My daughter spent a year in jail…she took a voluntary probation revocation for a year in order to get herself off drugs & turn her life around after an 8+ year addiction to drugs. She came home on December 30th; got a job, was meeting (exceeding) the terms & expectations of her probation (in 2 counties), was taking her children to church every Sunday, and enjoying being a part of their daily lives again. I got my daughter back…her children got their mother back. She was THRIVING!!! She always had a “radio heart” & LOVED listening to music. That was her escape…her way of expressing a lot of what was in her heart. She would play “Note To Self” NUMEROUS times throughout each & every day! I lost my mother on a Wednesday after a long battle with vascular dementia …two days later on a Friday, my sweet girl relapse & I lost her to an accidental drug overdose. To loose my mother and my daughter both within a couple of days of each other, the week before Mother’s Day was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through in my life. Now I listen to “Note To Self” & can feel the emotions that drew my daughter in to that song. 💜

Great song. So many songs sing about beer and whiskey. This is the first one that "leaves it on the shelf". It helps me stay sober and overcome the things i thaught i "needed" whiskey for. Great notes to live by. Thank you!

Been dealing with a hard break up for the past few months and one of the things she asked me when she told me she was leaving was "you honestly don't think we are made for each other do you?" So that line among others really hit me hard

Dealing with one right now currently, we definitely had something special but she fell into a deep depression and broke up with me to save me. Been trying to keep my head up but man so many really good memories, maybe we can try it again once she’s better but until then guess it’s just me again 😕. Keep your head up man
You might not realize it, but your music has been a big part of my life. I started listening to you back in 2011 when I first got my license. The memories of riding around with the windows down. Now I'm almost 27, with a family. Times change. Thanks for helping me in my moments in life when I couldn't find the words but found them in one of your songs.
