- I have been collecting manga on and off for about 8 years or so now and I am so excited to share my collection with you all. I mostly collect shoujo but am trying top reach out into other genres so your recommendations are always welcome!

@@supershojogirl I KNOW RIGHT😭 I read that US tokyopop’s licence for it expired and they never renewed it before they shutdown :( a modern tragedy. But they released volume 8 in German I think so if you know German...😭

Mars is actually really good as a complete story imo. I go back and reread it every few years. Idk how hard it is to find though since I’ve had it in my collection for probably over 10 years. I regret not buying Red River at that time too. I’ve not even bothered attempting to collect it. Good luck to you in finding them all! XD
Hopefully they reprint Lovely Complex and Kamisama Kiss. I'd be happy even if they were in an omnibus format!

For some reason, I was a bit surprised to see that series there.
I'm starting to collect manga, because I have only 22 volumes (from 5 series), and I have 1st volume of Love at Fourteen. (I declare myself a male fan of Shojo) 🙃

I may have move volumes than you if vol 1's count lolol. takane hana is complete at 18 (also a special edition vol18 coming out). LOL yes vol 8 of blue flag is now complete haha. Yes!! First Hot Gimmick is hot garbage, glad you're warning people haha. And yes!! Kiss Him, Not Me is sooooo good. Usually avoid harem at all costs but it's such a good and funny read

Kiss him Not me is so underrated like yeah it’s a comedy but it actually had an amazing resolution to the story I loved it
Not me who more recently got into Happy Mania and Tramps Like Us and hasn't been able to complete the last few volumes for months. Feel like any old viz shojo I try to buy is OOP. Red River, Please Save my Earth, Boys over flowers, sand chronicles, etc. Also super jealous of your Black Jack collection wish Kodansha would reprint it but they dont. Think you might enjoy Descending Stories: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju it is a great josei series.
The intro being flipped really through me off, haha. Great collection though! I just got into manga collecting and am starting with Vinland Saga, Bakuman, and a few volumes of Vagabond, also picked up a few volumes of One Punch Man.

I wanna know how you choose which manga to buy . Interesting cover design or something like that
The things that have influenced my buying have changed so drastically over the years. I used to buy just to buy and so whatever was a good deal would end up in my collection but I highly advise against that. Now sometimes if a series catches my eye I’ll read the description and pick up the first volume or two. Otherwise I like to stick with authors I love :)

There are many groups out there on a variety of platforms. The one I am in is mostly for dvd collectors. Just searching fb or your desired social media for things like “manga collectors” will turn up some results :)

May I ask why you buy specific mangas and not reading?:)
I’ve been collecting on and off for years. When I first started collecting in high school I just wanted to buy any series that looked cool and I’d buy the full run of it as long as it wasn’t too long. Now though I’ll buy the first volume of a series and try it out but I’d say I’ve read about 50% of what’s in my collection if not more.
Is this channel only a manga collector one? Or do you have bigger aspirations?
I’m pretty happy with just collecting right now but we’ll see where it goes in the future ☺️

Haha I thought you meant like beyond being a manga channel. Haul videos were definitely the easiest and most fun to do but I need to cut back on spending a bit so don’t worry I have a list of videos just like what you mentioned ready for recording! ☺️
