Any word on when Visas will be processes again. We are selling our home and planning to leave in July, we don't want to go w/out a long stay visa although we can go for 90 days. But we don't want to have to leave again to apply, which France makes you do. Such uncertainty. We are hoping to buy a house in France but scary to do w/out a visa.
We are thinking about retiring to Toulon-French husband and I’m Américaine. This is an old video. If you see this, do you have any updated information about any ex-Pat community in Toulon? My French is currently at somewhere between B1-B2, so I’d appreciate some ties to an ex-Pat American community.

For Americans who are at full retirement age and started collecting SS (Social Security), is the SS taxable in France and if so, how many % of the SS goes to French Tax? Also, if you don't work, but just living on the SS, do you need to file French Tax Returns? Thank you so much.
Social security is not taxed in France. You still need to file a return but won't pay tax on SS or other passive income. Best of luck!

Toulon is beautiful as is all of the south of France where we go on holiday every year (from here in Belgium) but nowadays tragically, we can no longer travel there due to this insane push to criminally coerce innocent people to get that lethal injection(s).
