Just goes to show you how proud Finns are of their country. I couldnt imagine any other country celebrating like the finns! I wish i could feel that kind of pride for my own country with literally anything hahaha
Good stuff! 😃🙌
Patriotism is quite recneck in Finland. They just want to get attention and go crazy to become part of the meme.
But it’s also easy to identify with hockey when every other ten-year-old dude wanted to play as a mvp pro and win the World Championships and Stanley Cup every year.
Its just excuse to let it loose and go wild

Canadian in Finland, but Finland was just buzzzzing both before and after the game. Watch parties, seemingly the whole country tuned in, and even at the grocery store everyone seemed to be loading up with snacks and all.
Felt like Canada was dominating early in that game, but when the Finns got momentum... holy sh**.
"lol" Can you guess why the Finns got the momentum ? Canadian player gets a phantome penalty call for Finn player hitting himself with his very own stick giving Finns a 5 on 3 man advantage. The Finns scored , Caniadian goalie gets hurt on that goal fiinnishing the game with their third string goalie . The Finns scored again before that phantome penalty is over. Wow what a holy momentum help the Finns got. And for the finally to end the game after Canada fought back to tie the game through sheer determination, in overtime the Finns wins on what, oh on a powerplay.! Who are they celebrating for, the hockey team or the refs? .. holy sh** is absolutely right!
This IS like Vancouver 2010 Olympics and U20 Games 2019 at Vancouver ! Every Household & Bars had Their TV on to watch The Games !
@@steveray7770 Canada wouldn't have even been in the final if it wasn't for phantom calls for them 🤣 Grow up man
Finns are close to each other as never before. The Finnish social distance comes to zero only when Finland wins gold in ice hockey :)) Congrats Suomi!
True!
As a Canadian, the only countries that don’t hurt when they beat us in hockey are Finland and Sweden. Congratulations on a great win!
Good stuff! 😃🙌
Aleksi, almost all of the Finnish Long Drink packs were sold out from the store I work at. There are a lot of hockey fans in Toledo, OH USA. Perhaps many of them were cheering for Finland and enjoying a Long Drink, too. I am very happy for Finland as well. Congratulations!
Good stuff! 😃🙌
Congratulations from Canada. We love that you eat-work-play-and-dream hockey.
Thank you! 😃
Merci - We Are like The French Canadiens - at Montreal !
Congratulations to Finland!👏🎇
🎉
😂😂😂 "no signs of personal space or shyness tonight". . . or shirts😎
Right!!
Seems that underwear isn't that important either.
Finns just need a good reason to show their warmth and enthusiasm. Viva!
Good stuff! 😃🙌
This IS like Argentiina Won - 1978 - Football World Cup - Kempes and young Maradona !
As a Finn, but having traveled a lot, I always wonder about one thing: Why is hockey the only thing Finns take to the streets (including climbing road signs) 🤔 ?
Do You How BIG Countries are Canada & Russia ? When You Have Fans - at Different Time Zones - They Are Not living The same " reality " ! This IS like wake up to watch NHL Colorado play vs Tampa Bay - in The middle of Night !
Lovely crowd. 😆
😆😆
So much for the ant-social Finns!! LOL! And NO peeing in the fountain!
Good stuff! 😃🙌
Police was watching The celebration - at Havis Amanda - and Nobody peed - while They were there ! Some Go to swing at that water !
I don't know why but this action in the fountain a bit reminds me of the Friends intro 😀
Good stuff! 😃🙌
Thanks to Stockholm 1995 - Everybody was so Happy - that They had to share with someone - after two weeks of playing !
CONGRATS dear Finland. 😊
🎉
Happy times! Congratulations!
🎉
Hyvaa Suomi! This party awesome! Absolutely deserved the gold medal! Kiitos Leijonat
Good stuff! 😃🙌
Oh you survive last night 😁
Easy!
Congrats Suomi!
Thanks!
Marina from Dating Beyond Borders just wrote a book called, "A Guide to Dating in Scandinavia".
The book is on Amazon UK or Germany.
I hope that you can do a review on her book, because you know a lot about dating in Finland. Thank you Aleksi!
I know about the book and I'm planning to get it!
Yes - a Nice One ! More You know about SPORTS on Finland - easier IT IS ! If You Can talk about SPORTS in General - IS Good ! If You know all Time - Matti Nykänen - Paavo Nurmi - Teemu Selanne ! If You know - The NATIONAL Sport of Finland - BETTER IT Even Gets !
Damn even a Naked man climbed up the stature
someone did that in 2019 too :D
Basic stuff!
Santa Claus - has HOLIDAY too !
Congrats Finland!
Thanks!
Cool 😁👍
Good stuff! 😃🙌
It wouldn't be the same with golf or curling. Finns love the hardcore blood splatter and bruises of ice hockey.
Yep!
Suomi! Suomi! Suomi! Suomi! Suomi! Suomi! Suomi! Suomi!
Good stuff! 😃🙌
Suomi ❤❤❤❤

