Diane: "Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, oh i'm begging you - please don't take my man" Jolene: "Diane, i promise i didn't know he was your man" Man left the chat...
WOW!!! Saw her on Macy's Thanksgiving parade. She blew me away. I'm 73 and I've been listening to country music since the 1950's, this is an outstanding performance,BRAVO!!! CAM!
Col. Hunter Gathers I mean it's not exactly the same, but listen to "Holding Her and Loving You" by Earl Thomas Conley. It's about a man who lives a new woman, but doesn't want to leave his wife because she's been good to him
I'm no country music critic by any means, but this new song will become a classic one day. I had the fortune to be at the T Mobile arena in las Vegas where she opened up her set with this song and it was phenomenal.
A truly gifted singer and writer. We haven't heard the last of her - not by a long shot. She says the song is homage to Jolene - and shared it with Dolly Parton. My guess is that Dolly Parton loved it - and loves her.
So happy the Macy's parade brought so many fans to my favorite country artist! I was so excited when I heard them announce your name and was so upset when they cut your song short :( Love you always Cam!
Tag Garnier you have never heard two black Cadillacs a day in your life if you think that. I have ALL of Carrie underwood's CDs and that song is on two CDs. I've heard the song on CD AND radio. Not even close. Might as well say Miranda Lambert the house that built me is a response to Blake shelton ole red song
Kayla Gibson no it won't. Not even close. Two black Cadillacs would be COMPLETELY COMPLETELY COMPLETELY COMPLETELY COMPLETELY COMPLETELY COMPLETELY out of place with Diane and jolene. Let's just leave it as jolene and Diane and let it be a one song sequel
countrygirl country musiclover Is it just because Diane and Jolene have different vibes than Two Black Cadillacs?? If you listen to Jolene first, then Diane, and then Two Black Cadillacs, it seems like they could be related. Jolene and Diane would want some form of revenge for the heartache the man put them through. You don't have to believe those of us that think this, but we'll have our beliefs and you'll have yours.
Macys Thanksgiving Parade took me here. she has a beautiful voice including her vocals. this lady would never ever lip sync because she has a beautiful voice and wants to share it with the WORLD.
She’s said it was based off of Jolene, but your comment made me consider it! Except Camilla damn well knew about Lady Diana. Ya know, because of the internationally televised royal wedding and all... lol can’t play dumb after that
Oh a song named after me, how cute, seems funny hearing my name in a song, my mum would have been thrilled? As my dad wanted to call me Ethel Daisy.lol
Y’all, it’s Diane was begging Jolene not to take him, she saying she saying she didn’t know he was her man. The man is Jack, from “When I was Jack and you were Diane”.
I get to thank Home Free for this wondrous discovery of Cam. Thanks, GUYS! You should all check out Mayday in both of their versions. They're acapella and both have different ways of singing the same song and its great both ways.~
Home Free is the best group ever in my opinion - they also really exposed me to Cam, I think I saw her on American Idol & liked her & her songs she sung but never got around to actually really listening to her. Home Free's cover of Mayday just blows your mind - just when you think they can't get any more amazing they sing like that. Only discovered them last year or the year before & really started listening to them this year.
Me and my dad first heard this song on the radio, and he literally rewound the song like 4 times just so he could here the beginning of the song again. We love this song!!!!!
mohamed houissa Yup, it's actually supposed to be from Jolene's point of view.. her response. It's a sequel song. Just like, "Stay" by Sugarland is a response song to Reba's "Whoever's In New England".
99.9 A very infectious song and I pretty much love it. I just don't care for the very abrupt way the song ends (and the note it ends with) . I know this practice has been used in the genre for probably 15 or 20 years by now, but I have never gotten used to it. I will always like the way that songs used to end; namely, in an instrumental fade, or on a note that lets you know the song is over.
Part One: Jolene
Part Two: Diane
Part Three: Two Black Cadillac's
spork Yes! And all 3 are killer country numbers :D
Lol!! Ikr!!
Ohhhh!!! I love the way you wrote that story!!! The link between these 3 amazing country songs: it's just perfect!!
actually there's 4 parts....part one:Jolene
Part two: Diane
Part three: Does He Love You (by Reba McEntire)
Part four: Two Black Cadillac's
Anna Banana i see a good movie coming out of that
Diane: "Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, oh i'm begging you - please don't take my man"
Jolene: "Diane, i promise i didn't know he was your man"
Man left the chat...
😂
WOW!!! Saw her on Macy's Thanksgiving parade. She blew me away. I'm 73 and I've been listening to country music since the 1950's, this is an outstanding performance,BRAVO!!! CAM!
love this
It would be awesome to see Dolly and Cam perform together and combine the two songs.....:)
That would be amazing!
My showchoir is combining them this upcoming season...:)
@@maddiecrocker9197 Suite Sound?
Recently there was a colorguard show combining the two songs.
Edit: It was Dobyns-Bennett 2022 Winterguard show, Jolene and Diane
That would be great
I've heard diane, I've heard jolene. Now I want the dudes perspective.
Col. Hunter Gathers I mean it's not exactly the same, but listen to "Holding Her and Loving You" by Earl Thomas Conley. It's about a man who lives a new woman, but doesn't want to leave his wife because she's been good to him
It's called Truth is by Theory of a deadman lmao
He couldn't cause of the song 2 black c Cadillacs
Ewert and The Two Dragons-Jolene :)
I Told You So, by Randy Travis
Diane was begging Jolene not to take her man. This is Jolene's response after she found out he wronged the both of them.
Tthis is Diane's point of view telling Jolene that she didn't know he was Jolens man.
Kennedy Carr you have it backwards
Kennedy Carr that doesn't make sneae
For another "response from Jolene", I recommend Jennifer Nettles "That Girl". She even name checks. ua-cam.com/video/yh4n9tdS5yo/v-deo.html
Manal Barre hey check out my cover Subscribe i sing old new country music
It's like a trilogy
Part One: Jack and Diane by John Mellencamp
Part Two: Jolene by Dolly Parton
Part Three: Diane by Cam
Part Four (The End): Two Black Caddilacs - Carrie Underwood lol
@@tainasousa8399 I wonder if this should be turned into a medley with each of the original singers
PART 4: "the wedding list" by Kate Bush...
@@MeganEwing-sg8hs hi 👋
I'm no country music critic by any means, but this new song will become a classic one day.
I had the fortune to be at the T Mobile arena in las Vegas where she opened up her set with this song and it was phenomenal.
So Dolly was really Diane, and Cam is actually Jolene. Finally, after all these years we have a response!
6001191ironschools true. But maybe Jolene was trying to take the man purposefully but also legitimately not realizing he already belonged to Diane.
Kaitlin Anna Mind blown
She is apologizing, because the Hubby took off the wedding ring, right.
Lol
I was confused thank you
Love Cams music she has a great voice to me she's "THE NEXT WOMAN OF COUNTRY" JUST LOVE HER
Her voice is beautiful. I'm in love with this song ❤

