There’s a coffee shop in New Mexico called Piñon Coffee that puts “coffee ice cubes” in their iced coffee drinks!
Well that makes sense, else normal ice cubes will water it down

I used to work as a barista at a place where we did this with the leftover coffee at the end of the day

Everyone should listen to ear biscuits. It's the most underrated podcast on the internet. If you want to know the true Rhett and Link watch it. I do my college homework while listening to them and it's become almost a must to listen to them every session.
Rhett really doesn't like to lose. So happy that Link won one. I recall the Ear Biscuits where Rhett was saying Link was as competitive as he was but I think Rhett is the most competitive one of the two.

I think they’ve mentioned before that Rhett is just a bad loser. Link being competitive is kind of necessary if he’s going to be someone that’s fun to play against. You at least want your opponent to _try_ to play to win but people conflate being a good loser with being someone who doesn’t even try to win
I just listened to that too. Its all I thought about this episode. In the ear biscuits the fact that rhett was trying to argue and debate, while link was just trying to have a conversation about how he feels, tells me how competitive rhett is.

Part of their schtick is to be vocal about winning and losing. Let’s be honest, the games wouldn’t be as interesting if they didn’t have extreme, played-up reactions, that’s what Rhett is doing, it’s fine and normal

@@OngCelly OP stated it was a subconscious choice, not a conscious one. Meaning Link doesn't deliberately lose every single game without fail, his subconscious just pushes him in that direction, which causes him to lose more often than not.
For the record, I'm not saying I agree with OP. (I don't know Link personally so I can't judge) I'm just explaining the logic.

I doubt they’ll see this but I’ll weigh in on the competitive conversation. I believe Rhett is competitive and a competitive person. I believe Link can be occasionally competitive, but he is not a competitive person because he doesn’t always strive for competition and is more often accepting of losing that Rhett typically is when he loses. My take is that you can be competitive in instances but not actually be a competitive person. I think it’s more about how you feel about yourself winning/losing and how much personal importance you place on that success/failure. Today is a good example because Link doesn’t put as much, if any, worth on winning (or losing in many cases) as Rhett places worth on winning/losing.
The "places worth" idea I think is a really helpful/accurate way of assessing it.
I think you're right. I'm a fairly competitive person I will always try to win if I think I can but it's not a big deal to me if I loose. The value thing is a really good point. In senior school me and my friends used to play cards a lot (I'm in a wheelchair so couldn't really go onto the field like most kids) and for the life of me I can't remember who won most often I just remember the fun I had.
It seems to me that Link isn't normally competitive, but he will be if it's necessary. I think he even said it himself in the podcast
Laying down and listening to an audiobooks brings me back to being read to before bed. It has nostalgia, love, and removes all the work needed. I will never stop reading physical books, but I have been so much happier since audible.

There’s a local coffee shop here In Knoxville, TN called K Brew that uses coffee ice cubes for most of their iced coffee beverages. If you’re in the area, I HIGHLY recommend them.

I usually listen to podcasts while doing nothing, it’s rare that I’m actually doing something while listening. Than again, I only listen to podcasts that have video. I like to watch the body language and facial expressions as they’re talking. It makes it so much more personable.
The more I watch GMM, the more I think Link is a gift directly from God. Like God sent down the most perfect and best dog and made him a human. Link is too good for us

It only seems that way because link loses more / talks / complains more.
It reminds me of a poker "Strategy" where because players with more table talk seem to be playing more hands than they really are. People think they are more loose. and it's harder to tell when they tighten up.

There are enough failsafes in Point-of-Sale systems that you can't really "accidentally" double-charge someone. It's usually a result of a communication error that makes it look like the transaction didnt go through.

Yeah. Some coffee places make your iced coffee with fresh hot coffee but not Starbucks. It's like buying one of those bottles of refrigerated Starbucks coffee - the ice really isn't necessary.
Coffee ice cubes are the way to go. There was a bakery in my old town that did that. Idk if they still do but we got the idea to do it at home

I usually multitask unless the subject matter is really heavy. Like for the Lost Years series, for example, my attention was fully undivided on the podcast and nothing else.

Also, coffee ice is a good idea-i make a pot of coffee on sundays and pour it into my ice cube tray to freeze. Then, when i have cold brew through the week, that’s the ice i put in :)

If a place gives too much ice for your liking, you can always order it with "EZ ice" and they typically won't put a lot of ice in it. I do it all the time at fast food places, especially Sonic. Sonic loads their drink to the top with that crunchy ice, so you only get like 5 sips of your actual soda.
