- Today's video definitely puts the 'adventure' in 'food adventure', I'm exploring the beautiful city of Yangshuo by BIKE and eating a lot of yummy things along the way.

It was an honor to be a part of this masterpiece and glad this bike ride went a lot smoother than your previous one 😜 now that I’m back in China hope we can go biking together soon😍🚲
Plz do!!!
wow...two of my favorite China UA-camrs collaborating together! Can't wait to see those videos!
你们两个长得还真像
哈哈,that would be the pefect combination.
@@AmelieZh it is so weird we oversea Chinese have much harder experience to visit our mother, father and grandparents.... etc.
The ladies making the bamboo rice was so kind. I wish her very good business!
The attitude of the bamboo rice lady is so warm, when she smiles and says "come here again", that was just like the auntie nextdoor talking to the 5-year-old me, so friendly and sweet~
it's like playing a fantasy video game, visiting a village to buy some unique food and stuffs. play some fantasy music.
OMG! My favourite 2 channels' girls just did a collab! Heavens treating me well today!

Great. Love the bamboo rice.
Well done Amy🎉, i too rode on those paths. It was very beautiful no question. I stayed at two different trips in the town of Xingping. Also floated on the bamboo rafts down the Lijiang river for photos. Hired a cormorant fisherman to pose for photos 📷.
Amazing scenery you have shown us. Thank you so much 😀😀😀😀🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
the glutinous rice dish was amazing, all natural, can't find this in the city no more. taking advice from Katherine on bike tour was a very good idea
It looked really tasty, and the scraping out of the bamboo proved it was tasty.
I love your life. You never cease to amaze me. I appreciate your hard work. Keep it up.
Unbelievable! The bamboo dish really made drool
Thank for sharing this wonderful video of Yangshuo!!
Wow this was an impressive journey! Biking in the countryside alone, while balancing filming and I'm sure exhaustion... totally worth it! This might be my favorite video so far. What a beautiful adventure!
1. Near Guilin there’s Longji rice terrace, which resides in villages with some tribal culture. That bamboo rice looks tribal influenced, you may get more dishes like that towards Longji
2. Electronic bike might be a good option for touring, speed up easily to dodge in busy traffic, saves your energy for when you’re figuring out the best route 😆
Very well done, Amy!! So proud of you cycling >20 km in a day and sharing the beautiful mountainous rural view of Yangshuo with us!👏 The bamboo rice looks very yummy, too! Well earned!👍 Btw, should you had cycled back to the city centre, I'd double-pressed the thumbs-up button!🤪
Thanks Amy for taking us to Yongshou. The mountain scenery was majestic. It was also eerily like being transported back in time to one of the ancient dynasties. Glad you were safe during your bike ride.
For a first ride in years you did well. You were using muscles that you hadn't used in years. Steamed rice, River Snails, & snacks under Moon Hill was wonderful. Glad you took the bike back by car. It really was money well spent. Thanks for sharing your adventures. There is nothing anywhere near that beauty here in Minnesota in the USA. Bless you for your adventures.
What an enjoyable Amy’s Journey to the East biking video. It definitely had some Katherine vibes in it. Maybe we’ll see you return the advice and appear in Katherine’s video telling her where to find the best eateries! :D
Wow, beautiful landscape. thank you for sharing.
I remember riding a bike around Yangshuo and it was the first time i had ridden a bike in 30 years. When I got back to where I lived , Pingsha, Zhuhai i started riding them more often. It was relaxing.
Looks like Guilin We stayed there. Seven sisters park A beautiful Night trip on the River to the two Pagodas.
This girl is so talented for making tourist videos. I am attracted by what her had created.
That's because she is so natural in front of camera and seems to have little to no pretension. She shares her life, thoughts, friends and hopes openly and enthusiastically, and tries to keep them real! There are so many food channels that appear staged with over the top reactions
Great video... One of my favorite destinations for scenery and meditation.
I can tell you put your heart and soul in your content. Love it so much!
biking hiking whole day long you'll have a great nite sleep just like first day of skiing...great video love the way you say sausage in cantonese so perfect!
Enjoyed this very much. Katherine is definitely the queen of bike tours in China. She is very resourceful. Never been to Yangshou. Oli Barrett did a video from there when he attended a Mandarin school there sometime ago. As a traveller myself, I understand and agree that it can be very physically demanding when one tries to see places within short amount of time.
