When harvesting the street lamps, instead of using 5 or so square blocks to nerd pole up, you can use 2 ladder blocks. Just skip a space when placing them and you'll still be able to harvest them. It's a small time saver but if you gotta go on a steel hunt, it helps lol
If you want a quick and easy POI to loot a cooking pot from, always target the food trucks. The food trucks will always have a cooking pot and two ovens that can drop a cooking grill. You have to be in a city to find them, but they are the most reliable place to get the cooking tools. To boot, the only zombies to deal with will be roamers. The POI doesn't have any zombies of its own, so if you are low on health it's better than clearing a whole house in the hopes of a cooking pot.
Now that's a great tip!!! If only the Dishong Tower had a food truck. I'm struggling to find a cooking pot in my current pay through. Thanks for the tip! I'm definitely using that one 👍
@damnzambies My favorite change so far is the progression system with the skill magazines. As a console player who hasn't played since 2019 it's really nice to see that the game hasn't changed too much from what i know, and I'm sure most of these tips will still be use after the new console release later this year. ❤
Console 7 days is about to change with the new release. So I wouldn't say it will remain the same long 🧟♂️ but knowing how game developers work these days, it will probably be exactly the same 😂
@@damnzambies nah but sometimes i wish i was because i feel like it would be simper, this video has helped me i just keep having trouble but i legit did find 50 sham sandwiches in a random house😂
Haha yeah the game loot can be a little off sometimes. The sandwiches will help in the late game, but they are kinda useless for a while. What are you having trouble with? Mods? Or just the endless sham. 🍖
For anyone who wanted to know how to deal with food and water in the throughout the game then heres what you should do. Your worst case scenario is drinking water from a river or pond this is done by standing still and looking directly down to drink the murky water directly. Each sip will give you 10 water and a chance of a nasty debuff called Dysentery. This saps away at your hunger and hydration. If your desprate and but have some money then all traders will have vending machines around where you can buy any drink for hydration. Traders sometimes sell water too. After your first 2 quests you should be good with the murky water you find and the water you buy. After finding a cooking pot in a kitchen such as the oven or on the counter tops or buying it, you can turn your murky water bottles into fresh water. Toilets have a 50% chance for Murky water and a 5% chance for a hunting knife or pistol Theirs an unknown chance to get food and murky water from the master chef dumpster diving skill. Coffee Maker has a 50% chance for Murky Water and a 5% chance for Coffee. Otherwise a 75% chance for 1-3 Coffee Beans. From my testing when your rolling loot groups I beleive the game rolls the rarest chance first and works its way to guarenteed. Meaning for the toilet if you miss the 5% chance then it will roll for the 50% chance otherwise you get nothing. Soda Fountains have a 100% chance for murky water. Liqour Piles have a 75% chance for murky water. Backpacks have a 20% chance for murky water. Water Coolers has a 100% chance for murky water. All your water problems will be solved later on when you get 3-4 dew collectors or using the water filter helmet mod. Dont stack more then 4 dew collectors near each other and put them a little way away from your base, this is because of how heat mechanics work spawning screamer zombies. Food can be found at the end of POI alonside other loot often giving small amounts of canned food. Corn meal is useless and you can buy food from the vending machine. I reccomend using a bow and arrow or gun to hunt deer and use a bone knife to get meat from it. Chickens are pritty good too. If your conerned about finding wildlife their is a hunter perk that reveals them when standing still. But I often find the odd deer and chickens. You should not eat the meat raw but should create charred meat at the campfire. This will reduce water but with all the ways to get water its not a big deal. Later on you can find or buy the grill and read enough cooking books to create grilled meat instead. The only difference is grilled meat has no water penalty. Never feel pressured to get any cooking skills or farming skills as you can always find enough food and water and buy some if you need it. Its only a matter of quests.
For buried supplies don't dig deep. Just dig the top layer out. Do a big circle. The chest isnt technically hidden deep. It is brought to you through digging. So you can dig the whole top layer out then the 2nd layer and the chest will generate on the 3rd or 4th layer of earth

great vid, thank you. 1 thing that i have noticed is that you do not need your work stations in a base. as long as you do not stay near them when they are operating, no screamers and nothing bothers them. my last play through was in the last part of 2023, so i am not sure if they have changed anything on what i just said.
The way that works is heat generates by chunk. When the heat in that specific chunk reaches 100%, there's around a 75% chance that a screamer will spawn within that chunk. When she spawns, she'll walk towards whatever was generating heat. If you're not in that chunk, she won't scream, and will eventually wander off and despawn. However, if you're in an adjacent chunk, there's a chance that she'll wander your direction. Heat also overflows into adjacent chunks, so if you're right next door cooking and stuff, your chunk's heat will rise faster, which could lead to multiple screamers spawning at a time.

