Two amazing locations for a great day photographing near Beijing
During free day in Beijing I had signed up with my hotel for a tour to the Great Wall that also included a stop at the Sacred Way, which is the entrance to the Ming Dynasty royal tombs.
It takes about an hour and a half from the hotel to the Sacred Way with the morning traffic. We walked the a portion of the Sacred Way which is very straight and with trees to the sides, as well as many large carves statues of animals and courtesans.
From there it was another hour and a half to the MuTianYu section of the Great Wall of China. We took a chair lift to takes to the top and a sled ride to come down. It was beautiful location.
