For anyone wondering and wary of YT’s new blue links, Zaraki is like the Chuck Norris of Bleach. You don’t even want to imagine yourself strong enough to beat him.
The irony is even the show mocks the design. Everyone is shocked when he does it and many times in battle his blade jams or snap. He even says himself its to tear and cause more pain but he doesnt understand that its actually making it worse for him. Probably another reason he cant understand why the others are ahead of him in skill because their blades actually function as intended. He is also far more predictable because he cant use thrusts or certain other attacks due to his blades shape
Knapping is incredibly difficult to do in a controlled way, any dolt can smack two rocks together. However creating a shape with an edge and features takes a lot of practice and patience.
The only way it works is because Inosuke's entire philosophy for martial arts is that if at first you don't unga, then you must bunga for all of life's problems.
I'm already crying. There's no way that a rock can change the blade of a katana other than break it (didn't see the video fully yet) Okay, it's very similar to what I imagined. At that point you're just blunting that poor blade
I myself have reviewed a couple romance of men swords. Granted I don't do the abuse testing thing. I was over pleasantly surprised for the price how decent they were and how cool one of them really looked. Aesthetically really cool patterned and colored blade and they both had extremely minor flaws which is also very nice seeing as one sword was like only $150 give or take and the other one with discount and coupon was like 95. I hope that I can get more connected with them and other companies in the future and maybe get some review samples to play with. Anyways, you guys keep up the awesome work love the videos.
I think Inosuke's idea for shaping the blades like that isn't so he can slice his enemies, but so he can rip them apart with his own strengh. I think he wants his blades to intentionally get caught so that when he pulls the swords out, he rends flesh from bone. It's the same concept of using a bowie knife.
It's a very dumb idea considering there are much better weapons out there for ripping than a serated sword, but it makes sense for Inosuke's character since he's often described as fighting like a wild animal.
I've hered stories from the 1950s of guys who did something similar to straight razors so that it would produce wounds that couldn't be stitched together.
Normally I don't chime in much with these kind of videos, but I think something to keep in mind with this sword in particular is that it is being used by a character who swings wildly and with way more force than most people because of his upbringing, but also I is designed to fight demons, who constantly regenerate wounds, so he most likely intends to tear more than slice so he does as much damage as possible.
I must say, this video is an excellent way to break in my new TV. (Backlights in the old one died. I successfully replaced the backlight-only to break a cable I can't repair on the screen connectors when reassembling it)
Hey can we get a battle scene autopsy on the Siege of Minas Tirith and battle of the Five armies. We got to see all the major battles in the franchise.
I think it just goes with inosuke character style and mindset. Not just because he's far from civilisation and he shouldn't have an civilised/clean/sharp katana. Thing is, he's stronger and faster than most people. He lived in a world without tools, where teeth do the job. So sharp katana may be better, but that's not the kind of weapon system he trained and mastered. And above all, he uses a special attack that is litteraly "sawing" the neck of demons, that you couldn't cut otherwise. Too bad you didn't test it, on a piece of meat for example. So it makes it an uncommon and niche weapon, for an uncommon and niche character. And so, somehow, it works for me.
Maybe an interesting afterthought or another video showing if swords that have been dhipped/damaged being repaired/sharpened or if they can not be salvaged.
I make swords etc & tbh hitting the steel cold will almost always introduce micro fractures. Taking out chunks will create stress risers. Both of which will eventually lead to blade failure.
TBH, there is some martial sense if the character protrayed with one notched sword and one regular one. The notches could help with blade catching and the non notched one is for offensive use.
Tyranth: trying to be gentle for once. Shad: *woodpecker mode activated.* 😁 jokes aside, could the one from the anime have been mildly inspired by some kind of swordbreaker/ sword catcher blade?
In reality, you'd have to create a sword from scratch to look the way Inosuke's do. But if you did, they seem like they could have a sword breaking/capturing function, not sure how structurally sound or good at cutting they'd be though.
The only value I can think to something like this is if you often fight shirtless opponents and tour goal was to hurt them/cause nasty wounds instead of just killing them efficiently.
