- Derby is the UK's most central city, which means it is easy to visit and experience the history and heritage, culture and shopping. Derby is easily accessible whether you are travelling by car, train or bus.
In a short summary we have had a walk trough the town and we have seen quite a lot of interesting places like, the town centre, the St Peter's Church, the cathedral, the Neptune Pub, the River Derwent where we have fed the ducks, and much more.
Hope you'll enjoy this video. If yes, please share, like, subscribe and dont forget to hit that bell :)

I want to visit. My great grandfather was born in Derbyshire and moved to USA as a baby. He served for England in WW2. I believe he came from a family of farmers.
And where was he born ???
Thanks for sharing with us a part of Derbyshire history. Cheers!
@@simonhill2797 i just found some more info. He was born in Shardlow in 1914 and moved to the US that same year. His parents were born in Brampton and Derby
Best thing to do in city of derby is go to sleep there's nothing else to do.
Are you the guy that sleeps in doorways ?
@@irenemorley75 no I'm the guy who walks around with his eyes open.
Well, obviously, we haven't visited Darby just for a nap :) The city is ok for us and worth to be visited. Cheers!

Hi I don't know if you will pick this up after a year but you seemed to be interested in the Cathedral's architecture, its size and shape etc. It is one of the smallest Cathedrals but it was never mean to be it was originally built as a parish church starting in 943. It was neglected over the centuries and in the 18th Century it was rebuilt incorporating some of the original building, so its a bit of a mixture. Derby was a town until 1977 and it became a Cathedral in 1927. It is also locally famous for a pair of Peregrine falcon that nest and breed every year on its tower.
Familiarity breeds contempt as the old adage says, Derby looks much better on film than in reality and I can say that as I live there.😥
When we visited Derby, nothing unusual was seen :) now, of course, by looking at the comments, makes us curious to film other things next time we'll be there 😁
Im Derby born n bred SUPER DERBY 👍
Best thing about Derby is 15miles from the Notts shit hole
Lol 😂 I do like your optimism :)
I actually bought the bike i wanted to look at from them over the internet, on the day we went to the Shop, they had no stock online, but a few days later they emailed me to say they had one in stock 😃👍
Meaning that they've changed their mind completely closing the shop? :)
@@RoadForksOffbeat yes, they are closing all shops (apart from London store) and going online, so I’m £750 better off 😃
I live Derby and I hate it, they don't even have a reasonable fish and chips! The only good thing is the Brunswick pub
Thanks for watching the video. Noted now, we'll go to Brunswick pub as well but next time when we'll be in Derby.
you tried George’s Tradition? My favourite and I’m Cornish
I lived next door to the Brunswick, the railway terraces.👌👍👍👍
I love Darby
😍
Indeed, it's a quite interesting town to be visited. Hopefully, soon we'll film again there.
@@RoadForksOffbeat It is very interesting, most haunted place in the UK.
Try and avoid the rubbish that the council allows to gather
Thanks for the reply and of course for watching the video. To be honest with you, when we visited Derby, we haven't seen littering, but this was a couple of months ago..
What rubbish ?
Ya missed all the good bits !!??😮😮
Yeah, post probably. And which are the good bits? :)
Best thing to do in derby is leave on the next available train
I like your optimism :)
@RoadForksOffbeat born and bred in derby leaving was the best thing I've ever done went back few months ago visiting family and was shocked on how it's become a tip.
Good to know. I see here that a lot of people are against what's happening now in Derby. I wonder what's the main reason 🤔..
