*This is going to be a gamechanger for both AAA and Indie game developers but also real time film making.*
Real-time filmmaking! A lot of ppl still don't even know what that means, but the wheels are turning and the tech is becoming realized. Very soon the entertainment industry is about to become a real wild west again.
What triple aaa mean. Does the mean bigger studios. What does indie game mean. Does the mean for smaller studios
The mandalorian is already kinda showing what can be done!
@@bottledwaterprod what does it mean
@@eliisaac Exactly. You combine the stage used to film the Mandolorian with Unreal 5 and one could easily rearrange and relight the scenery on the fly.
This seems so next gen. Some might say it feels… Unreal
Are you proud of that?

its funny because cgi luke looks worse than the meta human feature on UE5. and thats running real time.

Who's "Goodby"?
BIG CREDIT to the devs who worked their socks off to bring us all this tech. Engine looks freakin incredible!
this is HUGE for devs, can't believe Quixel is free and integrated now. Indie games are about to look AAA!
..that's not how it works. Megascans is a quality resource, but the library is limited and generic, it's best used as a foundation. Any indie with a brain still won't commit to trying to match AAA/AAAA visual fidelity because you still have to tweak scans to fit your style/setting, and create all of the unique hero assets that you won't find in Quixel's library. one single AAA/AAAA quality hero asset (like a statue, unique building or rock formation) can take weeks so.. no, indies are not going to commit to that.
what you'll actually see is a lot more same-y looking games from amateur/hobbyist developers who try to use Quixel as a replacement for environment artists and art direction, before the excitement/hype wears off and they realise you can't replace an entire AAA art department with free photogrammetry scans.
@@0lionheart agreed kinda but NO amount of money can buy innovation, the better innovative creator's will figure how to create their own distinct settings from the others

Next gen games using UE5 is going to look insane!
These guys deserve so much credit for creating this UE5, its just amazing how easy they've made it for people to create their ideas with next gen graphics
Cant wait to see what The Coalition will do with this engine.
They are the king on unreal engine game development . Gears 6 is going to epic 👌👌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The visual gulf between Gears 4 to Gears 5 on XSX is tremendous. Gears 6 will be a sight to be behold.

Land of Nanite is exclusive unreal engine 5 game could be for pc as well though
Pony boys : Can only run on ps5 with Magic SSD...
Unreal 5 first minute : captured on series X
it was optimised for both so what's your point
The first demo was made only for the ps5 so it could only run on the ps5. This demo can run both because it was made to run on both, but we didn’t see how the Xbox can handle when the character is moving at high speeds just like we saw the ps5 do in the last demo

What people are excited for: NEW AWESOME GAMES
My mind: imagine the Corridor Crew with this at their hands

Just awesome!!!!! Finally games will look like their cinematic trailers as ACTUAL game play!! Finally!!!
Please make a new singelplayer unreal game with this engine or unreal tournament! :)
It's kinda creepy how the universe uses some of these data/resource saving tricks as well. For example photons go into a strange "every possibility existing at once" phase when not observed. It's only when watched or measured that they collapse into a wave function.
UE developers are creating software to create entire universes. This is the larval stage compared to where it's going.
Fascinating stuff! Makes me more excited for VR.
ue5 powered games, on next gen vr headset. that is gonna be a hell of an upgrade. im waiting for oculus to announce their new pc headset "rift 2", before im ready to upgrade my pc.

Please let this be the end of awful LoD pop-in
Yes, but mostly because of the new ssd’s not just nanite or whatever their using
@@balloonb0y677 Often, pop-in is due to scaling back details for FPS, not so much because of loading time off a drive. SSD's can help the initial load time, or when an enitre scene has to be loaded suddenly, like how the new Ratchet and Clank game loads entire new dimensions instantly by jumping through a portal.

If baking is gone then does that mean non RT capable GPUs are obsolete/can't run the game?
