Critical video for all students going to Germany.
In order to accelerate student admission and visa processing, the German Embassy introduced the Academic Evaluation Centre (APS), attached to the Science Section of this Embassy. From November 1st onwards, APS certificates will be a mandatory part of the documents to be submitted with your visa application. This means: Applicants need an APS certificate before filing a visa application. APS will be open for applications beginning October 1st, 2022. For more detailed information, please consult www.aps-india.de.
We will open new appointment slots for student visa applications through VFS Global. These slots are valid for applications to be submitted starting November 1st, 2022.
So, in short: Apply for APS certificate starting October 1st Book your appointment via VFS after obtaining the APS-certificate Appointments starting November 1st.
As there still is a number of entries on the appointment waitlist for winter semester 2022, please note that - unfortunately - it is not possible for the Embassy / Consulates to verify who is in possession of a still valid admission from a German university. Therefore, all students are kindly requested to register for an appointment only if you have obtained all mandatory documents.

APS won't send any confirmation email for receiving of the documents. But you will get the future updates.
If you get it from the courier service then it's all good !

Bro it won't be late ideally since you need to arrange couple of stuffs. Still if you want to be here at Germany without wasting time - you can go ahead with the APS formalities.

Hello, as far as I have seen till now - if you are applying with your 5 sem results then you might need TestAS whereas if you are a graduate, you don't need it.

Hi, Can I download and use the 12 certificate provided by digi locker, and send to the pas will they accept it as i dont have my original certificate with me
If you have a provisional certificate, you can use that along with the digi-locker version.
Also, just safe side, you can get a bonafide certificate from your school.
Do these, if you are in a hurry, otherwise, you can wait for the certificate to come.

I have a query regarding my state of the application and am a bit unclear on when to apply for APS certification.
So I'm currently a student who has completed his 6 of 8 semesters in Engineering and I'm planning for pursuing my master's in Germany in Sep/Oct intake 2023. I'd be having my transcripts from just 7 semesters by June 2023 and would have completed my Degree. But I'd rather not have my provisional certificate in hand, nor my whole 8 Semester transcripts.
So would those 7 semesters' transcripts be enough to apply for APS certification?
And would I be needed to apply for my 8th-semester transcript and Degree completion certificate separately after I receive them in Nov/Dec 2023 if my 7 semester grade sheets are enough to proceed with applying for APS and Visa?

A. YES you will be able to apply for APS with those things since there are various levels with which you can apply for it.

A. They have told that - you can get it updated once you get further certificates.
My suggestion -
Make a list of universities and their respective courses that you want to apply. Check their requirements -
If APS is needed --- take APS before your final degree and marksheets.
If APS is NOT needed --- apply for your universities, get admission and meanwhile apply for APS after getting your provisional and degree certificates. After passing your final graduation exam - You will be given marksheets + provisional at a faster speed because the universities are aware of the requirements of kids who want to go for further education.

Nikhil bhai, i had my appointment on 13th Oct, which was applied in August. Due to my consultant stupidity, we couldn't reach on time with all the documents so they cancelled my appointment and told me to reschedule it through VFS. Now my concern is

Hi bro, when were you waitlisted and what's your VFS ?
What you can do is calling VFS and telling about the scenario and asking them to book the appointment for you as now new appointment can be done only with APS and that will take your time again. Wish you good luck bro. Hope the call to VFS works.
You don't need to take TestAS. Test AS is waived for summer semester 2023..

For APS it is not necessary but it's mandatory for Visa.
Should I neatly handwrite the center's address on the envelope, or would it be better to print it on an A4 sheet and affix it to the front? Also, is it necessary to include both the "To" and "From" addresses, as well as the title of “APS evaluation” on the envelope?
You can do both. The To address should be BIG .... And in from write your address !!!

2.) Submission number:
Please note that your submission number is no indicator for the speed with which your verification will get processed. The speed with which your documents will get verified depends to a large degree on the willingness of your schools and universities to cooperate with us.
3.) Emails:
We are currently receiving somewhere between 500 to 1000 emails per day. Most of the questions asked in these mails have been answered on our website in the FAQ and News sections already. Please make sure that you have you have familiarized yourself with our website before posing questions. We understand that you are anxious to get your documents verified as quickly as possible, however, sending 15 emails in a row, asking about your verification status right after having received your payment confirmation will only take away precious time we would rather dedicate to people who really need our immediate assistance.

I am applying for APS for Exchange program and for that both Indian and German Universities have to share the student details and Mou between the Universities which both of them already did. But we are still waiting for the Group number that they will assign to us for registering and filling the application form. Group number is something different I guess. Since your have mou between both University, you can call VFS , embassy about the same. It can only increase the speed of the process.

