When I worked as a cashier in a grocery store the bleeps startled me and I would chuck random items back into the aisle. I overcame my fear by wearing construction ear protectors. One day I came into work finding someone else sitting where I used to sit, turns out I was fired but I just didn't hear it.

How to not get jumpscared tips and tricks:
idk if you live alone or whatever but i used to play tarkov and always jumped. I just asked all the people who live with me to sneak up and scare me from behind whenever possible. I now never get scared, not even at the instagram reels where some sort of creature comes out of nowhere. I have the nerves of a golem.

Tip: Repair benches can now refill jackhammers for free, just like workbenches (since 1 or 2 updates ago). One of the furnace bases you raided, you used a jackhammer to raid to the TC and had to run outside to refill it. But they had a repair bench right inside. Good luck in the future. Jump scare training: I got over this playing ghosts of tabor in VR. Any time you go into a high risk situation just take some slow deep breaths. Gets you into the mindset that you’re going to get shot at reminding you not to jump because you’re readying yourself for it whilst also calming you and steadying the nerves.
Spoon go to an indoor shooting range with hearing protection, rent a pistol or w.e and try and get used to the loud noise of gun fire. It helps out a lot man

spoonkid i am a licensed psychologist, what you have to do to get over ur fear of jump scares is avoiding it as much as possible, at all costs avoid it. it is the only way. it works because evetually when u dont experience it u will build up ur defenses against it and u will become stronger and then u won’t be scared. the period you have to avoid it is probably about half a year. forgive me for my bad spelling english is my third language

14:10 I used to be a very fearful person, afraid of nearly everything, but now I'm afraid of NEARLY nothing. I'd say the one thing I really am scared of is losing the ones I love, but I'd say that's healthy. I got over them just by finding reasons to not be scared, I guess. I rationalized everything and grew a sort of mentality. "If I think I will fail, I will fail. So, I must assume I will win so long as I try my hardest." And that has carried me through everything fearlessly. I've fought rabid dogs, and even used to be an MMA fighter, so I am in a position that most others can't experience in their lifetimes. I've fought people bigger than me and won. That's the kind of confidence you have to earn... Unfortunately. My biggest fear was the ocean, but now I kind of want to live in the ocean, so it's safe to say I'm not afraid of it anymore. Always played with the idea of buying a decommissioned oil platform and living on it.

45:32 gave me such a great idea for when you're raiding and are in that situation. You should place 2-3 bags around the raid target before you start raiding. Raid, get loot out, got to a well hidden bush, suicide, respawn in one of the nearby bags, and repeat. Let's be honest, very unlikely someone spots the bodies and you get more loot out before he can respawn and seal.
