    “Nowadays” sure is a poignant song in this context.
    I’m always out of time, feel like I was born too late - piano bars like that would’ve been right up my alley.

    You have saved an amazing era that many never experienced..oh to see Vito before AIDS...what a trendsetter trying to get gay life understood by many. Thanks again for these...brilliantl

    Frank O'Dowd died in 1988, Vito Russo died 1990, and Peter Adair in 1996, all of AIDS. Jan Wallman died October 8, 2015 at age 93.

    I have read Vito Russo's "Celluloid Closet" many times. He is my "movie gauge". I always ask myself what Vito would think when I see a gay movie or TV character. Movies were integral to my coming out as a teen.
