you know I normally try to stay away from people like this, but this girl is extremely vocally talented and appears to have an actual understanding of music which is a rare treat.
To the people complaining about the screaming, probably most concerts are like this, but when concert videos are professionally recorded, they use audio directly from the microphone to cut out most of the audience noise. This video has been shot on someone’s personal phone or camera, who was sat/stood in the audience, which is why the audience’s sounds are so prominent.
It’s pretty obvious she’s working with technology that she’s still learning how to use and the crowd isn’t really giving her the opportunity to concentrate on her performance. I know it can be argued that this wasn’t the time to try it out as I’m sure this was a very large turnout, but performing includes taking risks like this. I’m not a big Ariana fan and it’s certainly not for lack of talent. She is clearly very gifted. This song is challenging as hell to sing at all let alone perform it live. With that said, she did a damn good job. I just wish I could hear her more than the crowd. It’s very frustrating that no one sensed that maybe this kind of performance calls for dead silence. The cheers during breathing breaks are very unnecessary and obnoxious.

she's actually using the gloves that imogen heap designed to manipulate the "autotune" in real time, which is almost the same as what imogen heap does in her live performances. so it's actually pretty faithful to both the original song and the method that imogen heap uses to get that amazing sound.

But what these gloves are doing is stacking her vocals to different pitches to form chords. The thing about this is it takes what she is singing and changes the pitch, rather than polish it. So if she messes up, the stacked vocals will sound messed up too.

she's actually using the gloves that imogen heap designed to manipulate the "autotune" in real time, which is almost the same as what imogen heap does in her live performances. so it's actually pretty faithful to both the original song and the method that imogen heap uses to get that amazing sound.
@@xxxindigo Autotune is different. It fixes your voice to polish your voice (I generally prefer a natural sounding voice too). But what these gloves are doing is stacking her vocals to different pitches to form chords. The thing about this is it takes what she is singing and changes the pitch, rather than polish it. So if she messes up, the stacked vocals will sound messed up too.
