FISHING FOR THE BIGGEST SMALLMOUTH BASS IN THE WORLD - St. Lawrence River, New York

Ask anyone in the country for a list of the top smallmouth bass fisheries in the world and the St. Lawrence River is bound to be mentioned. This place consistently yields bags 25 pounds and very occasionally, more. I’ve always wanted to fish there, since smallmouth bass are one of my favorite fish to target. Fortunately, I recently got an opportunity to spend a couple days in northern New York targeting some of the biggest football smallies I’ve ever seen. Enjoy :)

Nice video. Do you mind me asking what part of the river you fished. I never fished the river and am planning a trip this summer. Do you recommend making the trip? How many fish per day? Thanks

Hi! We fished out of Clayton, NY and I absolutely recommend going. The fishing was pretty tough when we went because it was the peak of the summer and the fish were deep and finicky, but we still caught 10-20 fish a day, with multiple 4,5, and 6 pound fish so it was a blast.
