He truly is the only one who I could say has actually nailed and possibly transcended Clints look and style for westerns. A pleasure to watch for sure!
If they were to make a live action Red Dead Redemption movie, look me in the face and tell me this guy wouldn't make the perfect John Marston. Go ahead, I dare ya.
@@DovahTheHero I agree, I think this guy could have done a much better job as Geralt. I think I'm the only person that wasn't that impressed by The Witcher.
Hell On Wheels is a great show, I started watching it on Netflix last week and I am addicted to it. Love the characters and the entire writing, editing, directing and music. I would recommend it to everyone that has a love for westerns and the history of how the railroad came about in the US, also history and what was going on after the civil war.
I'm so used to his southern drawl on the show, that my mind keeps inserting over his actual voice. :p I actually don't like westerns, my parents loved them, but I always thought they were a bit too campy for me. But there's something about this one that just draws me in, I love everything about the show.
Hello from Georgia !. You may recognize me from the AMC blogs in Season 2 Finale thread as ' jackstones" Anson, this is a fabulous interview. I have been a loyal fan since Season 1, Episode 1. I have been a strong advocate for Clint to write and direct a new western movie for you in the role he made famous under Sergio I look forward to your upcoming movie as a Navy Seal . I am glad your interview put the Lily thing behind us. Time to move on for Season 3 and many more. Cheers !!!!!!
Anson you do so well i like your protyle as well as Clint did all these years. Keep up do more love the sho have not missed one episode as far as I know. hope i can buy on video someday.
I want to add that your on-screen dynamics w/ actor Grainger Hines as Doc Whitehead was superb by both of you. Star Quality all way around. Excellent interaction. I wish you every success in the future. You're the perfect aristocratic gunslinger /fearless Southern Rebel as Cullen Bohannon, capable of incredible strategy, most similar to the striking role made famous by one of Hollywood's Greatest, Clark Gable as Captain Rhett Butler. There's a story yet to be written about Captain Butler .
I remember watching Clint Eastwood westerns after church on Sundays. Wonder if we lived in the same TV market, or if the networks did that in every market. Good to see him back on TV in 2022. I didn't even recognize him without the beard in the Star Trek promos.
The griswald he has in the first season isn’t even a griswald. He’s got a colt navy brass frame but the colt army barrel in .44! The griswald was a .36
I love this show its up there with Clint and Wayne as far as I am concerned. Hated to see common's character die, then again he is probably dong other things. Loved is character.
You have it all wrong it's not the muscles that makes the hero it's the acting. Every superhero is a character like any other and if they were to chose a buff actor with no acting talent to play a superhero then the movie would suck. Just for the record all the recent big budget superhero films had their star bulk up for their role.
Buff actors that dress up like Batman generally don't work. Just youtube a fan film called "Batman: City of Scars" Great cosplay but the actor playing Batman just looks too bulky and slow in the costume. Ironically, I still want Mount as Batman.
HoW: armorer is obviously smart, no one takes the guns off set, no live ammo on the set. Unlike dipsy-doodle who allowed actors nd crew to play with live ammo before a day's shooting.
Why do they always use a skinny whip to play the super hero? They're really buff in the comic books. So why use a scrawny guy with fake mussels? Get someone who's buff! They don't need be a great actor. How hard is it to say "I'm Batman"? One guy got it right. Clark Bartram in Dead End (San Diego Comic-Con 2003) He looks more like Batman then any of the other actors previously used and with out the fake mussels. Batman needs to look like the one in the comic books.
He truly is the only one who I could say has actually nailed and possibly transcended Clints look and style for westerns. A pleasure to watch for sure!
I've met Anson before, very down to earth and easy to talk to.
Anson Mount - hot, talented, intelligent and great sense of humor.
guy has all
It would be great to see both him and Clint in a movie together
If they were to make a live action Red Dead Redemption movie, look me in the face and tell me this guy wouldn't make the perfect John Marston. Go ahead, I dare ya.
First thought I had. No quams here. Afraid the movie would be butchered either way though.
SeattleSundown its funny because at the same time that I got into this show I bought red dead redemption
Michael Dover Same
Also, Joel in The Last Of Us
I always said he is John Marston lol that's coo that I wasn't the only one who thought that.
he could play Geralt of Rivia as well.
They just announced a Witcher netflix series. This guy looks identical to Geralt...
To bad we got Superman as Geralt lmao
@@DovahTheHero I agree, I think this guy could have done a much better job as Geralt. I think I'm the only person that wasn't that impressed by The Witcher.
And Aragorn in LOTR
@@aggin1111 Arathon father of Aragorn.

hi Anson hope you will do again another western TV series.
I can't believe he went from Cullen to Capt. Pike. It's like night and day. On Discovery I wanted him to be like,
_Damnit, Number One!_
I'm so used to his southern drawl on the show, that my mind keeps inserting over his actual voice. :p

there should be a Hell on Wheels movie and he should have been the next Batman
Deathstroke maybe

I wish they’d do more videos about the horses and riding involved in these movies and shows.

1858 not 1857. It is actually correctly called the Remington new Model Army.
The griswald he has in the first season isn’t even a griswald. He’s got a colt navy brass frame but the colt army barrel in .44!
The griswald was a .36
oh look! It's Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher 3 😃
Anson wow the world s most beautiful and handsome man . Greeting s from Norway ❤️
Did you know "The Swede" ? 😊

Love him....great actor. You guys should check him out in Convictions it's on Netflix
I love this show its up there with Clint and Wayne as far as I am concerned. Hated to see common's character die, then again he is probably dong other things. Loved is character.
He could play Joel from The Last of Us
Handsome man 😍🔥
ANSON MOUNT FOR BATMAN!!!
Is it me or does he look exactly like a young Daniel Day Lewis? Like Last of the Mohicans days?

He looks like Geralt here. lol!
Clint Eastwood sleeps in Anson Mount pyjamas.
1857 remington...nice...
+sean wilson It's 1858, and the original army model is in .44 caliber. They use modern replicas in the series.
PEOPLE...WARNER BROTHERS... WAKE UP HE's BATMAN!!
old west Walking Dead and Anson Mount is Rick Grime's great great grand dad
That really doesn't sound that bad. I'd watch that.
Undead Nightmare
+RB Gamer this isn't red dead!
Jesus Monroe No shit. I was just referencing it. Since what you described reminded me of RDR's zombie DLC.
have you seen that film when he's the druggie, he's amazing in it
I so love to get payed for riding horse all day
Gotta love a sexy man that knows how to handle a horse.... Mmm doesn't get much better then that.
There is no 1857 Remington.
It’s a Remington New Model Army patented in 1858
1857 Remington? You're off by a year. You're carrying an 1858 Remington.
I wear he is hot he looks like henry cavill. Both are hot. Meet me plz.
Charlie Hunnam or Anson Mount?
Anson mount
"1857 Remington"? What is this "expert" he says he has?
Yup 1858 if i remember right
I would have maybe accepted 1861..but definitely not 1857.
