Hi Matt, How do you remove the top cover on these pedals. It seems the ends of the shaft must be drilled out. But then the shaft will probably have to be replaced? I need to replace the post in my pedal. I would appreciate your comments Mike in germany

Did you ever figure this out? I was wondering the same thing.
It is a spring loaded shaft, so you just press it in so the top pedal sheet metal clears , assembly in reverse.
