Hello, I made two batches of these - one flavoured with blended sweetcorn and one with blended strawberries and chilli. I made 20mm size for Carp and 10mm size for general fishing. I used them the day after, I had to stop using one rod! The Tench went mad for the strawberry 10mm mounted on a hair rig. Cheers
I've been making ones similar to this for that past few years and have had decent luck with it. over here in the US we don't have ready access to boilies and spending a lot on baits to have shipped to me is not my way. I would like to add; try using a crushed cereal, corn flakes or cherrios to the mix has gave me good results, or using the fluid from canned corn, and I have used Jello as the flavoring also.
@Sean Sheep yes I do, but where I'm at it's still few and far between of people who target carp. A large part over here has taken up more commercial style carp fishing, mainly west coast, midwest US since the post and that's good. Thx , I think I will go make a small batch and have a sit by the river this weekend.
Saw this vid this morning, straight down the shop, got the stuff, I used red dye. Made the boilies, I upped the ratio to 4oz each, got at least 100 boilies. Well done Bill. Now onto the crab paste! Crikey have you seen the price of Boilies?
If you need a recipe to use for all purpose flour, I make a banana flavored boilie recipe and it worked great for me. A little bit of tumeric for a natural alternative to dye and boom! I have a tutorial posted as well.
couldn't get flavouring from sainsburys, asdas, tescos or M&S. So amazon but that's £8 for a small vial though they had strawberries and cream flavouring for under a fiver but the fruit essence wouldn't be so potent. So trying jello!
for us simple cheap folk....ive been having tons of success with stale white bread rolled into a ball, when wet, stays on the hook very well....id like to make a homemade dough ball, but not soo fancy, anyone know if it would work to just use flour and instead of plain water, perhaps using chicken boullion?
+Matthew Lawrence its called durham flour or dur you can use chick pea flour too most groundbait will work as half the mix and the other maize flour you guys called corn flour hope that helps
I don't know anything about Soya Flour or Semolina. Semolina I might could find at the grocery store but not the Soya Flour. And what did the guy use as FLAVORING????? I don't think he told us what the flavoring was. And will this bait work to catch a grass carp or is it for the non grass carp?
Try grinding carp pellets to a fine powder then add eggs and flavouring. Bag of pellets 4 quid eggs 1.50 work a treat caught 8 20s this season on them and holding their own against branded boilies
UK carp must be very different than American carp. I find boilies, and even hair rigs, are nowhere near as good here as plain old doughball that's ten times easier to make, and that you use by covering the entire hook. My catch ratio is at least two to one over those fishing with any kind of boilies, and my hookup ratio is at least three to one over those who fish with a naked hook, or even a partially naked hook.

If your doing 1kilo whats the flavouring and colour mixture..
Alternative for semolina???
Joneill Aquino flower mate has to be high gluten tho and I’m trying to find one but every supermarket doesn’t say weather it’s night gluten or not
Can I make catfish boilies with this mix
Can you use wheat flour along with semolina flour for a base?
I use maize flour instead of soya. Works well

Here in the USA I can't find semolina or soya... What can be used to substituted for these flours?
+Matthew Lawrence its called durham flour or dur you can use chick pea flour too most groundbait will work as half the mix and the other maize flour you guys called corn flour hope that helps
Whole wheat flour and couscous.
Hello, these boilies float? Thank you
Afiq Khalil it's the opposite,
If you microwave them for about 30-45 seconds they float
Boiling them makes them sink
What is the substitute for semolina and soya flower
Ben Parra go on eBay! There's modified soya flour for boilie making!!!
Can you freeze home made boilies?
You have to.
Do they float or sink??
sink, to make them float you put them in the microwave for a little instead of boiling

Flavouring was strawberry he had it in the little red bottle.most supermarkets stock it in the cake baking section along with all colourings
or you could try strawberry Jello
Is soya flour a must?
Zack Leftwich nope
Great vid
Uncle can i use corn flour, semolina, egg, food flavour and food colour
Try grinding carp pellets to a fine powder then add eggs and flavouring. Bag of pellets 4 quid eggs 1.50 work a treat caught 8 20s this season on them and holding their own against branded boilies
u made groundbait
Just made some almond ones I'll give them a go tomorrow😃
How did you get on?
great video...thanks.👍
has it got to be soya flower ?
superhunter992 no
The flours just have to be high in gluten, if the boilies have a low gluten content they will go to mush
Buy soya flour from eBay its a lot cheaper and it's modifyed for boule making its more better for carp !
Is 2 min not to long ?
The semolina what is that?
We dont know that in belgium i think 🙄😳
Pastabloem
It works

i tried but boilies dint pop up in water what should i do
microwave the boilies instead of boiling for very short amount of time 30 seconds or less this expands the egg in the boilie making it float
add cork dust to the mix
To make pop-ups you just use the same ingredients but microwave them
I can’t be the only one who thinks he sounds like David Attenborough
Made 'em. These aren't very hard boilies, Dude (if you're out there). They're barely harder than the paste after boiling.
like it...
Terry tibbs talk to me
People obsessed with boilies..
On a budget?tight arse? Sweetcorn, pepperami, cheese, bread, chick peas (soaked 24 hrs) all catch carp...
Its a great boilies? Its the biggest I ever saw LOL
Total junk you would think a "reputable" magazine would have more to offer then undigestible balls of crap.
How do u know it's undigestible?