Thanks mate 👍 UA-cam must be reaching out to a wider audience. I disagree with dropping the LCB. Why waste all the stone needed to craft another to save one inventory slot. If you have spare mods, put them in any tier 6 item to sell for good amounts of dukes. Used to be more, but still is profitable. Also, regarding nr 22, I am not sure but I think traders just don't want 4 of the same items/stacks in their inventory, rather then more than 3 items in 1 trade. Instead of choosing the bike as my trader reward, I picked the water filters since I hadn't really found any, though I was close to being able to craft my own :D
Sure! They are simply difficulty indicators for the area you just entered. The more skulls, the more difficult the zombies will be. It also indicates the quality of the loot found in that area. The more difficult an area is, the higher the quality of loot will be. Each biome has a different difficulty multiplier. A building in the forest biome may have one orange skull, but go to the same building in the wasteland and it might go up to three red skulls. The colour of the skulls are another level of scaling. Three red skulls are more difficult than three orange skulls. Hope that makes sense 🧟♂️

It's not the best layout as I found it confusing when I was starting out, but you can even generate your own maps. It will all make sense the more you use it. 👍👍
To stop quests being assigned to a POI you have your base in, you need to place down a land claim block. You can craft it if you need as well. 👍 If you build a base that isn't in a quest POI, it isn't as important.
The fun pimps didn't change much in terms of game mechanics, so most, if not all the tips are still valid. 👍 Eventually I will check them all to be sure. But I'm confident nearly all are still relevant for 1.0. 🧟♂️
If you want to go out at night, a playthrough where you turn up the difficulty but set all the zombies to walk is a good option. If you just want to maximize your efficiency, crafting and whatever prep work that's needed is a good way to keep busy. I tend to use that time to organize and do internal base building.
Honestly, just find somewhere close to a trader and make yourself a base of operations. Then start doing quests and prepare your base for the day 7 horde. You will probably fail and die many times, but that's part of it. Once you have the basic game mechanics down you can venture out to other biomes on other maps. But stick around the forest for your first few playthroughs. Otherwise you will get frustrated while learning the game mechanics. When I started I found myself getting frustrated, but like any game you just need to pick up the basics. You might even find yourself addicted to the grind 👍 also avoid mods for now until you have the base game sorted. Mods are fun but will just confuse you at the start. Happy to help if you get stuck. 🧟♂️
You hit items with a wrench to break them down into parts. As you level up your character you will come across better tools to scrap with. Like the ratchet and impact driver. Make sure you put a few points into salvaging to increase your chances of finding salvage magazines in loot 👍👍👍
@@damnzambies yeh just told him we gotta do trader quest to get a bike so we might be rolling soon!, one question tho does he have to do 7 trader quest to get the bike or do we both get the rewards from the quest if I finish the 7 quest?
Great question.... And to be honest I have never actually played 7 days with someone else. I clearly need more friends 🤣. I would like to know so how about you complete 7 quests and let me know????
For people who have zombie spawns disabled: destroying a police car will still spawn in zombies and zombies that spawned before you changed the settings are also still there so be aware
There is a very big misunderstanding with this tip. It has nothing to do with the amount of resources. Simply put, one log will burn longer than one piece of wood. So if you have spare logs, it's more efficient to use them in the campfire or Chem station then throwing in the same amount of wood. 👍 It's not much of a tip I agree. But it's a tip.☺️
6:07 while you can do this, in my opinion its boring. If you really wanted to, you could do the entire POI, loot it and kill every zombie (but dont finish quest or take white river supplies), break every valuable block and restart the game; the quest resets and you can infinitely repeat this. Hence why its boring.
If you have any additional tips and tricks, feel free to leave them below. Sharing is caring 🧟♂️

If you want to go out at night, a playthrough where you turn up the difficulty but set all the zombies to walk is a good option. If you just want to maximize your efficiency, crafting and whatever prep work that's needed is a good way to keep busy. I tend to use that time to organize and do internal base building.
Just Dl the game,What's the best thing to do in the early game?
How do u wrench things I just hit them?
You hit items with a wrench to break them down into parts. As you level up your character you will come across better tools to scrap with. Like the ratchet and impact driver. Make sure you put a few points into salvaging to increase your chances of finding salvage magazines in loot 👍👍👍
Wait reading the book gives +50 XP but selling it gives 100 XP? So always sell if you already know the recipe?
Correct! Sometimes I just want the space in my inventory so I will re-read a book or magazine, but I try to sell them as much as possible 👍
45 inventory slots says that ain't happening. My puny weak character ain't got the time to waste inventory slots like that.
Me and my cousin just got this game and it’s pretty damn good we’re on day 4 rn tryna get some bikes haha this running shit is boring asf 😂
Yes!! Transport is definitely something you want to work towards ASAP. At least the mini bike. But the push bike is better than nothing 🚲
I'm new and on day 7 without a workbench yet?
The first horde night shouldn't be too crazy, but you will want a workbench as soon as possible to craft the more important items and weapons. 👍👍👍
There is something you didn't mention that you can fly by pressing one of the letters but I forgot which letter that was do you know it?😅😂
@@alsakre1057 G. With Debug mode on 😉🧟
@@damnzambies Just press the letter G ?
@alsakre1057 F1 - type dm - enter - F1 - then G to go into God mode 👌
@@damnzambies Sorry, I didn't understand the method well. F1 Then click on enter Then press on G Isn't that so?
@alsakre1057 nooo. Press F1, then type dm, press enter. Then press F1 again. Then press G 👍👍👍
For people who have zombie spawns disabled: destroying a police car will still spawn in zombies and zombies that spawned before you changed the settings are also still there so be aware
The wood and log tip is wrong, if you use the same amount of wood in a log it gives you the same time as a log
Tip 86. Spawn yourself a bicycle because f*** walking.
Haha go straight to the 4x4. Let's not waste any stamina. 👍
Agreed 👍 I'm not a fan personally, but it's still a tip some may want to try out to boost that loot grind. 🧟♂️
