Great video bro. It's interesting to watch the workflow behind fire beats. Love videos of people discussing this device
Thanks! 🙏
You're using Stopper as a busfx to mute the drums and bass instead of going through mute mode and taking out every individual pad? GENIUS!
I'll definitely be trying that one out! It's gonna help me a lot with figuring my own workflow out. Hasn't been smooth sailing as a first timer with an SP-device coming from the Elektron workflow, but this gem will for sure open the flow up. Thanks!
That's right. I should've explained that my stopper effect is actually customized to be on my resonator button, because I almost never use the resonator. And yeah in this method bus 1 is for mutes, bus 2 is for applying FX to the whole track 🙏
@@foliagebeats Pure genius!
Man, I can't believe how long it took me to find this video. Thank you for finally explaining areas that I wasn't able to find elsewhere!
I really love your performances with the 404! Such skill!!! Would you ever consider doing a breakdown of one of your performances/a single song describing what you’re doing?
Solid workflow. I bounce back and forth between sampling individual notes and just using chromatic mode. Chromatic works really well for sampled chords, it just gives it that extra gritty feel.
I definitely gotta experiment more with the chromatic mode
Glad your content is doing good i miss the minimal desk and the couple of plants! Good stuff keep it up
Dope workflow tutorial Foliage!
Thanks G
I love the speed you went throug this just using it so natural
Thanks for sharing your approach! That synth riff is super tasty 🔥🔥🔥
I love this workflow
Thanks homie
Very dope
🙏🙏
Another way of getting all those notes in is to play them in with the metronome going, and auto chop them and fine tune the chops, that's what I do sometimes.
If you had an external sequencer, you could use that too and they'd be more on the grid!
love your music, and everything you've been putting out on here on youtube.
also, you could seriously release these as starter packs...maybe with a "bring your own drums"
That's a really good idea
idk if you have tried this but instead of record your synth to each pad, you can make a single recording, and then lazy chop that clip using the level or transient setting. then you can put in a mute group or whatever you desire
Learned a lot! So sick, thanks for sharing 🔥
more of such workflow explaining videos is good and useful!
great video. nice look on the sp too
Shweeet flow bro
Dope video

Playing the synth vertically is crazy work! 🙌🏾

Sickkkkkkk
🙏🙏

will get my sp404 mk2 in 1.5 weeks, thank for inspiration and tips) looking all video on youtube for last 4 days , made a list of shotcuts, looked all tutorials ahahah i do create music, but with other devices analog+vst, now want to go to sampling + analog
if u wanna to do some feat on hmu)
When you're finding these samples in the wild, are you recording them with effects? Which ones do you use?
Like for drum samples? Just support your favorite actual drummer who has a homemade recording pack available to purchase
Ohhhh that’s what you meant. I’m all for that. I thought you meant like off UA-cam
