She saw me drooling over it as I watched your video, and she went onto their site and ordered it. I was so excited Yesterday when I opened it because usually my husband buys me a gift card for Ulta and adds the kids names on the card (which is great and appreciated) and I never get an *actual* gift that someone thought to buy me...and it was extra special for my daughter too because she is working her first ever job and it was her first year being able to buy gifts for everyone, so she was just as excited to see me open it as I was to receive it! Can't wait to use it tmrrw!

The first gift my middle daughter ever got with her own money for me were the original 3 kaleidos palettes from the sci-fi collection, and my youngest got me the Dos of colors Friendcation! They will forever stay on my top shelf bc they are def extra special! (I ordered myself the frosty flamingo for that darn pink Berry shade that’s been screaming my name since annettes video, and I bit last night after watching Tarababyz! I can’t wait for mine to arrive!
I love the setting powder in the darkest color. It looked like it would be too light but it is fairly translucent. It controls shine for several hours with a natural finish. Good for retouching in the day and the compact is pretty but durable to ride around in your purse. Only one of the eyeshadow palettes looked good for my skin tone. It gives a subtle look and works best on primer for dark skin. The liquid lip formula is nice too if you like that sort of thing.
My husband picked out the same 2 Catkin eyeshadow palettes for me because of their packaging. (He bought them from Amazon.) I agree with what you said. You get a soft glam or a gentle wash of color with these palettes. Usually, I wear very colorful eyeshadow looks. But, sometimes, I need to wear "everyday" makeup. I think that Catkin eyeshadow can fill that need.
Omg you in a shimmery rose brown eye kinda cracked me up :D I mean it was gorgeous, and so are you always, but you can just tell when you're really feeling yourself and that was just not it lol
I bought one from Amazon a year or so ago and decluttered it almost immediately - I wanted to love it because the colours were gorgeous - but the shades are so weak sauce - not enough pigmentation and hard to get them to show up - kind of like Makeup Revolution quality (another brand I steer clear of) - I'd recommend Colourpop over this any day and it's more affordable!

I looked on Amazon the last time you mentioned these lip balms and lipsticks, but I saw there were quite a few people who complained about the lip balms being too soft and weak in the tube, so I chose to pass, even though I was super tempted but understood it was more of the packaging drawing me in… than my desire for a nice lip balm. And if you would like to figure out what the packaging says, if you have an iPhone you can use the translate app and simply scan the label and it will translate it for you. And yes, Asian makeup tends to be more toned down and subtle… not quite the bang and bright pops of what many call Instaglam makeup that many of us wear. I would feel in need of more as well.

I wore it yesterday - the peachy matte over the lid and in the crease, a bit of the brown in the outer corner and that sparkly marbled one in the middle tapped over the lid - and it looked gorgeous. I’ve been more into subtler looks, using Natasha Denona or Charlotte Tilbury shadows, lately and this fit the bill.
Such pretty packaging... I literally love good packaging... not a brand for me I like super pigmentation.. but there is people this palette and brand is for... not everyone wants to be a colorful circus lady like me 🤣 still the looks turned out very pretty on you... and the colorful one is very nice looking
I've seen this brand on Amazon Annette and I like the look of the palette u used today but i'm more interested in their foundation as it has a lot of lovely skincare in it and think it would b just dandy for my level 56 skin. Their shade range and how the website is very stage though I thought. I am dyslexic so it could just be my brain! lol Their face powders look nice also. They do do a Matt lipstick also but I think there is only 2 shades. Thank u for testing #catkin for us, very much appreciated. Love Alli x

I think this is a perfect nuetral go to for days when you need a quick easy look (or for me when I go to my in laws and only use nuetral bc my MIL doesn't like the colorful looks) 🤣. That Highlighter is definitely stunning and so is the packaging 😍 Love the 2nd look you created. It's my type of nuetral.
Sorry for so many comments but I believe that shadows and makeup from this country that I guess they're from they have a more subtle look to them I mean that is the standard when applying makeup it's some more toned down look it's like an everyday wear. I have been eyeing those palettes, but they kept getting pushed lower in the wishlist, heh 😆 I think you were able to showcase them and make them appear more saturated than intended, which makes me interested again! Honestly, they look much more saturated and have more depth than most K-beauty palettes; and say Kaleidos is too colorful/too much for daily wear, then I think Catkin fills in that gap for people who want a bit more color from Asian beauty.
Just a suggestion. Whenever I encounter foreign language, I go to Google translate. The one where you can highlight what you want translated or you can get it all translated. It's usually quite understandable 😁... emphasise on "usually"😉

That first look was not your norm, but still really pretty. I wish empty magnetic palettes came half as nice. There's a crafter on Etsy who makes some gorgeous ones with decoupage + embellishments, but at several hundred dollars (understandably so, they are meticulously handmade) not in my budget.
Their not in your face bam you’ve only picked up a little but it’s just tooo pigmented I think because it’s a Chinese brand I’ve noticed Chinese women wear softer more subtle eyeshadow and as the brand primarily aimed at the Chinese market they have to sell what their consumers will buy I think as they get more and more popular outside China they’ll probably get more pigmented as western market prefer more pigmentation I’m definitely going to be watching them as I’ve quite a few of their products so I’m excited to see how they progress they’ve recently brought out some more I don’t know the right word bougee minimalistic packaging which is still gorgeous but not as ornate but still stunning
If this is actually a Chinese brand, then subtle colors is what you are actually get. The whole philosophy on asian make-up brands is "enhancing natural features" so bold and high-impact pigment is not really a thing here, but they do excel in making beautiful shimmer/glitter textures. Most of the colorful make-up here is just pops of orange, light green, yellow, or blues and then all are neutrals.
I avoid Chinese makeup brands because of the health standards that make it mandatory to test beauty products on animals. Only last year did the CCP relax some of these rules. Makeup is not worth that kind of suffering.
