Super thorough demo and review of this camera. Our Voyager camera is waterlogged and has an image that’s 💯 fog. This looks like a great option for a replacement on our Airstream. Thanks for the demo!
Well put together it was such a good job comparing the two side by side. Overall the new one does look like an improvement the touchscreen can be so easy and the fact that you get more options and a better view. Make sure to do a follow up. You guys are great at reviewing products!! Great video!
Thank you for your video. I am just five minutes in and you’ve already answered a question that has saved me a lot of aggravation.! so happy to have the side-by-side comparison. I almost purchased from Amazon the wrong version. I want to touch couldn’t figure out what the price difference was and now I know. Thanks again for the side-by-side comparison of the screen.!
We really like our Haloview. Like you mentioned - we never had one before and never thought we needed it. But now that we have it, it is really nice. I do wonder why they did away with the sun shield.
We did not think we needed it either. And I would say it’s. It needed but definitely adds safety. I guess you could say the same for TPMS but won’t tow a rig without them.
We have talked about getting something like this but just haven't taken the step yet. It would be nice to se the bikes on the back of the rig. Thanks for the review!
Hi Ken and Pam! Great review on this camera. I heard Pam pretty good on it. Not a bad device. Glad you like both cameras. Are using the one you just reviewed or the other you had hooked up? I would this Halo too! It’s not hard to hook up it looks like. Looks good to me. You’re right it’s good to see if someone it you from behind. You’ll have all the evidence you need right there. Thank you for the review and I hope you have a great weekend and week.
Thanks Sherri. It did seem to sound better than the other. This install was easier since the camera was already there from our previous install. We will use this touch model going forward.
I have an older model 2021 i think i ordered a lis plate camera took the mounting bracket, modified it and put on hood latch. Resssed about 4 in. Put a switch on it now i use it all the time when driving in record mode. Its a better camera than the rear camera om trailer. They are both wireless.
Liked the review...thanks Are you able to say how much the discount is ? I really like the multi camera functions...we are looking at that stuff now...we are remodeling & designing our truck....thanks again😊😊
Hello! I just ran across your channel and really enjoy your videos. We're planning on purchasing a Paradigm 310RL this fall, for the same reasons that you did. We want the smaller size (if you can call it that), but with features like 3 A/C's. I bought the cheaper Haloview (MC5111 5'' 720P) and I'm super disappointed with it. I wish that I had taken the time to give it a good road test before my Amazon return window closed. We finally took a 1k mile road trip and it was basically useless. The image was frozen most of the time and had horrible latency the rest of the time. This was on the back of a 30' TT. I messed with the antennas, etc. and never got it to cooperate. I emailed Haloview, but they never replied. I'm considering upgrading to the BT7, but I'm a bit ticked at Haloview at the moment... Anyway, keep up the great content!
That’s awesome on the 310Rl. We have really enjoyed ours. On the Haloview that’s a shame. The BT7 has worked great. If you send me your email I will reach out to them as an affiliate and see what they might do to help you. Thanks for the compliment and commenting.
Nice informative video. Speaking of seeing behind you, what and why do you have steamer or humidifier on the counter? Besides Captain Obvious, all I hear and read is get a de-humidifier for your trailer. What am I missing? Thanks and Rock On RoadSmiths!!
Hey guys, the backup camera is a must, but when we're driving, we love having the side cameras for our blind spots, too. Wonder if Halo would be willing to give ya'll a couple to review!
Interesting question. Are they Haloview Cameras or another brand? If another brand or even from another Haloview system, just not sure they would work. I guess thats a question for Haloview.
I drove a truck for 20 years and had no cameras you don't need all this crap. Everyone has been fooled you need this and you need that it's all bull shit save your money and invest it. You don't need limited King Ranches etc
There are many things in RVing that you don’t “need” but add to the safety factor. Things like Tire Pressure monitoring systems, or safety cones etc.. We went 2 years without an observation camera but now that we have one we find it very useful. Do we need it? No. Does it add to the safety factor? Yes in our opinion. Remember in a truck if you make a mistake and side swipe someone you don’t lose your home. We as full time/most timers RVs would lose our home and belongings. Just a different perspective. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Like I said I had none of this crap, my tire monitor was my eyes, and my foot. Cams were not needed no accidents and never blew a tire never had someone to back me up either and I back into places with a 45-50 trailer that you would just leave all I ever needed was clean mirrors. It's called being a professional. I still pull a 35.6' TT and have so for 12 years no TPMS NO CAMERA again no issues. You Don't Need This Crap. You just need to learn how to DRIVE when I stop I look at my tires use my hand and feel for nails etc and use my ears. I don't know what you did for a living but it couldn't have been a truck driver/owner-operator.
We all have our own opinions on this. As I said we never said you NEED these items but they contribute to safety. Now on the TPMS, I would argue strongly as being very very important. Excessive heat will destroy and potentially blow up a tire and a slow unknowing leak can cause that. We have seen the damage a blown tire can do to the side of an RV and thats is not worth the risk. How would you know without stopping and listening testing etc. No I was not a truck driver owner but know that I want every bit of safety that is practical.
@@TheRoadSMITHS well said sir, when I was younger we didn’t have seatbelts do I use one now ABSOLUTELY 👍 Do I use a camera ABSOLUTELY 👍 do I use a TPMS ABSOLUTELY 👍 Great channel RoadSmiths Hope to see you at a campground one day.Bob

It’s definitely worth having and a great option. Thanks.
We really don't like our backup camera. It is too low on our dash to be useful. Nice review. Lynn and Danny
Thanks. I guess that’s the downside of it being in the dash of the rig. Hope you guys are well.
The touchscreen is a nice upgrade! And yes we want to touch it! 😂
Haha. We really do like this one better. It’s so touchable. 😄
A perfect update, I think this is what I needed. Such a great video, thank you.
Thank you we do like this version of the screen better.

Thanks so much. Definitely easier to use than the non touch model.
Nice
Thanks so much!! Safe travels to you!

Code isn't working anymore?
We really like our Haloview. Like you mentioned - we never had one before and never thought we needed it. But now that we have it, it is really nice. I do wonder why they did away with the sun shield.
Yeah same with us. Good to have now. Not sure why they did away with the shield. This screen does appear brighter though.
So cool. We need something like this.
We did not think we needed it either. And I would say it’s. It needed but definitely adds safety. I guess you could say the same for TPMS but won’t tow a rig without them.
Having a touch screen would definitely be nice at times that's for sure.😊
Definitely an improvement over the non touch screen.

This one is an improvement on the previous model. We did not think we needed one for 2 years but glad we added it.

Thanks guys. Pam likes using an essential oil diffuser so yes adds some humidity but smells awesome!
@@TheRoadSMITHS aaahhh, got it. Thanks for sharing.

We do not have the side view ones but might consider those as well. I am sure that makes it even safer.
So how does one get just the monitor. I already have 4 1080p cameras (including side cameras). I don't need more.
Interesting question. Are they Haloview Cameras or another brand? If another brand or even from another Haloview system, just not sure they would work. I guess thats a question for Haloview.
