Thank you.😊 I had no idea there was a note in with the recipe until I decided to make this video. Now that I feel more comfortable making pizzelles, I'll make them each year for the family, taking up the tradition.😊
I absolutely love that youve inherited your momma and grandmas vintage bakong items that have clearly been cared for because they still work. I am so excited for this one!
How brave to film an untried pizzelle maker for us! Glad they turned out well. I know your grandmother would love that you are using and sharing it as well. And I love all the "Fold it in!" clips, too.
When I first pluged it in I heard something and was thinking I hope this thing is safe.😂 I had no idea what I was doing so, those clips fit perfectly.😊🎅🎄
Love the schitts creek clips while you were baking! 😂 what a nice childhood memory you shared with us and the pizelles look like they came out great aside from the first attempt! 😉
Omg im italian and grew up with my Grandma and Mom and relatives all making Pizzelle. Wow this brings back some amazing memories. Thank you. Take 2 pizzelles and put vanilla ice cream in the middle. So yummy!!!!
Me as well, my dad always made them with anise which a lot of people don't care for. I eventually cultivated a taste for the anise. My dad passed away this year and my brother has taken on the tradition.
Hi Tina,🙋♂️ I love that this video sparked some memories. Being in the kitchen this time of year always brings back so many good memories of my family. I'm so glad we have those. I will definitely make an ice cream sandwich with these. That sounds delicious!😀
How sweet that your Grandma left that precious note in the Pizzelle maker. I just loved this video so much, its like she knew you would carry on her tradition ❤❤❤
I never knew that there was a note in bag the with the recipe, till I went to film this video. I wish I had tried making these sooner, but every time I'd look at the Pizzelle maker I thought to myself, this looks complicated and I'd walk away.😊
It is just beautiful. The memories are beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing your family tradition with us. I love the clips. I really enjoyed the whole video. Your Grandma would be proud. Have a wonderful week ❌️ ⭕️
Thank you Lisa.❤ Baking around the holidays always brings back wonderful memories of my grandmother and mother. It seemed they were in the kitchen all December.😂 Those clips, I felt just fit perfectly. I had no idea what I was doing.🤣🤣 Have a great week.😊
So sweet that she specifically wanted you to have it and now look at you honoring it for her on youtube she is definitely smiling she knew it belonged to you long before you wouldve ever even considered you might have a youtube channel let alone youd be making a video with this. I love synchronicity's.
Great heart warming video! Your grandmother sounds like a gem and wanting you to have her Pizzelle maker is wonderful and you were able to make them well. Yeah, trial and error with anything new is par the course. How fun! I need to find my bayberry candle and burn that as well since my mom always burned one at the holidays also. 🎄
Thanks Donna.😊 I had no idea what I was doing, but after a couple tries, I got the hang of it...sorta. 😂 I'm just glad they didn't burn on the griddle. I think I'll try making some more in the coming week.😊
Thanks Kristen. I had no clue what I was doing, but they came out pretty good for my first try. I had no idea that note from my grandma was there till I went to film this video.😀
This was fun Eric. I love that you pulled this out of your grandmas old things. I love listening to traditions. I have a waffle maker and mine steams but looks like you’re doing great.
Oh no a mishap lol maybe by the 30th one you’d have it down lol. That’s a lot. they sound good. So cool your memories of watching your grandmother make and her leaving that for you❤loved the retro experience😃
This was a fun video for me. I had no idea what I was doing in the kitchen.😂 The very first pizzelle didn't go right lol. I got a little better each time. I'm just so glad they didn't burn or stick to the griddle.😂
Awe, thanks Shaiza! I had no idea what I was doing in the kitchen.🤣 I felt like it needed some hilarity. Those clips I added was exactly how I felt with that pizzelle maker.😂
Eric, I swear I heard The Way We Were softly playing in the background of this video, but I guess it was just my imagination ☺️. Another great vlogmas episode for the books!