You are amazing Amy! Stranger in a foreign land and cycling more than 5 hours + hiking ! Very brave and adventurous
The mountains in your picture remind me of the scenes from Mulan. Good to see you enjoy some authentic local dishes!
No doubt about it ... this is my new favorite of all the journeys you've travelled through China. Above all, you did it all by your adventurous self (kind of ... with some of Katherine's input). Anyhow at the end I think you accomplished more ... Katherine always travelled with her local companion husband and never travelled alone. I agreed ... you should be proud of yourself.
Beautiful! I have been there with my wife, visited the caves around the area, exiting! Nice video, I hope I can visit China soon, looonging for this!
This looks so extremely delicious omgggggg
Omg!! Im so proud for this accomplishment that you have made Amy! Facing your own fears led you to those beautiful sceneries of Yangshuo! I'm so happy that you took us with you during your ride. As your long time fan, I'm very very proud! This video also inspired me to also to push my self in doing the things im afraid before! Love you Amy!
Also had it on my visit to Yangshuo and I would definitely just go back because of it 🤩 Sooo good!
As someone who's never learned to ride a bike, I'm beyond impressed with your effort in this video!!
two of my favorites doing a video together. What a surprise 👍
There is a much higher maintain which needs some climbing on almost vertical ladder in the final stage, where you can feel the others are under you(一览众山小). I don't recall the name.
Wow! You blazed the trail for me, Amy! I will be there biking the same route in one week! I would love to get access to Katherine’s bike route! How can I?
I think this may be my favorite of all your videos (except the ones with your dad-those are classic). Sweet and sassy and iron strong, all in a neat package like those bamboo tubes of sticky rice. 😊
I’m glad you threw money at the problem! I was getting nervous of how you were going to get home when it got dark.
Thanks!
Great work Amy~ Nice to see the amazing sceneries of Guilin/Yangshuo, and I admire your dedication to making great UA-cam videos for all your viewers
Tks for sharing.
Fabulous scenery, and very well done for conquering your fear and (literally) "getting back on your bike"! Thanks for making this and taking us along with you on your adventure
This to Blondie showing us with your adventure in biking with the rural district in China…. And the bamboo sticky rice making us mouth watering while you r eating them 😍😍😍.
Enjoy your trip and we will keep on checking out your new adventure 🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thanks for sharing. This is still on my to do list...
Yes!! Yangshuo is beautiful 😍
Both of my favorite Travel Vloggers! I do enjoy watching yours & Katherine's travel videos across China everytime I have the chance. Hoping to see both of u seeing each other in person & do a video together. ✨😍

So proud of you Amy and thank you for making this wonderful video.
Thanks for taking us on your journey and showing us those beautiful scenery!
Yay Amy, so great - I loved "I'm guessing you don't have this in your hometown" Nope, but I sure wish we did. Looks delicious!
No one else knows better than Katherine. And her tip on that map was the best. I have never seen that map before, it definately beats using google map.
It is Google Maps, you just need to change the setting to the satellite mode.
Yay new video!! always super excited when a new one shows up on my feed
多謝!
That bamboo rice dish looked so good. What a beautiful bike ride ❤
I love you know each other. Have learned so much about China from both of you. Very different things.
You have a great spirit and charm and are a joy to watch. I’m of Chinese descent but born and bred in North America. You are more Chinese than me and it’s great to learn about my cultural heritage through you!
Amy, you are the champ explorer. Love your channel.
This is beautiful!. Quite out of your comfort zone to do. But you did it! Bravo! Nice countryside sceneries. Happy that you have contact with Katherine. You two do look quite alike, like sisters in looks hehe...Hope one day you could do a collaboration, biking rural China and showing us all their wonders. That bamboo rice looks so yummy. Here in Malaysia, the Malays have a version of it called lemang. Delicious too, though just plain glutinous rice.
So brave, thanks for taking us along for the ride.
A great bike ride with the epic looking bamboo sticky rice meal!
Oh my God I couldn’t believe you found a sticky rice! I tried it once, and I loved it 😍 ❤
I traveled around Yangshuo with my mom by bike 15 years ago, we rode all day and the sun was hot and we both got sunburnt. Our skin even got peeled after coming back to hotel that night. You remind me of that interesting experience.
Glad to know your channel, very enjoy to watch your videos with your vibes.
another beautiful video!! thank you amy for bringing us with you in this beautiful ride
Well done Amy for conquering your fear of cycling. Looks like you have started to enjoy cycling again. Something to be proud of truly.