Expensive doesn't translate to indestructible, you've proven that many a times Brother Shad. Also, Demon Slayer being from a manga instantly means exaggerated absurdity for anyone wanting it in real life and anime especially with the good looking characters is merely an amplification of that.
thats A LOT more like Kempachi's sword. his blade was chipped and ragged because he was TOO STRONG for the sword and his philosophy was that if it breaks, it isnt worthy of combat. he also intentionally handicapped himself alot so it makes sense that he wouldnt see it as a problem.
Given how Shad is a fan of Rurouni Kenshin I'm surprised they haven't tried to test Shishio's Katana yet Not the serrations on the blade exactly, but the aspect of having a flammable substance on the blade and could a spark from a striker or striking another blade ignite it for any beneficial effect during combat rather than just having something like the fire swords we've already seen tested here on the channel
For best swords Earth can make = Plasma generated Ultrasonic holography + A Particle collider. Particle collider is how the shell on nuclear weapons that can lay in the fires of hell safely without breach, but Ultrasonic holography aka Pressure holography is for creating a pressure node to make sure opposing system doesn't need a material to shoot with the particle collider to get started. "Pressures as great as those at the bottom of the sea" < Higher with plasma based.. Norse: "Thor's hammer made from the heart of a dying star!" You mean what science now calls nuclear pasta? I know.. *Slides ultrasonic resonance generator into the bottom of the handle set to vibrate the blade to break bonds of metals and meats before blade comes in contact for a God weapon touch* *Points at the swords provided by the 'Demons' in 47 Ronin (2013)* Speed decides its challenger..
since even the show stated he wanted a weapon that would tear the enemy not slice them because he felt the tearing did extra damage. though I'm curious how a sword with the actual groves cut out would preform over the un-uniform nicks and chips in those
Sorry Shad - I skipped the foreplay and started full service lol 09:55 - - - is actually exceptionally accurate to the anime and manga, inosuke's swords are already old and semi-rusted he FOUND them lol - so i think that's a fair deal for his swords not to be on par with shit like Masamune or something lol he's an orphan raised in the wilderness, his swords are modeled after japanese woodsaws, which have lots of tiny little teeth, the anime obviously exaggerates comic book extremes even further.... but seriously where the hell is he going to find a legendary weapon??? Tanjiro inherited asthma control... not a bloody legendary sword lol Plus Tyranth himself says "we're taking gauges, but they're very, very small" inosuke's blades are modeled after japanese woodsaws despite being "samurai swords" - so i think that's exceptionally accurate already lol.
Could you check sometimes Bleach's Ichigos all swords? I mean, there is massive one, one with no hilt and with long cloth used for swinging, basic black sword etc.
Well... the Katanas of Inosuke may be inspired by, at least it reminds me of, Razor-Blade-BarbWire , so I wuold argue, that it would be quite different from the test you've done on the noodle with that bluntly-chipped katana. If you realy want to try out his Katanas, maybe go for razor-blades. I guess it would still be subpar to a smooth blade due to a rigged slicing-Motion, but it would be the fairest you gan give it, and maybe even surprises in beating expections here and there and proving some validities at least.
0:30 I wasn't expecting to hear "sword condom" today. Thanks Tyranth.
Remember kids, always wrap your sword before you stick in in the sheath.
no comment
Good advice
The right answer
and the video just started... I wonder what comes next
"Protection"
We don't want mini swords running around
You shouldn't hit your sword blade with a rock, wow you learn something new everyday
amazing right
I saw "can rock make swords" in the title but did not see The Rock as a guest in this video...yet.
He shows up at 22:50
outrageous!
That is beyond Shad's budget.
Perhaps, you just cant see him?
@@CloudBorne Oh come on, it's Rock we're talking about, not John Cena.
Inosuke: Making beast-fang katana with a heavy rock and a can-do attitude.
Inosuke is a 40k orc.
Objective: Inosuke
Result: Zaraki Kenpachi
More than Inosuke's sword it looks like Zaraki Kenpachi's sword
For anyone wondering and wary of YT’s new blue links, Zaraki is like the Chuck Norris of Bleach. You don’t even want to imagine yourself strong enough to beat him.
