What they're so surprised about is how when iKON sings "I'm Okay" it's on a major chord (Happy chord) and proceeding I'm okay comes the irony on what the song is really about which is why the chord is in minor (Sad chord). This is what "text painting" means.

If multiple people worked on the song then nobody is the "writer". Since Bobby, Future Bounce and Kim Jong-Won was part of it too. Just saying no hate, just clearing up that other people should get credit where it's due.

Hanbin is the MAIN COMPOSER and MAIN LYRICIST while others is co-composer and co-lyricist.. lol 'no writer' you talk about give credit to others but doesn't give enough credit to the MAIN COMPOSER the MASTERMIND who create this song. anyway this is the way you should give proper credit. I've searched that "When a song is written by more than one person, it is co-written, or written jointly or in collaboration with another author..therefore each writer is given ownership equally over all of the song, unless another agreement is arranged"-wiki. I’M OK was composed by B.I and Future Bounce, while B.I, BOBBY, and Kim Jongwon were credited as the lyricists. So they're co-writer right? Thank you to cleared this up. I'm sorry for being sensitive and only know superficially. you were right, they have to get credits too

This is why I love iKON's songs, they are always a surprise and so diverse, with unique and contradicting decisions B.I delivers such a vivid atmosphere to their poetic relatable lyrics.*__* And yes, the song is about not being okay but not needing any comfort from others, saying I'm fine (being not) and knowing you will be fine, there's this gap in minor-major inner-outside appearance of a person. I love how you were shocked and picked up the exact details that makes this song's feeling, thank you for showing me that :D And I hope you'll react more to iKON title and b-side tracks, there's definitely more to be surprised about iKON!

i miss him more right now.
I wonder if YG gave his artists Music Theory lessons. I know Hanbin dropped out of High School and he took and passed the Korean GED but I dont know if he goes to a Cyber University for music or something else. GD mentioned YG made him write one song per day when he was training. Dunno if he did the same thing to Hanbin. I'd love to watch some sort of reality show about YG's producers. Their artists have their own studios next to each other like a music factory and it's cool to see them on their Vlives making music, hanging out, having fun.

Siti Aqilah im not a music student so i might not be able to explain it that well. But basically, we’re used to hearing certain chord combinations. Dissonance is when the chords used seem to clash, but it still works. That’s why it gives off a weird vibe- but it’s not out of tune or off. It’s just -dissonant. 🤯 im sorry i cant explain it better than that. 😂😂😂

the second verse rapper (where the strings came in) is named BI/Hanbin and he writes all of iKON's songs. As far as I know he likes to use real instruments in the recordings as well. iKON definitely has some good stuff and i'd love to see some more iKON reactions. I'm glad y'all enjoyed this release as much as I did even though I don't have the musical expertise lol

That's why that ^ makes sense now despite them just saying "I'm ok" in the song. Although the lyrics say "I'm ok", the person really isn't. And here, the reactors (?) are saying that the music somehow implies that the person is saying he is okay but he is not ok, because the song uses both the major ("happy") chord and the minor ("sad") chord.
The lyrics are so gooooooooooooooooooooood, the entire song is GOLD.

Honestly the reason why I prefer this channel's reactions to kpop music is because this is what I want, more reaction to their lyrics, music and their production not just because they are popular and we wanna react to them but y'all pay attention to what they worked so hard for and it makes me feel so happy and proud for these artists.
