Dude, I am literally going to do the same thing. The exact same scenario, late father, 1967 TR6R passed on to me, sitting for 35 years. I would love any advice you have!
Take your time don’t cut corners research research a lot of pictures should be taken before tear down. Join the Facebook triumph vintage pages and get a parts book. Your gonna spend 6-8 thousand minimum.
I'll never waste my time on another Triumph. My TR6 has such high compression it won't turn over with the plugs installed. How the British ever sold their hard starting pieces of junk is beyond me.
Bill Hickman I used many places to source. eBay, classic British spares, the bonneville shop, British only, to name a few. Most shops have everything but I was looking for best prices so I jumped around.
Great job - looks and sounds fantastic !!
Beautiful job!
Thanks

😂 well mine starts first kick every time sounds like you need to hit the gym or rebuild your engine
Very beautiful bike. Where did you find all the parts for it? I inherited my grandfathers 1964 triumph and I want to restore it.