Lmao true was just about to say that
But his sword is defined as chipped and damage and that it doesn't cut clean
Yap Zaraki did it first
1:42
"the guy with the boar head"
*Visibly annoyed*
"Yeah... let's go with that"
Congratulation! You've made a Chainsword!
But yes, this is the reason why the swordsmith in the anime was furious at Inosuke for doing that.
Well this is now basically the edge of kenpachis zanpakuto from bleach
I was expecting a test to slash through a skyscraper.
Least efficient way to find a stick.
Knapping is incredibly difficult to do in a controlled way, any dolt can smack two rocks together. However creating a shape with an edge and features takes a lot of practice and patience.
I love ALL Shadiversity videos!!!! ❤
For your sword cutting test you can make ballistic gel it's extremely cheap and easy to make
The only way it works is because Inosuke's entire philosophy for martial arts is that if at first you don't unga, then you must bunga for all of life's problems.
Still waiting for my Katana and Wakazashi to come in from them! I can't wait, ordered them on the 19th of Oct.
Well, tearing hurts more than cutting. A LOT more. So I guess this kinda fits in with the "boarheaded fiend" theme
I'm already crying. There's no way that a rock can change the blade of a katana other than break it (didn't see the video fully yet)

THEY FINALLY DID IT!!!
I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!
If you want to test if Inosukes sword would actually cut, Minikatana has a battle ready replica that’s screen accurate

Great video for the weekend! Thanks y'all, you've been doing great recently and you vids have been awesome!
Judge smiling "you sword ... can chip"
"It can chip"
Can't wait to see how this turns out
I've hered stories from the 1950s of guys who did something similar to straight razors so that it would produce wounds that couldn't be stitched together.
You should check out this sandbox game called Tiny Glade. It's perfect for building castles.
I love Inosuke, he's so f-up, wild and ... true, somehow :D
Came to see the making of about a katana made out of solid rock. My hopes were shattered.
That would definitely be true mine craft.... iron ore to steel to finished sword
Now if Shad has an iron mine on his property....🤔
Normally I don't chime in much with these kind of videos, but I think something to keep in mind with this sword in particular is that it is being used by a character who swings wildly and with way more force than most people because of his upbringing, but also I is designed to fight demons, who constantly regenerate wounds, so he most likely intends to tear more than slice so he does as much damage as possible.
Damn shad, you're looking great 😳
Here is the usual full support for algorithmic black magic, channel growth, and engagement.
love your videos guys♥, I hope you guys would review chinese hook swords if its possible.
I must say, this video is an excellent way to break in my new TV. (Backlights in the old one died. I successfully replaced the backlight-only to break a cable I can't repair on the screen connectors when reassembling it)

I was just about to write something like that. It's a terrible sword for everyone else, but a good sword for Inosuke to use.
Unfortunately RomanceOfMen don't deliver to the UK. Or at least I wasn't able to get my order delivered.
glad to see the dent from the wooden greatsword is still on the castle, lmao
It looked more like Kenpachi's sword from Bleach TBH.
I've seen a Japanese chiefs knife with the same type of edge as inoskes. I assume thats were the writer got the idea for the design.
So... another katana...
Alright that was more fun than I expected at first
Maybe an interesting afterthought or another video showing if swords that have been dhipped/damaged being repaired/sharpened or if they can not be salvaged.
I don't even want to think about the crystal structures happening in some of these anime metals.
Result: Kenpachi's sword
All the boys are off their faces drunk and I’m over here still goin kickin back to some shadi, can’t go wrong.
Tyranth: trying to be gentle for once. Shad: *woodpecker mode activated.* 😁
jokes aside, could the one from the anime have been mildly inspired by some kind of swordbreaker/ sword catcher blade?
8:39 speaking of the S5, cloudhammer now has S5 longswords you can preorder!
In reality, you'd have to create a sword from scratch to look the way Inosuke's do. But if you did, they seem like they could have a sword breaking/capturing function, not sure how structurally sound or good at cutting they'd be though.
"Been watching it with my kids."... Watching some wholesome bois decapitate demons, I guess...
As a scientific minded person I’m happy this video exists, as a general sword aficionado, this is one of the most painful videos I’ve ever seen.
