I haven't seen anyone recommend this so I wanted to give you a little bit of packing advice from an elder college student: since you have a box limit for Yale storage and are traveling internationally to get back and forth to the college, you might want to look into purchasing some vacuum seal/compression bags to help you pack your things up. You can find multi-packs of them on Amazon pretty easily, and they aren't terribly expensive. Look for the ones that include a hand pump so that even when you don't have access to a vacuum cleaner you can still utilize them. I'm sure you can find some super 90s infomercials here on YT that explain how to use them if you're unfamiliar, but they're especially helpful for bulky items like winter apparel and bedding, and they're reusable. Hopefully that will help you save some space in both your suitcases and in your storage boxes next semester!
I used these since I live like 8 hours from my school and could only do one trip and sometimes I fly too!! I even found them at my local dollar store! Especially great for pillow and bedding

Well from what I can remember Rory (the main character) live in Durfee Hall at her freshman year, she lived at Branford College a season later. Not everything was filmed at Yale, but you can see some shots from the outside of the buildings. Rory starts college at the beginning of season 4 and some of the scenario in the show are inspired by placea like the Grace Hopper dining hall and in a episode you can see the outside of the Phelps Hall. Hope this helps you 💙

Since I found your channel you’ve inspired me kind of I guess to apply to US uni’s as an Australian and I’m actually in the process of starting my application now. Anyway I was wondering how you worked out a grade point average in your application cause I’ve found the US gpa calculators but I don’t think I’m doing it right. I’ve been looking up average gpa’s and things and mine is lower than it should be I think because my schools averages sit a bit below a US average mark. Anyway I was just wondering if you could explain what you did for me if you see this and have time cause I’m sure there are lots of family reunions at the moment. Thanks again and congratulations on finishing your freshman year!

Are all students supposed to do that and can’t keep living there during holidays or summer breaks? Are you switching university? Are there 0 available dorms for the next university year so you need to move out or what? I want to know because it will help me understand better in the future when I actually start university

How do dorm rooms get cleaned during semester? Do students clean their rooms or is there like a housekeeping? Xx
housekeeping cleans our bathrooms and the staircases, hallways, etc. but we have to clean our own common rooms and dorm rooms x
