Nice, I made mine out of a lynx tin that I got for Christmas and got my daughter to draw carp on each side and punched through with a small nail so it lights up a carpy scene in the bivvy, genius
I love this vid I made one and best thing is it's so easy to make kept my bivvy nice and warm all night long all through October and November what a great way to make an easy bivvy heater for so little money thanks Alfie for this vid much appreciated
You have the winter carp bug !! What's the difference Geoff, We both use bivvies, bite alarms and loads of teabags or coffee, and try to stay warm. I don't catch many, but I'm out of the house and by water, what better way to spend the weekend my friend. Take care stay safe and keep it lit 👍.
Alfie mate good idea thankyou will give that ago mate, only downside i wish you had made this video 3 months ago, looking forward good luck next week mate and looking forward to your incoming video tight lines and wet nets
cheers on that nice and cheap to build, I'm old school me so two hot water bottles only, ive a question for yer as its ice cold outside and heater inside surely tons of condensation?
I really only use it when it is freezing cold just for warming my hands and taking the edge off I don't really need to worry about condensation with the bivvy I've got anyway. Tight lines 👍
Just like to ask as i am deffo, going to make one is there a risk of carbon monoxide gases in side the bivvy, i did buy a monoxide alarm for when i was hoping to go through the winter but it never happened with all the rain we have had my trip to fenland drains was washed out. So yeah thats all i wish to know.
There is always a risk, especially if you close your bivvy. Please use sensibley and keep plenty of ventilation passing through. Thanks for the comment 👍
Just have decent sleeping bag thermal cover and heated blanket toastie
Good idea mate. I started this video with alot of scepticism but you've nailed it.
Thanks Jack much appreciated tight lines pal 👍
Perfect for keeping your cuppa warm on too 😁
Nice to see something practical and best of all free, spot on mate cheers for that
Thanks Andrew tight lines pal 👍

Hot water bottles are severely underrated.
Decent idea, good video. Cheers
Great idea this, due some new line on the spools so will likely buy one with a tin next. 👍🏻
You can also use about thesame setup with an old metal tin and fill it with coals from a fire or bbq , just make sure it has airflow under it
Great idea ...Will definitely give it a go 👍
Being doing this thank you been looking for a way to make my own bivvy heater
Fantastic idea mate well made and worth it🤘just subbed mate, cheers Dan👍
Thanks Dan much appreciated 👍
Alfie mate good idea thankyou will give that ago mate, only downside i wish you had made this video 3 months ago, looking forward good luck next week mate and looking forward to your incoming video tight lines and wet nets

Best use for the fox exocet line..used fox line for yrs..the exocet was shocking..
Great idea 💡
Like it, will be knocking one up at work 🎣
Great tip thanks
Great idea mate, the only thing that would worry me is knocking it over when I have a run and setting the bivvy alight 🤷♂️🤷♂️
🤣🤣 Thanks mate good job I don't suffer too much with having to get up quick for a run🤣🤣
@@alfie_b 😂😂
I built one of these and it didn’t give off that much a heat in my bivvy I find buying a gas heater and leaving a bit of bivvy window open
Heading out this weekend, will give it a try 😉 nice one 👍
Thanks tight lines for the weekend 👍
Perfect mate

@@alfie_b cheers on that m8, tight lines and wet nets to you 👍
Tidy 👍🏼
Another no Carp Tax tip👍👍
you did make me laugh. drill a hole one in each corner of a round tin great idea tho x
I did think myself 🤣🤣 tight lines 👍
👏👏👏
@alfie. What’s that gillet your wearing please
It's just a blue heated 1 from ebay cost me around £20 just plug a power bank into it and away you go.👍
@@alfie_b I thought so , any good ?
Yeah it is pretty good I don't normally have a powerbank plugged into it.it is quite thin but surprisingly warm because of the reflective inside
Just like to ask as i am deffo, going to make one is there a risk of carbon monoxide gases in side the bivvy, i did buy a monoxide alarm for when i was hoping to go through the winter but it never happened with all the rain we have had my trip to fenland drains was washed out. Asking for trouble fall asleep good night
Do the legs get hot I assume not?
No mate not really 👍
I made one like the Nash bivvy heater with an old gas can
Sounds a good idea with the gas can think I'll gi e that a go 👍 tight lines
Brilliant idea and 100% going to make it. Which bolts did you say you used? Mondeo manifold bolts?
Yeah I used mondeo manifold bolts but any bolts that are 3 to 4 inches long tight lines 👍
What jacket is that?
Any good?
It's actually just a heated waistcoat from ebay and underneath I have a mainline hoody tight lines👍
The more candles you burn in an enclosed space like a bivvy the more carbon monoxide you create.
Get the Egg 🍳 and Bacon 🥓 on that ! 👍🏻
Top idea. Really like it. Of course it could be a little dangerous for small children or morons. But the rest of us shouldn't have any problems.
Totally agree 👍 tight lines pal
Good job beats £100 nash heater
Made one out of a old biscuit tin holds 6 I will be like toast
Just be careful with the carbon monoxide build-up in the bivvy mate if fishing alone in winter stay safe, mate and tight lines 👍
Copied from a vid from 11 months ago, still good idea
Just done with what I had mate tight lines 👍
I done this. it caught fire in my office testing it out. Bloody dangerous these are!
I'm sorry to hear Daniel did you knock it over or something ?
Na that would be a stupid thing to say if it was my accident luckily I come back in the room as it was just bout to get worse
I use a bowl of petrol.
🤣🤣 hope you dont kick it over
@@alfie_b only on November 5th 😀
@@blanketyblank5022 😂😂😂
good luck with that then.
@@Ron-Lfc10-163 thanks John. Nothing better than being warm
Great idea to set your bivvi on fire when you knock it over in the middle of the night!
Not for me thanks
Nah I'm like a ninja when I'm up in the night
More crap to lug about just get good winter gear & a hot water bottle
