These people accomplish nothing yet they constantly want to destroy those that have. All they do is undermine others in a weak and desperate attempt to make themselves seem significant. All they do is destroy.
Pathetic.
That's the definition of Marxism.
IRONIC.
WHO THE F IS SHE ANYWAYS??? George wrote star wars... like JK ROWLING wrote harry potter, like Tolkien wrote LOTR...
I made a comment critical of the gentleman in the picture beside her that youtube felt the need to memory hole.
But I stand by the other thing I said. There have been lots of books and videogames made with little to no input from Lucas that are good. George isn't infallible either, I still don't like the prequels.
Neither is Timothy Zahn, see Yuuzhan Vong.
That said, these people seem to really hate him. Given the reasons they hate Rowling, Lovecraft and to a much quieter extent Tolkien you can read in between the lines.
If I had to guess George probably had some unflattering things to say about said person next to her in the video and others like him that ostracized him from Hollywood, but I can't say what or youtube will eat my comment again.
@@girlbuu9403 no idea what youre talking about...
@@greggybada Just the way youtube wants it.
she is the director of the upcoming starwars series, acolyte
@@girlbuu9403George Lucas had to approve of every book, every comic and every game that was made under his ownership. Whatever the general story was and any new characters that were created, he had to know them ahead of time and if he didn’t like something, it couldn’t be included in whatever was being worked on, unless it was tweaked in one way or another so that George would be happy with it. To say he had little to no input on all that stuff he didn’t personally write, produce and direct Star Wars related is nonsensical. Every major character and story went through George regarding the books, comics and video games.
Well, George Lucas is the heart and soul of Star Wars. Pretty sure it’s reasonable to say he has the key to make Star Wars good. Just listening to Leslye, it’s clear she doesn’t have the key to making it good.
Acolyte will be a massive failure and they'll blame us for it. EDIT: I don't believe anyone is capable of making good star wars without George Lucas. Even he said it as much himself when asked about someone who will run it after he's gone. It was in a 60 Minute interview with Lesly Stall if anyone wants to verify it.
When the servants of demons hate you, you’re probably an angel.
This is the one thing that always keeps me from just hating 'the bad orange man'. Then again, no one hates more than someone who feels they were betrayed by a kindred spirit... See Funny Russian Mustache Man and Funny German Mustache Man.
@@girlbuu9403 that rule doesn't apply to politics, it's just demon infighting over who gets to suck your blood.
This is a woman who had been Harvey Weinstein's personal assistant for a year, but apparently pictures of her with him are hard to find.
This argument would hold more water if "the person who hired Ralph McQuarrie" wasn't George Lucas himself.
Only egotistical people think they know better than the original creator...
The difference is, George Lucas doesn't talk about business during the making of movies like she does, she talks about how to run a business and who to hire and fire etc, George would always talk about his Vision, being star wars, it's not about who you have acting, how much money you pay them and how you ran the business during the making of a film, it's about how you apply yourself with your vision to make it to the big screen, taking sacrifices and risks to create what's needed to make these films, The whole movie industry sat back knowing full well that they didn't have the technology and didnt want to spend the money for the technology like George Lucas did with Industrial Light and Magic, they knew if they sat back that someone else would do all the hard work only for one of those rich thick skulled f cks to get off their ass, make it hard for George to continue his vision only to buy the entire company and franchise out for the price of peanuts, and then fail to even continue to make any good movies out of it at all, and then attack the fans because we spoke the truth, She is the Devil and an ugly one at that
George Lucas IS Star Wars. In my opinion, if a concept didn't come from him or at least didn't have his approval, it's bs.
Disney Star Wars in a nutshell.
Ah, fantastic. The one who will do 'The Acolyte', a series which will be highly dependent on concepts seen in the Prequels, doesn't like the Prequels.
Yeah it's fuckin bullshit, screw the prequel hating sheep
They don’t seem to like anything George created
@@Hurrishane03And try to push this BS narrative that the OT succeeded *in spite* of George
George Lucas understood Star Wars more then the Mouse.
How could George Lucas possibly misunderstand Star Wars? He created the whole thing.
Like like like... She couldn't even speak english properly
Why does she look so much like the trans in Shrek 2 ?
None of what she said made any sense.
She's a fucking turd. What do you expect. It's just oppression and patriarchy, give me a job and a million $
The 'auteur myth' = the language of someone who's never truly met and understood one. Not everyone IS replaceable and identical however much you'd like that to be true.
