This song was the reason for many people of our generation to pick up the guitar and sing Aadat. It is definitely more than 10 years. I think, it was recorded in 2004 or 2003.

@@jetpark3743 I don't know where you're from and I don't wanna assume but you clearly don't have any idea about this region. Pakistan, India, Bangladesh are just a division created by the British. Couple hundreds years ago we all were part of the same culture. We were just fools to fall for British traps but the connection between our people will never change.
I still have "Jal Pari" album in mint condition so no it's not just his popular songs that people here still listen.
Of course not everyone gonna continue listening for decades but doesn't mean we don't listen to anything outside film songs lol
*Aadat* is the song so rooted to my teenage memories. It's kinda nostalgic moment for me to see him again sing the song. 💖👏
10 years ago he was also very known. In both India and Pakistan and the world.
I went to his concert in South America in 2011. It was my first concert and it was insane. It was the highlight of his career.
fun fact, Atif always loves this rock side of Atif Aslam which he was initially before turning into bollywood. You will always see him performing in concerts the rock versions of Aadat & Wo Lamhe which he sung in his album Jal Pari. He has never performed the movie versions of these songs live. He admitted himself he didn't like the movie versions since they changed the genre of these songs for suite the bollywood.
This is from 2005, a month before he was booked for his 3rd official gig, which happened to be at my school. He did a 5 song concert. It was amazing. One if my core memories not just because of his performance but that was the first time I actually got to meet him when he was still relatively unknown. He had just started out. Met him again a few years ago at another concert but this time I happened to be in the venue’s security team assigned to him. I had a chance to talk to him and it turns out he remembered me from all those years ago. He’s still the same kind hearted man that I remembered him to be. There will never be another Atif Aslam.
"aaAaAAAAAAAaaaAaAaaa - NA JAANE KABSE" will always be one of those most iconic Pakistani and south asian songs' opening lines and the song itself 😍

He was star at that time as well adat which he is singing in the video was already released and became an anthem in youth of pak & ind he was on concert tour to dubai and he sang it for some fans randomly on road ❤

It's not ten years old, it's nearly 20 actually. That's barely a 20 yr old Atif. With a broken guitar, and just the start of fame. He still probably had his broken bonnet car and had not many months ago physically distributed his album before it suddenly took off and became most sold album for the next two years
90's kid in school and college got stuck with this song and a new era of music was started in Pakistan.
I respect this man so much. I mean there's genuine love in my heart for him, I have been his fan since I was ten. I wish to meet him someday.
