      After massive weight loss, this procedure changes lives. The only better one might be a tummy tuck, but after that its a Brachioplasty.

    Love your video, very informative, I want to get this procedure done, I would like to get the liposuction first and then after awhile get the extra skin removal; do you think is it a good idea?

      I do this sometimes if there’s a lot of fat in the upper arms. We do a debulking stage followed by a skin removal stage later

    My surgery is scheduled for this October. But I plan on being pregnant by next spring. Do you recommend I move forward with the surgery??? Will I regain all the weight back and undo the work with pregnancy gain???

    I'm hoping to consult with you in early 2025 about lipedema official diagnosis and treatment plan. How long is the current waiting time for an appointment? I don't want to put myself in the position of waiting too long to call for an appointment and then waiting 6 months for an open time slot. (I have been in that situation and it messes up my plans😅) Thanks!

    Do you have a recovery house?

    • @DrHagopian
      @DrHagopian  5 місяців тому

      We do not. If you are coming from out of town you will need to stay in a hotel for a few days after surgery to make sure you are healing well and then I will clear you to go home to finish healing under the care of your GP. if you are in town you will be healing at home.

    Just had my brachioplasty august 9th 2024 and one arm is super swollen all the way to my fingers, the other arm is fine. How can I reduce swelling.

    • @DrHagopian
      @DrHagopian  5 місяців тому

      Treating the swelling all depends on why the arm is swelling more than the other, I would contact your surgical team and see if the swelling can be evaluated.

    I did liposuction but my bat arms are still there and I’ve never been in overweight, it is just genetic. Do you still recommend the brachiplastic?

    • @DrHagopian
      @DrHagopian  5 місяців тому +1

      Skin looses elasticity as we age, and some skin is prone to being less elastic due to underlying conditions. I can not recommend you personally get the procedure until I see you for a consultation, but for most patients with extra skin in this area a Brachioplasty will give them good results.

      You're going to do awesome! The recovery is different for everyone, but generally speaking recovery from this isn't too bad. Let us know how it goes.

    How do doctors prevent those risks you mentioned?

    • @DrHagopian
      @DrHagopian  3 роки тому +1

      Training is a big part of it. A plastic surgeon who's board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgery is the ONLY surgeon who's appropriately trained to do these procedures. That's by far the best way to minimize your risk of complications. Also, good nutrition and exercise before surgery. The healthier someone is, the lower the risk of complications overall in general.

      @@DrHagopian I lost a significant amt of weight and I am wanting to get this done but I am wanting to know if anyone would allow me to pay for the procedure before I get it done?
