you should do the last frame as a art piece on that wall with a QR code or something next to it that links it to this video cause that is truly amazing and beautiful. New way to enjoy art and evolves the medium
I have been an animator at the WB studios since the 80's... Dude, I am soooo impressed. This is freaking epic. Amazing job brother. Absolutely Amazing. Time for the animation film festivals.
Film festival, indeed! Maybe tweak the ending so that the next person is a 12-year-old black girl or something unexpected. I thought perhaps that you had re-spawned like a video game or something. 🤷🏾
What would be cool is if you had a QR code on that wall now. Whenever anyone passes by or in that area, they can scan that code and be part of that animation space.
That’s a great idea, because I didn’t get that the last person was supposed to be a different character. I thought that maybe he had re-spawned or something. To make it more clear that it’s a different person, maybe just use actual different people as you’ve suggested. The more diverse the better.
Dude, i tried rolling an imaginary snow boulder and in Procreate Dreams I found out how inaccurate my movements were. So I massively admire your invisible drawing skills
It's crazy that my back hurts only while watching this video, which makes me feel bad for this guy who has spend such a huge quality amount of his time and efforts in this video. Virtual standing ovation!!!! You're amazing
I am an author and illustrator of books for young people and what a joy to see a picture book that inspired this great project! A book can change lives. Greetings from Colombia!
Now imagine those old time Disney animators drawing entire films after seeing how much work these few seconds are, and this man had technology to make it easier
Didn't expect the ending after the great explosion, short lived victory lol. Awesome work tho man, hope to turn it up and do more this year personally. Take it easy, looking forward to more great vids! Remember some of my early inspirations to do art came from artwork in books like 'One Monster After Another' and the 'Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark' series to name some. Also game manuals (when they used to put that extra art, character backgrounds, and world building in them), and all sorts of animated films, western and Japanese.
About the ending - it reminded me of classic horror movies where the monster always comes back one last time, like Carrie's hand coming out of the grave, or Fatal Attraction where Glenn Close's character reared up out of the bath. It works because you relax when you think the monster is dead and then the biggest jump scare comes. The monster always comes back one last time.
I was righht in the middle to order this Trex you had or the Hammond Collection one... But now as I know you have this T-Rex too, i need to order it too... video is very nice so far. Should we do a T-Rex wall together, when we meet? or a dinosaurs wall? this would be so nice... and I make a nice throwy for you!
Same! Do you by any chance remember a kids show based on some books with same principle called, "Simon In the Land of Chalk Drawings"? I grew up in Canada and I think it was produced in London during the 70s. It aired for decades.
@@JaneofArc Ohh! Unfortunately, It wasn't localized in my country :(( (I live In Mexico) Although It does look similar, I wish I had watched It back then though
@mauigonz Yeah, I was wondering because you mentioned the purple crayon book being your first contact with English. It was kind of a cheesy show, but as a kid, I thought it was pretty cool for same reasons we love the book talked about in this video. Thanks for your reply. ❤️
This is genius !!!! ❤I feel like people can underestimate the work that really goes into a piece of art especially with animation. Thanks for giving us insight on the behind the scenes 🤗
I am a huge fan of both Kiptoe and Harold and the Purple Crayon; so this video was perfection! Dude, you are seriously the most creative and talented person I’ve ever known. 🤩👍🏻
This was such an awesome concept. Your movie making skills completely match your artistic skills as well. I love watching all the videos you put out, you always inspire me to learn more and do better in making short films and movies. Well done Kiptoe!
I still have my Harold and the purple crayon book from when I was a kid too and of course I’m an illustrator. 😊 I loved what you did with your purple spray can! It’s a fitting tribute to Harold and his Purple Crayon (Crockett Johnson) ❤
I thought you drew all those frames on the wall so when a car or smtg moves on road it feels like a animation , but you idea was also realllyy impressive, awesome work!
I'm glad this showed up in my algorithm. Brought back a lot of beautiful memories reading this with my daughter. Harold and the Purple Crayon was my favorite to read to her.
Hullo Kiptoe, Nicely done and excellent animation! I have been watching you for quite a while now and I am just astonished with your movie making skills! Your branching out way beyond painting and it is becoming apparent that your skills are growing in the film creation field so much further than the spray painting creation, which has been tremendously amazing for quite some time too! I am happy that your doing so well in every field of endeavor that you choose to create your Art in. Thanks for continuing to share and show us your progress and fantastical worlds that your creating!
Dude that was great! I love it when you show up with some brand new idea/concept. You’re killing it. This was one of your most creative shorts yet (imo)! Keep it up dude!
WOOOOWWWW!!!!😮😮😮 The Talent you have in making drawings and murals was so amazing that's why I was admiring you and idolizing you in doing arts but this one is so different the patience of doing that animation was so amazing salute to all the animators out there 🔥🔥
If the video ends with a little boy holding the T-Rex toy you bought and curiously picking up the purple spray can, that completes the story and your video is great!
I actually loved Harold and the Purple Crayon as a kid too, and i agree that it definitely influenced my decision to become an artist! This animation was amazing!!! Seriously, nice work 🔥
That far exceeded my expectations…at first I was a bit disappointed it wasn’t being done on the literal wall but you totally nailed it and more than made up for it. Plus actually doing the invisible painting movements then filling it in was very cool. So good!
I really admire Kiptoe for his art. To see he say "I'll need to exercise my will power here..." really boosted my confidence. I usually critize myself for struggling to create stuff... But today I learned that every one struggle to create stuff... hehe Thank you so, so much!!!
So creative ❤ loved the scientific research 😂😂😂Also totally stealing the design for the crotchet granny square blanket in one of your childhood pictures to recreate for my niece. Loved the surprise ending 😅
What an awesome animation. I'm very happy you had the motivation to finish this. I get the feeling of being unsure about your own work but this is fantastic.
I just finished my first animation on Procreate Dreams and you did a amazing job. Time consuming but worth the effort in the end. I hope u do more in the future. Love your work.
This was next level. I loved watching the process, especially seeing the mistakes and how you came up with solutions. Thank you for your generosity of sharing your creative process with people!
Fun and hard. What a wonderful result. You can be very proud of the results, and more importantly, your new capabilities and command of more tools of your trade! I remember the endless hours of learning a variety of 3D software to create renders and videos of industrial products that just couldn’t be captured in camera. Made me more valuable to my clients. Very impressed with your perseverance.
I do dabble in animation and your story was epic. very inspiring, this is why there are teams working big projects. Keep working dude it keeps us watching.
