Yoshi vs Ice Climbers at top 8. What a timeline for mid tiers.
Majors this year have been amazing, a great year of Melee.
A good flashback to Kings of Cali 4 where amsa and fly amanita became my favorite players
I think it's time we consider Yoshi a high tier

Nice to see ICs performing again in both games. SluG and Big D played insane.
Bro Slug is a real one, but having to go against aMSa twice is brutal. Not sure any Icey in history could win a Bo5 against aMSa in his current form
I love seeing Amsa win, but I hate seeing Slug go.
I can’t wait to see Slug getting better and better going forward! It looked impossible in the beginning but he adapted hard and made the set real interesting! I think he could be a aMSa case eventually where he’s so labed out he could beat anyone given enough time!
That's true. It was a long period of time where people thought Amsa simply couldn't beat certain matchups no matter how well he played yoshi. slug definitely showing signs he can already tho, which is crazy. big fan of slug, rooting for him every tournament in the future as watching high level icies is very entertaining

A much more competitive set than it looked like it would be in the 1st minute.
Very good matches, slug SDs a few times against amsa in both rounds. Without those, its doable.