What a adventure of bicycling in the stunning rural path
Bamboo growth is fast 6 month to a year, thus no deforestation. And no bike theft as they execute criminals there.
Well done 👏🏼 Amy it was spectacular! You vlogs keep on cheering me up! I really want to visit China but for now I’m accepting this is the way to do it! Once it opens I will be sooooo ready 😅
Thank you 🙏🏼 and well done facing your fear and anxiety
Take care

welcome Soooooooo much ,after the pandemic is over.hope u enjoy the food, people and sceneries
You should definitely come! Yangshuo is beautiful 😍
My 2 favorite ladies ❤❤💕💕
Thank YOU for making this type of video!!!!❤ Bringing me into your adventure!! Especially now I won't be traveling much, my daughter is 12 months old only, hard to travel with her. Also, I'm so proud of you conquering your fear!!!!💪🏼🙌🏻 I can't never do that!!!
Excellent scenery it looks like something from postcards.
Today I learned that Amy and Katherine are friends! This makes me so happy. You two are so wholesome and positive, I always thought you would make great friends.
Thanks for taking us along on your adventure 😀.
Oh, Amy, I would not want to be you today. The whole body must be aching. As you have said, it looked like so worth it. I am so grateful to be able to see the Moon Hill without the hard work. Amy keep up your great work. Stay blessed 🙌
Beautiful scenery
When I went to moon hill there was an Ayi that told us you can hop the railing and climb on top of the arch! It was so cool
I can’t believe I didn’t try this! I’ll have to go back too. It looks delicious 🤤 好吃
Cheers 😂 brave & daring and at the same time determined to finish the task. 🎉 thanks
The crunchy snack is called Sachima, fried batter bound together with a stiff sugar syrup, and of an appearance somewhat similar to American Rice Krispies (but a lot better!). It is originally a Manchurian sweet snack.
Amazing city, one of the places I want to visit again and again.
Beautiful place! Love the mountain scenery! 👍🇬🇧
Love your video so much.....love your energy and always positive vibe
4:24 how cute this orange scooter is!😂
Beautiful video Amy. Thank you for your great effort to bring this to us. Nice to see Katherine also. You're both beautiful. Take care.
Waw that is so beautiful scenery ❤️
14:10 The spectacular view sent chills down my spine.... No kidding!
Wow, fantabulous!👍... Now I *soo* much wanna go there and do that too!!❤❤❤
Come! Yangshuo is full of beautiful sights and amazing food 😉
I am always so happy to watch your videos... well done, Blondie.
Very wonderful experience.
OMG, that scenery was stunning! Thanks for taking us along on that adventure....putting that on my bucket list to see one day! 😍
Yes!! Yangshuo is amazing 😍
You are diligent and prolific vlogger. Well deserved success.
My son and I went on a bike ride with friends in Yangshuo in 2009. The main road was scary then, so I can’t imagine now. We took a balloon ride just before they stopped offering them. Stunning!
I love your channel! After living in Shenzhen for 7 years, this really brings me back.
Since my son is still in China, you’re giving great ideas for a next trip.
Definitely beautiful… I have been to Yangshuo but stayed at the tourist zone all time and that was no doubt a mistake. Hopefully I could visit China next year and tour Yangshuo again.
Yangshuo has so many beautiful sights, it's definitely worth another visit 😉
@@OmeidaYangshuo Wow! I just realized that I mistyped Yangshuo. The stupid auto-correction.
@@lynnj7693 it is the thought that counts haha I'm just glad to know you had a good time in our city 🥰
That main road would not have fazed me. I have cycled down Park Lane in London during rush hour. 4 lanes of everything. No wonder they call it the Chicken Run.
Though if you aren’t used to traffic, it can be daunting. Well done for trying.
So glad you conquered a fear, and may the next ride go even smoother.
Oh my gosh! We ate at that restaurant where you ate the snails :). Definitely enjoyed riding the bike along the river. Too bad that it was not that clear when we were there because of the recent rain storm.
Blondie's journey to the east. Woo-hoo!
What an amazing day! The osmanthus cake that you had is so different from the kind that I'm familiar with, which is more like a jelly, with longan and goji berries.
Wow- amazing bike ride!
Ah, what a wonderful life for you Blondie!
for those who don't know what Osmanthus, in America, it's called Sweet olive. I believe it's the flower that is being used.