The only value I can think to something like this is if you often fight shirtless opponents and tour goal was to hurt them/cause nasty wounds instead of just killing them efficiently.
well, inosuke does use it as a saw sometimes especially with 2 blades and 1 on each side to rip something apart
7:16 pure joy
Demon Slayer is my second favorite anime and even I know how badly this will go. I watched Inoske do it and I was just like “No…”
Expensive doesn't translate to indestructible, you've proven that many a times Brother Shad. Also, Demon Slayer being from a manga instantly means exaggerated absurdity for anyone wanting it in real life and anime especially with the good looking characters is merely an amplification of that.
kempaki zaraki more look sword
You could try grinding a wave and test, like a flamberge
thats A LOT more like Kempachi's sword. his blade was chipped and ragged because he was TOO STRONG for the sword and his philosophy was that if it breaks, it isnt worthy of combat. he also intentionally handicapped himself alot so it makes sense that he wouldnt see it as a problem.
reminds me bit about Zaraki Kenpachi's sword from Bleach.
Rough edge cuts still deeper than sharp blade...
yeah, i think inosuke was hitting directly on the edge, not in the side like it would be in a obsidian tool.
😂😂😂😂😂
I am going to have a laugh AND an aneurism. This is so gloriously stupid!
Given how Shad is a fan of Rurouni Kenshin I'm surprised they haven't tried to test Shishio's Katana yet
Not the serrations on the blade exactly, but the aspect of having a flammable substance on the blade and could a spark from a striker or striking another blade ignite it for any beneficial effect during combat rather than just having something like the fire swords we've already seen tested here on the channel
Looks like Shira's sword in Blade of the Immortal, would like Shad to try Maki's blades considering his love of nunchuks
Movable force vs stoppable object.
I've never heard of someone lacking ROCKS on their property before.

Tyranth is a scientist* and is ok breaking stuff.😂
since even the show stated he wanted a weapon that would tear the enemy not slice them because he felt the tearing did extra damage. though I'm curious how a sword with the actual groves cut out would preform over the un-uniform nicks and chips in those
You should get Tyranth to make a proper saword & put it to the test.
Sorry Shad - I skipped the foreplay and started full service lol

The cut @ 8:30 is hilarious
You might say this sword ... rocks.
I'll show myself out.
Hit it with a rock?
My way is not very sportsman-like
I got tested with a Katan once. I still have a small scar on my knee.
I wonder how much it would cost to ship a good pair of welding gloves to Australia?
A hard igneous rock like granite would be ideal for work hardening metal.
He does use it as saws in the anime.
this look more like the sword of the eyepatch guy in bleach
Yo guys, you guys ended up making kenpachi zaraki's sword xD Niceeee
7:10
The Tai Lopez memes will never die.
Could you check sometimes Bleach's Ichigos all swords?
I mean, there is massive one, one with no hilt and with long cloth used for swinging, basic black sword etc.
I want to see you try to saw some wood or a stick with that sword.
Knapping is pretty easy, even stone age people could do it.
HEY SHAD!
I found a video you might like. Its called Hard Blade. Its here on UA-cam.
They aimed for inosuke's sword and ended on Zaraki kenpachi's (from bleach anime) sword lol
"its a saw sword"
like a 40k chainsword?
19:03 I'm disappointing he didnt answer Gompanchiro
That sword looks like kenpachi's sword from bleach, than the demon slayer one.
A rock!? Pah! Much better is a laser cutting tool.
That looks more like Zarakis Odachi
i think inosuke WANTS it to tear... makes it more difficult for demons to heal i would assume
It's anime, style is what they do.
there's no rational world where breaking a sword in that manner that would make it better.
So, what about a bread knife? How well would that work? Especially as a sword?
To be fair, his sword would cut better considering how it’s chipped out, though, it would be less durable.
Well... the Katanas of Inosuke may be inspired by, at least it reminds me of, Razor-Blade-BarbWire , so I wuold argue, that it would be quite different from the test you've done on the noodle with that bluntly-chipped katana. Inosuke Inosuke Inosuke Inosuke
Does anybody but me think that Tyranth kinda looks like Madara Uchiha with that armor on? lol 😂
