I have been on the receiving end of an ASIC investigation and retaliatory action. I had a completely blemish free 26 year Financial Services career. I was a director or Non-executive director on four Australian Financial Service Licensed (AFSL) entities. In the middle of the ASIC/Banking Royal Commission (2019) I was banned from providing Financial Services for four years effectively ending my career at 44 years old (with a young family). I starting working in Financial Services at 18. I learned and worked my way from the ground up to the executive level in three separate Financial Services jurisdictions in Sydney, London and Hong Kong. I was one of two directors (out of five directors - go figure) that ASIC took issue with for perfunctory or technical errors on a website of a "Non-active" AFSL. We even offered to take down the website entirely to correct the technical errors but to no avail. It is my impression, and that of many people in the industry, that I was personally made an "example of" because ASIC itself was under so much pressure during the Royal Commission. I was well known as one of the most compliant, well respected, well connected people in the industry. That was completely taken away by ASIC under very dubious circumstances. I spent my entire families life savings fighting this injustice in the courts only to be basically bankrupted in the legal process and therefore having to drop it without any satisfactory recourse... Exactly what John Adams is saying here is VERY WELL KNOWN in the Financial Services industry; that ASICs order of priorities are "Protect ASIC 1st!", followed by the Government 2nd, the Banks 3rd, Mum & Dad 4th and then the non-bank, non-establishment smaller companies/independent players in the Financial Services industry last. I cannot stress this enough; sadly far too many people in the Financial Services industry and the public are treated like cash cows and second class citizens by ASIC, the Government & the Banks. We all know this to be true and not limited to Financial Services but this is the topic at question here. ASIC destroyed my career, my family, my health and pretty much my life (I'll leave thoughts of that to the imagination...). ASIC is a completely unaccountable, unquestionable and undefinable organisation that needs dramatic reform. I have been connected with John on LinkedIn for many years (name withheld here) and I have followed this saga very closely on this channel. Everything John says here is true.

The family courts have been using psychological abuse to terrorize one part of the population into submission for decades, and murders thousands every year in the process. They self delete to escape. The numbers are close to the annual road toll. No one cares. Only when people are hungry and out on the street, maybe then, something will happen. So, don't hold your breath. Its going to get much worse before people wake up. And they will only wake up when things are bad for them on a personal level.
They never worked/served us. Now that they are close to the completion of their tyrannical plans, the illusion is being dropped and people can now see that they are nothing but useless eaters to those in power...
I left government in disgust a few years ago because of the ineptitude, but above all cronyism. I worked in a department where a particular person who had just moved into an executive role began stacking unfilled high level positions with his friends who were uttely unqualified. I submitted a complaint to the fraud section of the department, and wouldn't you know that two years on he and his friends are still there. The department in question is now a trainwreck due to this croyism and mismanagement. A similar thing happened to my brother who was bullied and abused by his manager openly snd publicly, and had evidence of this including testimonials from other colleagues who had also been abused. He submitted a claim for investigation into the matter, but this manager had the claims dismissed, and my brother was forced to resign under enormous stress. She was then promoted. This cancer of corruption, fraud and abuse of authority is systemic in government, because it is run by immoral and indeed corrupt people. The aps code of conduct that 'servants' agree to adhere to is nothing but a mat to tread on for psychopaths. Keep going John. You have far more constitution than i have to pursue these matters.

One vote every 3- 4 years is insufficient to maintain a democracy, it's evident all over the western world that the people must have more input into decision making to ensure the system is not corrupted.
As damming as these reports and your slide show are it comes as no surprise that there is this amount of corruption and self serving behaviour at this level of government and civil service. They all should be dismissed from their employment and banned from ever holding any position remotely close to a public servant. Then they should all be put through the justice system of we the people by the people and see how they like that.

No-one can get to an influential senior position unless they are corrupt or have the ability to be be corrupted. Those with integrity have an end-point where they can get no higher.

How can we setup a platform where people can go and fund a certain freedom of information request? I don’t know the questions that needs to be asked but we need a platform to bring together the people with the right questions and the people that also wants the answers and wants to fund that FOI.
