An ode to a music legacy
Bandish Hub is an initiative by Flute Sisters - Suchismita and Debopriya Chatterjee to create, present and conserve the music legacy of their musicologist father Shri Robin Chatterjee, who is also a well renowned ‘vaggeykar’, one who can write lyrics as well as set them to tune. He has written many compositions or ‘Bandish’ which have been published in the book series called ‘Sur Vani’ and ‘Sur Pravin’. He has been honoured with 'Sangeet Natak Akademi Sanman' for writing more than thousand ‘Bandishes’.
Born in a family of Indian classical vocalists, the sisters have grown up listening to their parents doing ‘riyaz’ and teaching music. Music was the language they spoke at home. ‘Baba’ and ‘Ma’, Smt. Krishna Chatterjee, are solely responsible to keep the musical souls alive through Moorchhana School of Music.
Later on, they took up classical flute and gave it their all for over two decades. The flow of the flute took them to different places worldwide.
Rich in content and context, the lilting tunes and the fragrance of his ‘Bandish’ lingered in their hearts. They wondered that as daughters what could they do to preserve this wonderful treasure, give it a new lease of life and also share it with the world. As a tribute to his legacy, the sisters would be singing his Bandishes in the beginning which will be available to music connoisseurs on various social media platform. With no rigid plan in place, here they are with you to enjoy, explore, embellish and live a legacy of family.

Your guruji's voice is so soulful. The Bandish he sings is really so deep.
And also Debopriya mam make tutorial for bansuri tantkari technique. I play bansuri and I also sing. I am having problem when doing jhala part.