Apparently one of my friends was in this vid
Say greetings!
r they really finns?
they seem to have been swapped with Brazillians*
I wonder if Finns would do this when Käärijä wins Eurovision this year lol
I think they will lol.
🤔...... And some random guy on UA-cam called Aleksi was spreading misinformation that Finns are introvert 😂
Welcome to sauna - talk to You later !

@@AleksiHimself This IS based to that many say that - They Dont talk in Finland - trying to say that They just Dont know finnish / suomi Good enought - to Have any kind of conversation ! Many say that Moi - mitä kuuluu... takes several years to reply !

I’m American. Finland is literally the first country I’d ask for asylum if trump gets elected again. Your language is hard to learn, for English speakers (I’ve tried)
It's hard but not impossible!
Although I am actually wondering why Finns are look so overproud (too overprouder than other countries) of Finland's Victory's news, this video is really unique
Not overproud, just proud. This is the fourth time winning gold, and we are a country of 5,6 million people vs countries like Canada with ca. 40 or the US with 330 million people. There is a reason for this celebration.
I think all country in the world gonna crazy like this too, Proud of all , Onnea Leijonati🇫🇮 Hyvāä työtā👏🥳🥳
I only wondering. Because not like in my country when it gets the winner many times, but nobody do big celebrate till several days like in Finland
@@romyardianto5723 yes i understand what the point, basicly Suomi sama like my country Indonesia🇮🇩
@@Ferlitasari7 Hah, masa sih. Di Indo perasaan ga heboh banget lho kalau pas ada perlombaan terus menang kayak gt (kecuali suporter yang memang bener" tahu soal kompetisi olahraga ya). Bersorak kemenangan iya, tapi ga sampai pesta" berhari-hari. Dari beberapa hari yang lalu lho. Ini Finlandia mah aku kaget aja kok heboh banget gt kayak satu kota bahkan satu negara kayak gt (kebanyakan tapi ga semua)
Why the celebration ? Who are they celebrating for ? The hockey team or the refs?
Maybe there celebrating the rightful championship Finland deserved from 94 that was was stolen from us from us by refs and given to Canada
Karma is a bitch
Have You any IDEA - How BIG IS CANADA ? They Are almost like Russia ! This like TORONTO would WIN - STANLEY CUP ! They Have Players Even from Arizona - an Canadien NHL Team !
I have noticed the Finns are all out celebrating the Referees Championships !
Are You from Canada ? The REFS were from Sweden !
@@holoholopainen1627 Does it really matter? The end result is the same, may it be other teams playing on that very ice, that kind of calls should never happen in an IHF Final of a World series. I am not upset at the Finns here or blame them for the bad call. Although I am let it be known this winning was not without controvercial call(s). That one no high stick call turned the whole game at that particular critical time of a very important game. It is very possible the Finns were the very best team on that ice in that game, but now we can never know, won't we !
@@steveray7770 You Are always so busy with NHL - that There is - No Time to send Players to Olympics & WC of Hockey ? Hockey IS a Team Sport - so If someone Cant play or come - IT IS Up to HIM ! These Games Are on TV - 14 European Countries - with 14 language TV CREWS - in EUROPE ONLY ! You May see The same game with All Part taking 14 languages - with several hundred working Staff ! Even England has Games on TV - as IHUKTV - on UA-cam !
@@steveray7770 you say you don't blame Finns for bad calls of the refs, yet you are kinda quilt-tripping them for celebrating the victory. The refs were bad, but I believe you see it somewhat through mapple leaf tinted glasses. The phantom penalty came 2 seconds after the referee could have given 2min for slashing. Then there was several other plays where refs could (or even should) have given a minor penalty for CAN, but they didn't.
You did not bring up that some NHL'ers are not there: but the Finns would also love to see their own best players in these tournaments, even if it reduced their changes little bit against some of the big 6 countries. It's not Finnish fans' fault that IIHF and NHL can't come up with schedules that works for both. And I am old enough to remember Nagano Olympics. Canadians were sure that it will be CAN-USA final, but then their NHL-stars (not everyone) ended up trashing their hotel rooms after every medal went to Europe.
And btw, it's IIHF not IHF, and World Championships not World series.
Planet of apes...nounou sorry for the apes, they are most intelligent than our finland hockeypeople...thanks for the sick media.
