Egypt quickly became one of our favorite places we have ever visited and would love to return again someday. Hi. Love your video. Siwa looks amazing! I am planning a retreat to Egypt and am curious if you had to get permits to film and if you did how did you go about securing them. Would be grateful for your advice. Thanks for sharing your experiences…
Thanks, John! Since we were not filming commercially, we did not need to get permits. But hey are pretty strict on certain rules. We actually shipped our drone to our next destination since that was not allowed in Egypt, and even having our tripods created a little bit a of delay. Knowing even a few words in Arabic was helpful and officials were stern but still kind about it. I think permits depending on how much equipment you have. Have a great time!
