I guess still there was something wrong with the deck performance! The song was dull even after adjusting the head! The deck mechanism was one of the top notc as that era and still need a lot of respect to get the most of it! Besides there were a lot of cap to test if they are still with the exact value to deliver the perfect harmony. Lot of respect for your efforts! Well done.👍

Cassette deck not working, when press play on both directions Cassette not turning and magnetic head not lifted completely. A lso tunner sound not clear.. No specialized workshop in my place. Pl. can you advise absolution. I live at Basrah/Iraq. BEST REGARDS...

Amazing all the transformation we have gone through changing all those mechanical parts to digital, the Tape recorder there is an example of fine mechanics and a blend with electronics, the moving tape was actually the Memory of the whole system, ironically speaking not so long ago, I do really hope to see more advancements and revolutions over the next years before I say good bye to this world. Quite a great amount of pieces were dedicated to the fine and accurate transport and movement of the tape through the whole mechanism to be read by the play back and recording head

For the future would help to use paint stripper or sandblasting to remove the old pain from the case and some rust inhibitor as it’s cheap en effective. Otherwise I see improvements in the quality pf the videos. Keep up the good job!

Sony is good quality music system. It's 3 years warranty period and offer CBS/HMV audio cassettes but Philips music system is 6 months warranty period and offer T Series cassette
I have one too! The speakers stopped working so I found a cold solder joint. Resoldering fixed the issue. Can't find the isssue thats making the volume buttons increase in weird patterns.
Amazing I love the Sony FH range, I had an FH7 Mk3 in the 1980s and I have just purchased an FH11 on Ebay to restore

19:56 Speed alignment must be done with a calibrated test tone tape and an oscilloscope to check the frequency. Not just by hearing.
