“Golf caddy,” That is funny. As a teen I also did that. Always ended up with the biggest, heaviest, black bag. LOL

@@aoifeclifford6348 I grew up in Smithtown, Long Island, New York and we had a golf course within about a 1/2 hour walk from my home. We would get up about 3 am and walk to the golf course and wait for it to open. Back then, not too many golfers used carts. I weighed about 135 pounds but always ended up with the golfer who had a gigantic bag filled with clubs. We walked the 18 holes and I think we earned anywhere between $10-$20 if we were lucky. I think that is why I am not a golfer today. LOL. Anyway, love your channel. Stay safe. Mark

Thanks for the advices....I used to keep money in a door that had a cavity, every time I went through that door I would insert a coin or paper money into the door cavity for up to a year. when calculated, it can cover food expenses for several months.

I remember your video from before when you show us your kitchen; you mention then tha you dont really cook much and I was stunned to hear that; imediatelly thinking; how much money you spend on eating out or on take aways. Many young people get amused by Dubai and think that life will be like that for ever.. I know 37 yrs marketing manager who is in Dubai since she was 24; never save anything, living of plastic cards, always in the minus.. once you hit 40 you will realise that all that bling bling life was nice but is gone too and what would the future be like? So my advice is ; save enought to buy even smallest place somewhere in the world ( Spain is cheap) but dont save for deposit; you will be slave to the rest of your life( unless renting)
Dont take your life style you have now for granted; think about the future, not only money wise but also who would you gona marry... secure yourself when you are young because in Dubai when you are ower 40 you are old already .
Remember that shopping, drinking and eating out is ok but not your primeraly satisfaction.

    • @aoifeclifford6348
      @aoifeclifford6348  3 роки тому +1

To be fair, that’s actually such solid advice!!! Thank you!!😍

You are one very smart girl.. I can be your mother lol but still love your recipes for happiness
I see you realised that following the “ trends” street fashion and all what Dubai is offering is not that excited anymore and you realised that there is still a life but more on “ economic “
Way( capsule wardrobe and removing take away apps ) are only some good examples.
Try to see youtube videos from Justine Leconte , she talks about things like that a specially Capsule wardrobe.
Im in fashion business for many years and street fashion is only for commoners and those who like to part with their money easily. COS brand ( posher part of H&M) is great example how to look posh and expensive but you don’t need to spend a fortune. Also there is second hand shop in Dubai called: Retold , really good stuff but much cheaper... Its all about good taste nothing to do how much you actually pay for something. ( sorry english is not my first language)

I do it all, it really works. And it's tough only first 2-3 months, then, you kinda get used to it. I had to move to another city and buy an apartment there so I definitely got a push to save money haha (no wonder when you loaned money for the whole new apartment+construction/decorating+furniture) O_O. Quite an experience for three years long. Now it's just one year to go (Thanks God).

    Hi
Proudly to be one of the subscribers
So I need your recommendations about
How can I get a job in UAE as an English teacher?
I am Hadi from Palestine and I've been teaching English for more than 8 years. and I've graduated from Damascus University.
I also worked with UNRWA as an English trainer
Moreover, I have TEFL and now I do my TESOL with Arizona State University(online)
Additionally to all of that, I am studying M.E.D at the University of the People.
And more about soft skills that I had and certificated at them with more experience to deal with young and adults in great communication skills and human development with UNFPA.
so I hope you answer me soon to know how can I get a great teaching opportunity there in UAE.
    THANKS ALOT
    HADI 👌👌

What about sewing? Being able to stitch up holes in my clothing has been great. You can even do creative mending which becomes a fashion statement in itself. You can also rescue 2nd hand fabric from ebay or fashion designers excess rolls to make your own clothes. I have a friend who also remakes clothes from beautiful silk dresses found in the charity shop.

A good idea is to socialise with other nationalities not only your own to see what is their frame of mind saving wise. Surround yourself with people who want to save, not the ones who live just for today and dont think about tomorrow.

Don’t save so much you never enjoy, it’s a balance, you don’t want to be 75 with a million dollars with no fond memories or adventures. Many things can be done on a shoestring budget. Working is great but grinding forever with no sleep and not seeing your loved ones is a BAD HABIT.
