Hi Chris, Pete from Alaska here. The trailer has been 100% trouble free and the splitter is awesome! The nastiest wood I get is no problem. Thanks for showing me all of this! I watch every day.
@@andrewviperpingel9565it’s a 98 we’ve had since brand new. It was the last 12 valve before they started getting 24’s. Still runs great and does everything. I just keep up with maintenance.

Good morning Chris , Today is Jan 21 and it’s 32 degrees today. Thanks for showing Pete’s Journey from Alaska, He brought the Eastonmade 5-11 to our yard here in Alaska to try out. We have a new best friend!! We made the same trip out to pick up our new processor in Canada, as Pete can tell you shipping to Alaska is very expensive. Stay warm from the Alaska wood yard.
thanks for the lesson. i enjoy them as i sometimes have problems identifying what i get around here or what i'm cutting down. important thing is that it all burns, just some burns better or hotter than others.
Chris...You were lucky to have a white Christmas! Haven't had one here on the east coast in I don't know how long. Something about snow at Christmas always made it even more special. Wonder what Canadian-made splitters and trailers will cost in a couple months? Now would definitely be the time to buy!
Hey brother! Super cool Pete got an N&N and an Eastonmade!!!! Both awesome pieces of equipment!!! We have so much salt on the roads out here I'd be afraid my trailer woukd rust away😂😂 one day ill get an N&N and not have to worry bout it. Stay warm man, thanks for everything 🤜🤛
Hi Chris , its mild and gloomy grey here very still. Supposed to be getting wild and windy on friday. My mates flown over to LA where its 70f at moment .
I like how you are one speed when it comes to work. You measure by how long it will take you to complete instead of how much work it will be. Love it. God bless.
Can’t beat N&N galvanized trailers or Thumb Trailers! I’m considering moving the other direction from my 6x12 inno series to a larger HD dump. Love my equipment trailer from Brad!
Enjoyed the story of the guy from Alaska driving to Michigan to get his trailer and then buying a wood splitter from Eastonmade and traveling 4800 miles, round trip. My thermometer says 22* here in Western Washington this morning, but no snow. Lost power for a couple hours yesterday but my generator kept us comfy. As always Chris, thanks for the videos. 😊
On the dump boxes on our dump trucks aluminum boxes for hauling sand and gravel and clean dirt the steel boxes were used for broken concrete dirt cause some have concrete in it and could haul more with the aluminum box trucks don't weight as much you a good salesman for them to give you a trailer like I said you could sell ice cubes to Eskimos that's me my friend you did this before Christmas now January 21 and cold wind chill factor 45 below zero cold 🥶 even sitting in the house a damp cold glad you posted waiting for next video tomorrow thanks again Chris
@InTheWoodyard thanks for getting back to me my friend I wonder if them are the same trailers u haul use's cause people go rent trailers and come and buy firewood same as there pickup trucks have a good one and stay warm
Good morning Chris, nice segment on the trailers. I bought a N&N 6x12 10k lb trailer the end of October right after I drove home from Whitehorse Yukon. That's a long butt haul that they had!!! I live an hr N of Madison. I like my trailer... made a couple small improvements on mine though. Happy cutting!

Somebody drove 9800 miles round trip from AK to purchase! Quality of those products looks real nice. -Chuck in Florida.
Good video like always Chris. I must say though when ready to upgrade your utra, you'll have to watch willy's firewood with hard working man. They split a full cord of wood under 10 minutes with that all wood splitter. That splitter is crazy fast. Wow. Anyway cheers.
Ya when the Wood hits the trailer the snow is gone. I have cremson maple purple leaves. That mixed hard wood had some real nice wood oak maple ash and even a walnut.
Yalls weather got loose and end up down here in South Louisiana I need yall to come down here and pick up and bring it back. 25 to teens later already got 2 inches. The whole state shut down. Lol. We ain't use to it.
Don’t forget it doesn’t rust like metal trailers hence extra cost is more cost effective 😊 I enjoyed the pictures, I think I remember you telling the story.😊 Merry Video Christmas 🎅 Donald Trump has problems with Microphones too Chris👍 Hope the cats got a lovely Christmas Dinner❤
Yes I'm a wood hound. I picked up some Norway Maple last week. I was wondering if it was just heavy because of the Frozen conditions or maybe just because of the species of it?
At the beginning of the video you have IBC crates holding what looks like off cuts - why? What will you do with them? Are the sorted? What's the story?

There is a dealer here that has galvanized trailers from Air Flo they have one about like your bigger one on their site right now for $12500 with side boards installed. Its 7x12. They have a small aluminum one for $5500 I think the price was but its smaller than the smaller one you have its 4.5 foot by 8 I think it said but that would still be a handy little trailer and that price is pretty cheap for aluminum. Fabin is the company they are in the Erie PA area
That $12500 is pretty cheap really. Not much more than the normal steel trailers. My next door neighbor buys a new trailer every few years because they are all rotted out by then. I don't know why he doesn't just buy galvanized and forget it. So what if its a few grand more. A Big Tex or Moritz like are sold all over around here really aren't that much cheaper for the same size trailer and within a few years they look like hell. He resells them for $5k or so and buys a new one every 2-3 years
Do you have any issues getting a full load in the 10k with large logs like 20-30” diameter? I think I’m getting a 6x12 too, I wanted a 7x14 14k since I drive a one ton but I’d prob use it a lot less and my trucks gvwr would put me 300 lbs into cdl territory
Tough choice...your 1 ton could easily handle either. You just have to know how much t load. I d not hink I have maxed mine out yet...very close though with gravel.
Hickory. I noticed the deer would rub their rack only on the Hickory out back for territory. I found it odd just Hickory. Fresh rubbing and old rubbing scarred.
