Great job, and that's a super cool little creek. Lol "slaying by the dozen" mostly just has to do with finding the right stream that has a lot of fish in it. It certainly doesn't happen every time I'm out. Loved the look of that stream you were fishing, though. Those first two fish were definitely brook trout (not browns). Third and fourth were definitely rainbows. Fifth (small one) looked like a rainbow, but it was hard to get a good look at it. Sixth ("slimy little sucker") was a rainbow, as you said. Keep it up!
Funny how the UA-cam studio app is just notifying me of your 2 year old comments! 😂😂😂. Thanks dude. Yeah, crazy how they can live in a puddle if necessary
Do it. Get one. On Amazon that cheap Chinese rod… Search Chinese Tenkara rod... fluctuates between eight and $15. I got it when it was around 10 bucks I think. Then you spend another $10 or $15 on the Tenkara leader and tippet. So I’d say it’s about $25 out the door for the whole set up. Super easy and super fun for small creeks and small small rivers.
Bites or not, the views here are worth it. The area is one I'll have to eventually venture into. It's cool that you use a different style of fly fishing too.
Do it! Plenty of fish in that river and any other in the area. Check out my Yosemite video as well. The Tenkara fly fishing is my new fav way to fish. Tight lines!
No specific part really. Below Lodgepole Campground all the way up to Tokopah Falls. Fly fishing with dry flys is what I used the entire time. The river is going to be really low right now so it’s going to be tough to spin cast, however in deeper pools you can still do that of course.
tf this man just catching fish so easy with a little magic wand. i use a full on fishing rod and never catch anything T_T
😂😂😂

Glad you checked it out! Thank you! Still learning the fish. New to the trout game. Take care! ✌🏻
Nice miss that place
Its crazy how little water they need to thrive.

Nice stream fishing. Best time of the year for trout hunting in the Sierras. Tight lines. 👍🙏🎣⚒
Just learning that this time of year seems best. Used to always go in Spring. Next up... Upper Kern River.

Tenkara rhymes with Tara
I’m going up there Saturday a I was wondering what part was in where you where fishing ? And what bait ?
