- 1 mod changing the player cap from 120 to 500 gave us all we needed.
The first test was a success…..
THE VERY NEXT DAY we went from 200 to 250 players. Creating for me, the greatest medieval battle experience I've ever had in a video game.
That isn't an understatement.
To JOIN these events you need to be in a participating clan.

We are the Largest Clan On Bannerlord. We are a Roleplay clan with English and French Speaking players.
We Have Multiple Events a week and ALL skill levels welcome.

These games are organised and hosted by clans on a private server.
They work because everyone follows a set of rules in order to recreate a more realistic battle scenario.
Example: Keeping a good formation, no solo playing, no trolling.
It worth also mentioning these are friendly games. Winning is certainly our goal but it doesn't matter as long as we have an epic fight to talk about!

I always underestimated just how good of a job they did with animation in this game. Had no clue big battles like this would be so cinematic, very cool videos.
I am absolutely flabbergasted! This was the most insane mount and blade multiplayer video I have ever seen! I can't believe that I forgor about this event, but I look forward to the future battles and potentially becoming a member of your clan!

@@asimhd1990 for BRE we have events mostly sundays evening 8PM +0 and trainigs (often replaced with smaller events) on thuesdays and thursdays same time

Love it can we get some info about the timezones you guys play in, also would be cool if the leaders/formation commanders could equip banners on there backs the the men know where to form up plus how sick it would be
our events are on thursdays and sundays at 8PM CET
These are all EU servers at around 8pm like Raynaud says.
Regarding banners on commands that is a brilliant idea!
Even more so a banner is a weapon/item that can be given to a bearer to follow the commander. Very cool idea
With the release should be added banners for the troops in SP. Who knows, maybe we'll see them in MP too. But even if not, the modders will do their job.
I'm in BRE and played as an archer this game. We got rekt but was fun.
Archers are either super effective, or they are not so much :P

id say your biggest problem is your guy's formation just walking to the enemy it brakes
We do have a lot of new members.
In training we’re fine but maybe the pressure of the enemy approaching hits the nerves of the soldiers aha

Red team have great formation at beginning But when they came closer to yellows their shild walls breakd very fast even though they win
Still early days for a lot of soldiers :) as time goes on we will bleed discipline into the ranks

Something I noticed, don't see a lot of shields getting destroyed.
I guess there aren't a lot of archers neither.
Maybe a mod that would allow for shield splitting would be cool, aka if a certain area of the shield takes successive damage it will crack or split?
That would be awesome, unfortunately I don’t think that’s possible from what I’ve seen.
They can break but they do take a while.

Wow what happened in that second round? The cohesion of the Red team's line didn't seem that tight, yet they still won...
So I believe the Yellows had one large infantry unit whereas the reds had 2-3 medium. Which allows them to not be as straight a line and manoeuvre easier. MAYBE anyway ;)

Your on the front lines, the ground begins to tremble as the enemy line of shields marches towards you.
Your commander gives the order advance and you and all your brothers in arms begin the step together in unison.
You know this could be your last day or even hour as you are on the frontline of what will be a bloody battle.
A horse is seen dismounted.
A. You carry on marching with your brothers to fight for glory.
B. You take the horse like a coward and flee as your fellow soldiers judge you as a deserter.
For something like a game this is pretty impressive, the atmosphere is incredible. How can I join this??:(((( I wanna serve!

Is 250 men medieval army accurate? Was watching Vikings and each Viking or Saxon "King/Jarl" had like just around 100 men each battle. Worst was that 30 vs 30 army by forgot his name Jarl with Rollo vs Ragnar.
Aha we’ll this is the biggest and I have many others that range from 30 to 250 soldiers.

Can someone tell me why they only use vlandian Sargent or knights every time I watch multi-player battles?
And not any other units?
A couple reasons; balance, preference and aesthetic.
They are closest to medieval soldiers than other factions. :)
Personally I’d like to see other factions too ;)

you dont do any extra damage if you have the high ground
I don’t think so… damage is done by speed of character + the weapon swing itself.
I’m not sure if you gain speed going down hill in this game.
Edit: that being said it does take longer to go up.

It certainly helps arrows! Otherwise I guess no point.
I’d have to add though, we play to roleplay reality, as geeky as that sounds.
High ground is the advantage!

id think if you want realistic pitched battles in bannerlord. you would have to turn off friendly fire at least, and weapon collision with friendly
Hey my friend, honestly I understand what you mean but when friendly fire is turned off it makes it a lot more…. Sporadic.
People just run through swinging wildly and the battle line doesn’t hold very long.
Team damage makes players a lot more reserved and conscious about their actions.
all this wiggling around and going behind enemy lines is pretty unrealistic, in RL it was way more stationary. you need to play only in first person (you will not jump into enemys like that because you cant see behind you and have very little vision because of helmet and shield. it would be really cool to see a realistic battle like that. also you need to play like your life depends on it... it did in RL tho.. like tell everyone, everyone who dies will get banned for a month or smth (dont do it - but somehow create the psychological "dont die").
on the other hand it should be fun but it would be a cool reenactment video i think.

We Had "LITTLE" conversation over who controls the world
its nowhere near the closest ever recreation of a pitched battle. its quite unrealistic from what we see in the video. total war definetily is closer to reality on this

Not realistic, they all dissolve into chaos, not holding formation. The bots in captain mode are better disciplined lol
This is not what medieval battles looked like. They were mostly unbroken line battles. Slow and steady. This goes straight to chaos with the first charge. Its cool but not what youre promoting it as. There are way battle examples of realistic.

Honestly I respect your point of view. And I certainly understand your pov.
HOWEVER, there is no game where someone can get this experience which “I Believe” is the closest to recreating a medieval battle.
Large scale AI is impressive and ‘looks good’ but what’s important to trying to recreate a medieval battle, is players.
Each unit with an intelligent controller. No one man selecting units of 120 who can’t think for themselves.
How about you put mod in video description, is this so problematic to do man?
Hey dude, the reason I haven’t is because this was still technically a test.
There’s no way anyone can download the mod and gather this many players to even use the mod.
I appreciate your comment and trust me I will post it everywhere when it’s ready for all.

saturday's event was much better and much more fair.
We’ll the aim for this event again was to break the numbers of Saturday and have the first proper “pitched” battle.
Captain fracas a French UA-camr bought his followers/community of players. These are the Randoms you speak of :)
For players who don’t play as often, they did extremely well imo
@@Benoniyoutube Really glad we manage with Captain to get this well with "randoms", even if most of them where regular players of our events and that's why we manage to get to this. Glad to win the game where I took command of half of the Combattants ! You also fought really well obviously ;).
