You do know she mentioned the camera companies for reason why would you use a $400 monitor on an Arri Alexa I’m also guessing that when they say Sony they’re talking about the Burano and higher
You can get a 2000 nit monitor for a fraction of a price and then replace it 7-8 times IF you brake it in the rain for the same price as this SmallHD. Also 100$ metal cages are a thing, there's no need for "shock absorbing design"
C'mon with that price I can get 2 Atomos 7" Shogun Ultra that records at the same time not only monitor. This people from SmallHD go overprice with their devices 🙄
smallhd is miles ahead of atomos monitors, not a comparison. Shogun is a great monitor, but SmallHD is the best option for sure, screen is much better and the OS is soooo much better and that's what you are paying for and that's why they charge so much, because they know they are the Arri of field monitors. If you want to save some money, portkeys is a much better brand when compared to Atomos IMO
Every time I see a new monitor I keep asking the question: "why the f*** can't I just connect my phone via Type-C cable and use it as monitor"? Modern phones have amazing HDR displays.
Yeah, most phones have higher tech displays than most external camera monitor products do. There are a couple products that let you use your phone as your monitor, the DJI SDR transmission looks interesting.
'"rugged shooting environments and harsh conditions"... 0 degrees Celsius isn't an arctic tundra. Would expect it to officially operate in colder temps for that price. Do better B&H. I can get the specs on the product page.
Ultra Bright, Ultra Tough... You forgot Ultra Expensive 🤣🤣
True 😂
😅😅😅😅
moreover RED Direct Mount has extremely poor rating just checked reviews
and it is the only option to have camera's menu for a RED

Thanks Reilly!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Gorgeous!
Great to see they're keeping the joystick.
Ordered the RX 1500 Version. Yes, it was expensive, but I think it is worth it. I am a 1. AC Focus Puller. 😅
Maybe i’m not understanding but they say 6G-SDI and I see on the frame at 1:21 near the SDI ports it says 12G-SDI
I am still waiting for a Camera control feature for the new Canon C400 cine camera in 1/2025!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it doesn’t support HDR or HLG, reminder we are in mid 2024
I ended this video at 1.38 secs as I’d found out the price.
Brooooooo.
2500 bucks ?
How is a 3000 dollar monitor not 4k?
A 3000 dollar monitor with an 8bit panel in 2024 xd.
$2500, only working DPs can afford that.
We can certainly afford that but a lot of us will pass as the value just isn't there.
