to pick any size you need traditional square or rectangle ruler. In my opinion it is totally waste of money and much more work. Can you imagine to reposition that ruler so many times just on one piece? They absolutely have no new ideas to share,so sad some people fall into it.

Split rectangles have specific dimensions: they are 2 time tall as wide.