To some extent, yeah!
Seen her live and she said is the response to Jolene!
PRECISELY!!! I immediately thought the same thing!!!
It's a modern day Jolene lol

Macy's day parade led me to this beautiful lady.. now i am hooked. Who's with me!!!
PRETTY COOKS same

There is something abt her voice that drags me to her. Awesome cam.
Listen to Jolene, then this, then two black Cadillacs. This is amazing
Goose bumps you give to me cam...great song Diane...im growing fond of you...i love to sing......
remarkable song..got that classic country relationships analysis...love the celtic guitar feel
This womans voice...oh my good lord in heaven.
Once again Cam has amazed me and gotten herself on my favorite songs list
I know every single thing about this song I listen to it soooo much !! Love you cam, best song ever!
A truly gifted singer and writer. We haven't heard the last of her - not by a long shot.
She says the song is homage to Jolene - and shared it with Dolly Parton. My guess is that Dolly Parton loved it - and loves her.
This should have millions!

beautiful song from a beautiful voice from a beautiful girl
One of my all time favorite songs. Especially so after learning how it collaborates with Jolene.
Hello
So happy the Macy's parade brought so many fans to my favorite country artist! I was so excited when I heard them announce your name and was so upset when they cut your song short :( Love you always Cam!
This is so much like old country it's amazing. 💓💓💓
Diane is a response to Jolene. And Two Black Caddilacs is the next in this "trilogy"
Tag Garnier you have never heard two black Cadillacs a day in your life if you think that. I have ALL of Carrie underwood's CDs and that song is on two CDs. I've heard the song on CD AND radio. also i think the song before he cheats diane can go with also does he love you by reba
countrygirl country musiclover Is it just because Diane and Jolene have different vibes than Two Black Cadillacs?? If you listen to Jolene first, then Diane, and then Two Black Cadillacs, it seems like they could be related.

I love this song.
I love this song and it rarely plays on the radio!
I love it
This is produced so beautifully.
What a stunning melody......her voice......whole nine yards. .....
Now that's what I call a superb country song.
Perfect to get me in the mood for the week ahead.
Love it
Macys Thanksgiving Parade took me here. she has a beautiful voice including her vocals. this lady would never ever lip sync because she has a beautiful voice and wants to share it with the WORLD.
Miami can be a tough crowd for country music, but when she opened for Sam Smith's concert last night we all had a great time and showed her love ❤.
Great song!
2024 still on my top 20 cw songs ever
If you dont get it , dolly is diane and cam is jolene we need the dudes perspective lol
You are amazing. I honestly think you deserve far more recognition than you have. When's your next album coming out?
Wondering if this is supposed to go along with Jolene by Dolly Parton or is supposed to be about princess Diana
Diane Was the "Other Woman" who was singing TO Jolene. Very well done in my opinion.
This song was inspired by Jolene! The artist has even said so.
This is the Response to the song Jolene
She’s said it was based off of Jolene, but your comment made me consider it! Except Camilla damn well knew about Lady Diana. Ya know, because of the internationally televised royal wedding and all... lol can’t play dumb after that
It's supposed to be a response to Dolly Parton's Jolene
Heard this on the radio! Was beautiful music
Oh a song named after me, how cute, seems funny hearing my name in a song, my mum would have been thrilled? As my dad wanted to call me Ethel Daisy.lol
heard it yesterday 8th jan 2018 for the first time, and loved it, lively tune with a good story, love your voice
Y’all, it’s Diane was begging Jolene not to take him, she saying she saying she didn’t know he was her man. The man is Jack, from “When I was Jack and you were Diane”.
Just such a brilliant sound
yall our all girls show choir has a mashup of this and jolene in their show its so stunning

What an under-appreciated song this is
i absolutely love this song!! i've heard it so many times that it's in my list of top five fav. country songs!
My mum showed me this the other day and I can't stop listening to it😍😍
It wasn't me - Shaggy... trilogy complete.