These people are evil.
Charlie uniform November tango
Btw, Lucas hired Ralph McQuarrie. It’s called “fact checking”. Took me all of 10 seconds to disprove your BS, Leslie.
I love the last quote it should be played everytime she thinks she has something to say
critics can't create a better product.
At least I know who George Lucas is, this women I dont know.
George Lucas hired Ralph McQuarrie.
"Everyone is sitting waiting for George, and not for the one who's gonna know to hire Ralph McQuarrie" is an insane quote.
George HIRED McQuarrie.
I can hardly even decipher what she's trying to say, she articulates it so terribly, but its clear shes just trying to give a BS intellectual spin on "George Lucas had other people do all the good stuff in the OT, but he was allowed to do whatever he wanted in the prequels" argument, which has been debunked millions of times by now and it shows just how little she knows about Star Wars. Before I heard this, I had 0 interest in The Acolyte because Headland fundamentally misunderstands the Jedi, but now I have negative interest in this soon to be dumpster fire.
Who is she again? I never heard of this clown.. George started the SW universe.. personally I prefer the more greyish EU, but that doesn't change the face that GEORGE LUCAS is the founder of everything SW related.
another being who doesn't understand Star Wars, i'm not going to see her fucking show for sure, George had a specific vision, every Star Wars fan should know that, other authors could do it better or worst but the vision who create what it is it's unique
Just let fans be in charge, what could possibly go wrong?
Well.. the fans drove George Lucas away from his own creation, so.. yeah.
@@fundhund62 Those weren't fans, those were incel no-lifers.
@@fundhund62portion of OG fans never appreciated the good facets of the prequels
if disney didnt pay off politicians to push back public domain, star wars would be in the hand of the fans
George Lucas’ prequels are infinitely better than anything you will ever create.
Its literally only george lukas because its his movie
She sounds kind of confused, but Ralph Mcquarrie has absolutely defined the look of star wars.
Everything we recognize in the look of star wars is his work.
Ugh, another prequel hater...
And she's claiming she's been inspired by the prequels to do her tv series. A huge hypocrite.
I thought she started an interesting argument at first ... until she started slandering someone unnamed and mentioned misogyny and dropped some dogwhistle term.
She did?
wtf does the lookbook matter if there is no story
And there is a reason why the Acolyte was cut from 12 to 8 episodes, filming delays and now a lawsuit. Dummy #1 and dummy #2 (we all know who I am talking about) do not have a clue how to make a movie let alone a Star Wars movie! Pound sand!
It's mind boggling how after all her repeated failures, KK was still allowed to go on with this series directed by the infamous Epstein assistant. You have to be wondering what kind of blackmail she is in possessive with.
I flippin’ HATE Star Wars so much! Oh, wait a minute, that’s not correct. I absolutely LOVE George Lucas’ Star Wars and absolutely HATE Disney Star Wars. Yes, that sounds more accurate.
she is clueless especially since george did have a hand in the prequels as well
Why did my comment get deleted??
I don't delete comments but UA-cam automatically deletes stuff even though I allow all comments.
I had a lot of comments that were actually there for years on some of my videos that quietly disappeared sometime after 2016, 2017. That seems to be when UA-cam got really draconian about the comment section, no idea what could have been going on at that time to cause it.
@@girlbuu9403 It's the timeframe where the woke ideology took over.
@@girlbuu9403 Some comments end up pending in the review zone, some just never appear anywhere. Mega corporations don't like freedom of expression, it's dangerous.
@@JarJarAbrams They definitely follow some trends. I made a comment about the gentleman pictured in the video and the things he did that is now gone. Interesting who they protect, isn't it?
who?
A bitch hire by Kathleen kennedy to make a Star Wars series
Ain't no way she just blamed the creator, star wars is george lucas and every fan knows that, what you make has to allign and make sense with what he made, you can't just make random bullshit and expect people to like it, the fact you are making a tv show based on the old republic is only something hardcore fans will know, so this really has to be good
In another interview she says she doesn't like Han Solo, implying he represents toxic masculinity.
These are the people Kathleen Kennedy hires to make Star Wars shows.
She’s right about Ralph McQuarrie.
who is this
The showrunner of the next Star Wars series The Acolyte
Me too honestly. 😂
Spoken like a true Sith.
