Nice testing job on these Sirius panels! We think they're pretty great and appreciate the attention to detail with the water hose and tarp!
I maximize bifacial output in my ground mounted proof of concept, testbed. What you are describing regarding the clouds is Cloud Edge Effect. Add in high albedo values below and with CEE you can see extremely high efficiency in bursts on cloudy days. My record is 27% efficiency.
I actually have a startup on how to use waste to mirror a version of CEE which I hope to scale to large scale farms or microgrid pv-bess. I am from Canada but also US now and its been my goal to help prove how great Canada is for utilizing ground mounted bifacial pv, including patio installations yours. It's much better than rooftop for bifacial output but also easier access for more cleanings.

Very nice performance, I am getting about the same with the Aptos 400w panels some days average around 480w per panel, modern bi-facial for the win!

We have a 3kw grid tied solar system. Just added the 18k hybrid mini from signature solar. Do you think the hybrid or the ac only version with higher seer rating makes more sense to purchase. We are looking at needing another on our property. Since or panels are micro inverted right into the grid it's easier to add more solar by using the hybrid the mini but the higher efficiency unit in appealing. Thanks for your time and videos.
Correction, 12k mini split
The higher efficiency doesn't make much of a difference, I would get the hybrid so you have both options
it was realy nice when i saw Woods brand on the tarp.

Maybe you could do an all day with that panel mounted vertically with an edge pointing solar south

I really need to add a mini split to my home , my main AC can’t keep up and it just costs so much to run

i've been seeing more light weight flexible panels in my area (Southern California) being sold on various facebook marketplace. It has a rating of 415w, and they are the size of a regular large panel, but it weighs only 16lbs?
They said life is 25yrs.
Are these legit?

What are you going to do do with the old panels?
Hook them up to one of the mini splits, just not sure where to put them yet
@@SmitHVAC. that’s why I was asking since my idea might work for you. Build a foldable lean-to against the house at ground level. Imagine a foldable awning for an RV or a tuck away bed. Then you can choose when to have them in service vs them sitting around. I think it would be a neat idea.
