Forensics officers have been spotted carrying out enquiries at an address close to the heart of a double murder investigation in Chelmsford. An eyewitness told EssexLive forensics officers were at an address on The Causeway in Great Baddow.
The address is less than a minute's walk from an address on Pump Hill where police have been investigating a double murder.
Photos seen by EssexLive show a number of specialist officers wearing all-white protective gear standing next to perimeter fencing near a property in Great Baddow.
The Causeway is a busy road in the Essex village acting as a bus route and it runs across the front of The Vineyards shopping parade.
EssexLive put the eye witnesses' claim to Essex Police and asked whether the activity was connected to the ongoing investigation into the deaths of John and Lois McCullough.
A spokesperson was unable to confirm or deny it, but did say: "As part ongoing work connected to the investigation, officers are continuing to search addresses in and around Pump Hill. This policing presence is expected to continue for the coming days."
