I think multiple things can all be true at the same time. I was never allowed to watch WWE as a kid because of how it objectified women and other things. So if you say someone raped a consenting 16 year old in Alabama where age of consent is 16, then you could open the door to a defamation suit. The movement of any person for illegal reasons is legally classified as "trafficking." If it's for sex involving any sort of crime, it's human sex trafficking (what applies to McMahon when people call it that). If people are used to move drugs, it is still human trafficking, but also drug trafficking.
I get it, we have a very specific idea in our head when "human trafficking" issues, but from a legal aspect, him essentially pimping her out to various people and moving her across state lines, that's federal trafficking.
