I don't want to put myself in the position of waiting too long to call for an appointment and then waiting 6 months for an open time slot. We do not. If you are coming from out of town you will need to stay in a hotel for a few days after surgery to make sure you are healing well and then I will clear you to go home to finish healing under the care of your GP. if you are in town you will be healing at home.
Treating the swelling all depends on why the arm is swelling more than the other, I would contact your surgical team and see if the swelling can be evaluated.
Skin looses elasticity as we age, and some skin is prone to being less elastic due to underlying conditions. I can not recommend you personally get the procedure until I see you for a consultation, but for most patients with extra skin in this area a Brachioplasty will give them good results.
Training is a big part of it. A plastic surgeon who's board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgery is the ONLY surgeon who's appropriately trained to do these procedures. That's by far the best way to minimize your risk of complications. Also, good nutrition and exercise before surgery. The healthier someone is, the lower the risk of complications overall in general.

After massive weight loss, this procedure changes lives. The only better one might be a tummy tuck, but after that its a Brachioplasty.

I do this sometimes if there’s a lot of fat in the upper arms. We do a debulking stage followed by a skin removal stage later

Just had my brachioplasty august 9th 2024 and one arm is super swollen all the way to my fingers, the other arm is fine. How can I reduce swelling.
