I feel bad for Stolarz who was playing Vezina-level hockey. I guess we have to look at the bright side and be glad it's just a "minor" surgery and not a season-ending injury. Get well soon and don't rush back. Take care of your body because we're going to count on you for the long haul. The extended workload will be a good test for Woll and a great opportunity for the backups. This definitely isn't good news but Woll's been just as great as Stolarz and with the tightened defense, I think goaltending will be fine. I'm more worried about bottom-six offense, or lack thereof.
And honestly, if he recovers from his own injury sooner, Murray could very sub in for Hildeby - Let him get some more AHL experience, and give the ol' dog a chance to show he can still play NHL hockey. If for nothing more than auditioning for a new contract. (Not necessarily with Toronto, mind you)
Get well soon Anthony, we can’t wait to see you back on the ice, let’s go Joseph and Dennis, time for you guys to handle things in net, get wins for Anthony!
You mean since Auston came back. I hate to be a downer but you're right. The Leafs have been playing badly and it's been mostly the goalies keeping them in the game. Late heroic goals by the core four wins it but this style of play won't cut it for the playoffs. Leafs look slow this year and can't make/handle passes. Young fast teams and strong forechecking teams are running circles against these Leafs.
I wish that at the end of the year, all players are given mics and the cameras are turned on the journalists. Players can bring up highlights or lowlights feom their season and ask they pointed questions about their performance this year.
I can see the resemblance, but given the time frame, it's extremely unlikely (The Oilers played last night, and it's likely this media scrum happened close to midday)
Treliving signed a goalie with known knee problem history. The fact that he comes out and mentions it as not related to prior history is awfully defensive of him. Once a knee starts degenerating its a slippery slope keeping it healthy - it never returns to 100%.
They finally get bodies back just for another player to go down. But like Tre said, this is why it's important for teams to have depth and so far, depth-players have played well enough not to sink the ship. And honestly, even with Stolarz gone for a month or two, I'm more worried about the lack of offense/finish, especially from the bottom six. Leafs have been good at keeping pucks out of their net largely thanks to the goalies. We need more contribution from the offensive group.
@@hottuna2006 I'm not too worried about offense. We have our guys back. I'm more worried about keeping the puck out of our net. We all know how the Leafs can be without good goaltending.
Perhaps you could ask the guys barking in that background to move closer to the mic. It would be nice if it were even harder to hear the reporters. Same old Leafs tech team.
@red3here treliving literally just said they gave him an MRI the day after he was pulled. They're telling us NOW, AFTER he's already had the procedure.
You understand that on the other side of the ice isn't just well rested people. It's well rested pro athletes. If you can't play better against a tired team, than you're the joke of the league. Half asleep McDavid is still gonna struggle against someone like knies.
@@AlexdenommeI’m very well aware that Both Leon and Connor are going to get goals, in some games they will always get the best of us, don’t get me wrong.

Sad to hear that Stollie is out 4-6 weeks. 😳🙁 Hopefully Woller and the Beast can hold the fort.
In Woller we trust 🧱
Woller is the best.🏆🏅🥇🏆🏅🏆

Stolarz being out will be a great test for Woll and deep playoff aspirations for the team. The Beast is still learning
I wish hockey players would be honest and say that the opposing team really sucks and we played like crap, but we got lucky
Get well soon Anthony, we can’t wait to see you back on the ice, let’s go Joseph and Dennis, time for you guys to handle things in net, get wins for Anthony!
This team hasnt played a full 60 mins since auston was hurt

Yea they have.
Go Leafs Go..#IBELEAF

Let's go boys!!
From Stollie & Wollie to Wollie & Beast
Go Leafs Go .❤❤❤
Keep your fingers crossed 🤞 Woll doesn’t get injured. Murray is injury prone. It might be the Beast and AA.
You worry to much, they also have a Russian guy that may be better than all of them.
Great win with Buffalo. ❤❤❤
Is that McDavid beside Tre?
I can see the resemblance, but given the time frame, it's extremely unlikely (The Oilers played last night, and it's likely this media scrum happened close to midday)
Looks like him but it’s a journalist
Brutal.

I shouldnt say this but, what if woll ets hurt now?
Don't you even dare...
That's a Captain!
This team is so frustrating. Anytime they start doing good their #1 goalie goes down

Go leafs go
A little pebble in his knee? That's bone I would think. He's knee bone is chipping away.
Don’t think so.
They need to do a biopsy on that loose pebble/loose Body/loose growth.
Every team suffers injuries. Get over it.
They will be fine.

Love auston but Jts still our real captian and as long as he’s here he always will be
All hail the return of Matt Murray.
He will lead us to a Stanley Cup as he did with the Penguins.
Stolarz has an Alien implant!!!!!!
Bring Kadri back! Leafs4lif3
Day to day my ass. This team needs to stop lying to it's fanbase
Why do you think they were lying? Ever think it was day to day than it got worse don’t be always quick to judge.

Hildeby is ahead of Murray.