I don't follow ice hockey, it just isn't one of my interests. So I don't really understand the hype that well. But of course it's great that Finland won and I'm very proud of the professional hockey players and my home country. But still, I find it disrespectful to climb in that Havis Amanda statue and on the rooftops. I mean, of course you can celebrate. But this crazyness is, in my opinion, a little too much. You should still behave and make sure to be safe - and being drunk and climbing anywhere is definitely not that safe. Poor Havis Amanda. (Call me flowerhat aunt, if you like).
But, I still need to emphasize: I'm very proud of Finland. It's fabulous that these happy things still happen (with the world situation being what it is and all that s*it).
Flowerhat aunt
fake fin
I totally agree with you!
idk I kinda get the rooftop parts of what you mean. And I get what you mean overall as well. But one of the arguments aÍ have heard is that this kinda gives more to the statues themselves. Like, typically they're just standing there and nobody, apart from a VERY few people who appreciate the art of smt.
This kind of gives the statues more value to an average person, not interested in statues because the statues became a landmark where people gather to celebrate. It provides more overall meaning to it. As it pretty much helps to unite the people celebrating etc.
so yeah, I get where you're coming from, but I personally like more the idea where the statue unites the people celebrating, rather than it just standing there away from everything.
City Should Have Done this years ago ! Do You know The Trophy - Kanada Malja - has an copy -. that You May take to sauna ! One anonymious Team too The Malja to sauna - without thinking of The... after The Players Assosiaatio Said that - They Have to Have a Copy of The Malja ! They Should just Make a copy of Havis Amanda !
Canada has a 1 - 0 lead. One minute into the third Canada gets a two- minute penalty. With five seconds left to kill Canada takes another penalty to go two men down. Canada kills off the first penalty and a minute later takes the phantom high stick penalty to go two men down yet again.
The Finns score on the two-man advantage and Canada's goalie is injured. On comes a third string goalie in a short-handed situation who gets scored on right away. In less than 30 seconds Finland scores two and Canada loses its goalie all because of outright cheating or gross incompetence.
The two minute penalty Canada took in overtime after the Finnish dive could have been corrected by giving the Finn who dove a penalty for pulling down the Canadian chasing the puck. Instead the Finns got to get possession and enjoyed a brief advantage.
The lost cost Canada the IIHF #1 ranking only making the charade even more costly.
There is a reason North Americans ignore the IIHF world championships. It's a fix.
Oh honey...
Were you ignoring your second goal too and did you ignore the penalty you didn't receive
Or did ignore the IIHF in 94 when Finland was playing Canada then Kurri gets tripped no penalty game keeps going Canada scores right after and then wins on a shoot out taking an unfair win and a championship from Finland
I think the real reason you claim to ignore it even though your whining about it on a video of Finland celebrating is because karma is a bitch
Canada was the stronger team. They had series of misfortune in this game, with the penalties. They probably would have won otherwise. It's crazy how good you guys are. But the moment the winning goal went in I was exhilarated, can't not be happy for my little country. Greeting from Finland!
@@thesilentshopper And Canada had one returning player from the team that won gold last year. That's how deep they are. I love the Finn's game but I hate when horrible refereeing determines the outcome of a game.
@@gamerguy6665 You saw what I saw. Canada was by far the better team. Finland won thanks to the refs -either by design or gross incompetence.
It's great that Finland won, but a lot of this behavior is stupid and irresponsible

Good thing you Finns don't have many players in the NHL playoffs :p All of the best Canadian players are making millions in the NHL and ignore your competition. We call this the 'international amateur league' in Canada
Losers will often ignore the facts, yeah.
So much saltiness.. We Finns are just so proud of our country and when that pride meets ice hockey we go crazy. And I bet Canadians won't celebrate NHL wins or any wins like us finns celebrate our national team victory.
Loser's talk😅
When was the last time a Canadian NHL team won the Stanley Cup? Amateurs indeed!
When u play hockey for your country and not for the Money, that is in my opinion the Most honorble thing an athlete can do, in nhl u play hockey for the fans and money but not your country.
Especially when the African blackness is cheering for us
Not sure what that means.
