- Time to be the biggest psychopath that we possibly can be.
There's basically no rules except we can only use knifes, axes, and other melee weapons for the entire playthrough.
Otherwise we can go nuts.. and don't worry... we do.

If you ever want to try this on gamma, there's an artifact which increases your melee damage and restores HP with each hit
Ahh i know i could have included that artefact mod, it’s actually in this modpack. It just wasn’t included in the preset I used
wow, thats retarded. there are a lot of things in gamma which i dont like( and so i dont play it), but this takes the cake
@@gruenerkoala Yeah the new weapons, graphics and NPC outfits are nice but the fact that warfare basically crashes the game everytime is pretty damn sad.. not to mention if you mess something up or enable the wrong mod, your whole game can break..
Well in gamma it also can instakill you with body health system.

I've been bummed cause I accidentally updated gamma and it keeps crashing every 10 minutes
Monolith Exos at distance seeing one boot though a bush: Can lay down heavy suppressive fire and pin point shots while using cover
Monolith Exos when a crazy loner comes running at them with a blade: Brain farts, starts to panic run and randomly starts to switch and reload weapons
There is a reason why the best advice for someone running at you with a blade is to run away

Yeah. Took me a while to realize that while Monolith are an absolute menace at range they have no clue how to fight up close.
Damn I guess the legend about "A stalker with right set of artefacts that killed a whole battalion of Monolith soliders with an axe" was real... But that Stalker had only one artefact and used a machete not axe

The axe is legitimately busted since it can 1 shot exos like its nothing. My endgame playthroughs have mostly ended with me ditching guns altogether and just using an axe and exosuit to clear groups of enemy stalkers.

I know I have taken down everything in the zone at least once with my Monolith's blade, including whole squads of stalkers. It is possible, and actually quite easy so long as you time everything just right.
Can someone recommend me what mod would you recommend for a first playthrough closest to vanilla but with game improvements and original story?
Honestly my friend, the Dark Signal modpack is my favorite. It has a Base Preset, that keeps gameplay almost identical to vanilla Anomaly. And an overhauled preset for a more exciting experience.
Well I hope someone gives us Strelok in tighty whiteys to balance the scales.

Yes and no
It’ll run fine, but sometimes it has issues with running Anomaly and DX11.

This is a nice challenge after learning how powerful most handguns are.
I watched a video testing actual shots to kill, made me try a pistol only run myself and it turns out an OTS-33 auto rechambered for 9x19 can carry you. Even the starter PM pistol is workable. Melee weapons on the other hand... Theres no good solution haha

There's an Azazel mode, so this could be Jason mode. You know what irritates me, though? There still hasn't been a mod that makes melee attacks work right. There's always an obligatory pause in between strikes. NO ONE fights like that IRL.

9:33 A kukri isn't made for stabbing. If it was, it would have a straight (and likely thin) blade. But then it wouldn't be a kukri.
14:00 There's no stabbing going on there. That's hacking and slashing. A kukri is made for hacking and slashing, not stabbing.

That I did not use, I’m pretty sure Dark Signal was using Dux’s innumerable characters. And this was all on 1.5.1
How about doing the gamma storylines using pistols only? or shotguns.
Grenades and IED and explosives only.
So Monolith wouldn't just be running away from a maniac, but running away from a mania with 50kg worth of TNT strapped in his backpack.
ei bro you gotta try efp 4.0 they really polished the mod a lot and added a lot of efp exclusive weapons and remade vanilla ones , they improved every aspect of the modpack

Wait you did not do sin story line or the UNISG? Can not say you fully beat the game if you did not do all the main story and just quit 1/3 of the way through.
UNISG can be finished in a couple of hours, so it's hardly 1/3 of the game.