To add some context, she was talking about the artist who did visual concepts for Star Wars and how he doesn't really get recognition for his part in Star Wars and how she thinks everyone believe Lucas is the sole reason for Star Wars.
On that point she is right, and no one is going to honestly say it was all Lucas.
But her claim you don't need Lucas for Star Wars and using The Prequels as an example is ridiculous and condescending. Star Wars would not be Star Wars without Lucas because he is the original creator.
I don't have hope for the show if she is at the helm.
But a lot of Star Wars fans do give recognition to Ralph McQuarrie. Also, her point is moot because it was George Lucas who hired McQuarrie.
Lastly, George wrote ALL of Star Wars by himself. Yes, it takes a team to film and produce an entire movie. But, the story came from one man and one man alone. So, the arteur myth stands strong for George. Maybe when you know what you’re talking about and when you’ve had an original idea that changes the world, you can talk about George. But, until then, shut up and sit down.
Coming soon to the Constitution, the Qu'ran, General Relativity Theory and everything else 🤣
I agree to some extent that Star Wars has become larger than Lucas but a Star Wars director still has to understand the universe and its ethos. You can’t be Lucas but you can understand the setting and what makes it work.
Did it tho? Regurgitating the same he created during the 70s/80s and to some extent the 90s/00s?
Everything that happened since Disney bought Lucasfilm proves you wrong. There might be some people who can do Star Wars justice, they certainly don't work at Disney and wouldn't get hired anyway.
Breaking news: I've made some terrible mistakes. Other breaking news: I had nothing to do with creating the Star Wars elements people actually like.
you create Star Wars, i like all your decisions and the ones from other people except for most of the disney canon
I love Lucas’ creations, and I also love the things SOME people added, like, anything from Timothy Zahn.
Fucking bullshit
So what? As far as I remember, everybody was ok with RedLetterMedia being George Lucas haters. Or with JJ Abrams being one. She´s just another face, no big deal.
She not only bashed the prequels, she's also saying that the success of the OT should be more credited to Ralph McQuarrie and that George Lucas wasn't essential to Star Wars. Barely a player in this big collaborative game.
@@JarJarAbrams Sure, but people have been pushing this narrative for decades now.
It was McQuarrie, Marcia or some of the other editors, but certainly not the guy who invented, wrote, directed and guided (edited!) the whole thing 🙈
The fact remains that without George Lucas there is no good Star Wars, and while he was still present there was never bad Star Wars.
Fuck the prequel haters, that's the problem. That prequel hate is so widely accepted by mainstream media and critics. It's a load of fuckin bullshit
If you don't know the name Ralph Mcquarrie, then I don't what to hear you whine and complain about how the only things that is good about Star Wars came from George Lucas.
The only other person that should even be allowed to touch Star Wars at this point is Dave Filoni. There’s a reason it was gate keeped. Honestly used to hate gatekeepers, after what happened to Star Wars, gatekeep away please. For the love of god please.
@@erikwegner8758 I’ve actually heard great things about andor, super funny considering it was the Star Wars show I was least excited for. Maybe I’ll check it out!
@@FlorasMori Save your time. Andor is just terrible. They don´t even try to make it resemble Star Wars. For my money, it´s just run-of-the-mill science fiction, the kind of which we have already seen 150 times (and likely, better).
You people need to stop acting like George Lucas is infallible. The guy gave us Midi-chlorians and when asked to come up with new Sith he seriously suggested "Darth Icky". I get that compared to JJ Abrams and Rian Johnson, he's great, but he's not the arbiter of good storytelling or good dialogue.
Disney is literally making entire movies and TV series out of throwaway lines from the original trilogy. "Many Bothans have died" spawned more content than Disney's 5 movies and 3 series ever will.
Uhhhh yes he is! He basically single handedly saved Hollywood in ‘77! Don’t knock the idea of midichlorians because you don’t understand it either .
of course george lucas fails at something... but that's because he always tries new things...
George Lucas is inherently infallible as far as Star Wars is concerned, because he's the creator. He's the only arbiter that matters.
@@BigLeo7205 Understanding Midi-chlorians is the exact reason they're bad writing, dude. When you bottle up the Force, it loses some of its mystique.
Well she's not wrong about Lucas. He proved to be a weak misguided man. And then sold out to Disney. Women seem to like to go after men that show weakness. Hey you didn't do that!
You're an idiot, he's a creative genius.