All Eric, I loved every minute of this Video, I tell you, Your grandmother knew you would keep & use this Baby, & You did a great job, You got to Love these Memories from Family to last you a life time, & that is really Something Special, During a Holiday when I'm in the kitchen making Something my mom or grandmother made I talk to them too, really marking them of things they use to say while making different foods, I treasure all those great Memories they will last us A Life time for sure! We'll TFS Friend, Have a Great Evening! 🥰 🍳 🍪
Hey VaterMae, I love how cooking and baking in the kitchen can bring back wonderful memories of our time with our families. Especially around the holidays. I wish I had gotten this Pizzelle maker out sooner, but it looked so complicated to me. I would just look at it and walk away, saying maybe next year.😂 I'm so glad I finally gave it a try.😊 Have a great week my friend!!❤
My sister makes pizzelles. I've always thought they seemed difficult and she probably makes them in her sleep. I asked what she used and she has some cast iron maker she uses? You did very well for your first try and waffles are very similar with some of the same results. I usually have them run over the edge too! After Ghiradelli (sp?) hot chocolate, you will never want the ol' Swiss Miss again! Happy Day 5 of Vlogmas. I did get your card - thanks. And happily, I got my bow candle too ... I was not greedy - just wanted one and it is pretty! 🤗
The pizzelle maker just sat on a shelf for all these years, because it looked complicated to me.😂 I had no idea what I was doing, but they turned out ok for my first try. Now that I have a feel for it, I'm going to try it again and make chocolate pizzelles!😀 The Ghirardelli hot coco beat Swiss Miss hands down. I'll be getting some more this weekend!😊🎅🎄
you hardly made a mess with a minor drip that didnt even hit the counter lol i hate to see a real mess in your kitchen lol you did good they look yummy
OMG now I want a pizelle maker. I love how sentimental you are toward your mother and grandmother, so sweet. ❤️ I wonder what the difference is between butter and margarine for baking? On a side note, have you ever burned Vanilla Birch? My gosh it smells so good, I don't remember this one last year and I only grabbed 2, burned one and so sad I only have one left. Of course they are all sold out, hoping to hunt for it during SAS.
These came out pretty good, for my first time trying. I'm going to try another batch, maybe chocolate pizelles.🤔 I love Vanilla Birch! I have a few of them left. I try to buy 2 each year that they come out. You might find it during sas. I know I've found some crazy things during sas.😂
I'm wondering if some of the flavoring burns off and that's why you need a large amount. My Italian family made them every year with anise and I grew up not liking the anise but as an adult cultivated a taste for it. You have sparked my interest in trying to make them myself.
I think you are right about the flavoring burning off. Even when I make almond cookies, the recipe only needs 2 teaspoons of almond extract. They have a strong almond flavor. Im going to try making these again with the anise. Maybe some chocolate ones too.🤔😀🎅🎄
So see I found a comment about the anise. That’s the way I’m used to having them flavored. As I child I didn’t like the licorice flavor! Yes I’m from an Italian family too and my cousin still has the Pizzelle maker from my grandma from years and years ago. She made 100s of them every Christmas it was a family tradition since I was a child. I’d be curious to know if the Italians always made them with anise because I didn’t know there was any other way to flavor them.
I had to get my app so I could let you know that tears 😭 started to flow when I saw that note from your grandmother to your mom. So sweet. 🥲 that recipe looks like so many of the ones I inherited from my grandma and mom when they passed away too. Must be my hormones but this ones going to hit hard today. 😢😢
I never knew the note was there till I finally opened up the little bag to get the recipe out. I spent a lot of time with my grandma growing up. I was always in the kitchen seeing what she was making.😊 I got a little teared up editing this video.
What a fun video , and I just love that your Grand Mother wanted you to have her pizelle maker! What a treasure, and especially the note! ❤
My grandma kept this pizzelle maker in great condition. I'm amazed it still works.😂

This was fun Eric. I love that you pulled this out of your grandmas old things. I love listening to traditions. I have a waffle maker and mine steams but looks like you’re doing great.
I've never made waffles or anything like this before. This was a fun learning experience for me. I'm just happy I didn't burn anything. 😂
Oh no a mishap lol maybe by the 30th one you’d have it down lol. That’s a lot. they sound good. So cool your memories of watching your grandmother make and her leaving that for you❤loved the retro experience😃

How fun! Never had a pizzelle but now I'm curious!
They are crunchy and lighty sweet. Very light flavor, over all. The vanilla or almond ones would go great with tea.😊
This vlogmas episode gave me all the feels! Heartwarming!❤Nerve-wracking!😮Hilarious!😂