Hey Sangeetha, you have to trust the delivery person and wait for APS to take action. It might take a little time and keep checking on your emails and phone calls.

Is Language certificate german/English mandatory while applying for APS?

A Langauge certificate is not necessary during APS. But it is mandatory during your visa process.
bro , I want to go to germany for bachelors for winter semester 2023 I am in first year college right now , I will get my second semester marksheet in july and the whole aps process will take entire august then I can apply for visa appointment which will further take time beyond october , so should i apply for aps certificate without second semester marksheet
I guess yes - you should go ahead with APS stuff.
For further verification either you can represent your original mark sheet at VFS/Embassy or get your APS updated rather than waiting for it at the end time and loosing one-two semester

Actually there is a small spelling mistake of my 10th marksheet and diploma marksheet, my fathers name has been wrong in the marksheet..

Small spelling mistakes won't be a big issue. If you haven't sent the documents yet, you can make a note about it. And attach additional proof about your father like pan card and your father's aadhar card just for their satisfaction.
If documents already sent, no big deal wait for them to ask if there is an issue.
They asked for a signed application document in the list of documents that need to be sent. I have a few queries. Can you please help.

>> You can give mark sheets of the rest of the 5 semesters and along with that bonafide certificate. If you are not in too much a hurry then you can wait for the course to get completed.

I guess no since it’s not used anywhere. And you will be getting back e-certificate so address won’t matter much.

They won’t send any confirmation email. You just have to wait for it. Keep checking emails and be connected with other students who have applied around same date.
Its been more than 5months still I didn't received my APS certificate. What should I do?
Ask you professor in India if they have got any verification email and then mail APS couple of times.
The passport number entered during Registration is wrong.
But account activated.
Have to send the documents now.
How do I edit the passport number?
You can try. If you are not able to do it - simply make the changes with a pencil on the printed form and add a sticky note and proof with the reasoning why you want to change it.

I am unable to log in to the APS site. There is no further information visible on my account section. The page is kept on loading and then it shows the site has been overloaded I've sent my documents through courier on 21october 2022 and also handed them over to the Delhi office on 11 November 2022

My professor responded to their email for verification on 2nd DEC but I received a mail from APS that "As per the verification process we have already send an email to the college or University but we have not received any response let.
So Kindly contact to your college to respond our verification mail or share us the professors email id or student login id and password." on 15th Dec.
So I asked my professor to reply once again and she did.
I received the mail from APS again saying that they not received any response.
What do I do now?
You can ask your professor to use your application number in the subject line.
I assume your professor is using the university email. If not please ask them to do so. Also, worst case scenario send a screenshot of your professor’s reply to APS with your email.

Hi, I have a doubt regarding the APS fee transfer. My CCAvenue is not working. Can I do a bank transfer? When I do a bank transfer, I am not able to see the IFSC code, only the transaction ID. Can I leave the IFSC code then? and What is the length of transaction number? I have a transaction id of 16 characters. Is that ok?

Yes. Its fine if IFSC number is not visible and transaction number can be 16 digit. No harm in that.

For two sided documents like Aadhar card and Transcripts, should we take photocopy of both sides on one page or only one side on one page?
For aadhar card - you can take both page on one side. Whereas for transcripts - take front and back as it's size is large.

I have my provisional with me and transcript till 5th semester. Provide each and everything you have. The more marksheet and certificate, it will be easier for them to verify you. Good luck.

If you got the money debited from your account - then in that case you can submit any transaction proof you have.
If not submitted, you can pay offline using Gpay and all.
I have applied and provuded my certificates on 28th of October. i have received a mail regarding payment verification last week saying that further updates will be provided via mail or the aps account. I think the site have been updated and when i try to login to the aps account, i couldn't login, it is said that the username was not registered, looks like the site have been updated. Check with your indian university, if they can send an email from their registered email id telling about your details.

I got to know that APS verifies with the CBSE department and not with schools.
Actually, I'm an Indian student completed schooling in Saudi Arabia. Trying to applying for student visa also here.
From the DAAD staff I got to know that students who studied/completed schooling outside India doesn't require APS.
I tried to tell this fact to the German embassy in Riyadh. They said that it's a rule of them to provide the certificate.
I can understand. If you have done CBSE then I guess waiting is the only thing. If you have got admission in German University, you can maybe request them to drop an email to German embassy in India as well as Riyadh. Also, try doing the Twitter thing since your case is special it might work.

What you can do is - get an extension letter from your university asking till when you can come. Because after APS you need to apply for VISA and that will take its time apart from aps.

If you have PR at Spain then in a way you are already EU citizen, then I don't feel you will need APS.
But still, just because your education is from India, I suggest you to once get in connect with Embassy and they can reply the exact answers.
