I have never laughed so much in all my life. My father and family used to eat these, pigs trotters but they were never pickled. They used to be included in all the offal from animals which working class people would eat. Glad I was the next generation down, couldn’t put any of it in my mouth. Glad you are all up and running again. Mary from the North East of England.

We use to use trotters and make brawn out of them which is like a jellied pork meat etc you boil it and add gelatine. we also have lambs hearts with sage and onion stuffing cooked in oven. Love liver but calf’s liver best I was never clean on kidney

Love you all keep on doing these and others it’s fantastic to see you all love from the Macken’s Uk. Try jellied eels or smoked eels black pudding boil it and cut it open English mustard and vinegar, from Lancashire uk or White pudding from Ireland you fry it in bacon fat or at Christmas we use to cut our Christmas pudding and fry that with our bacon the salt and sweat of the fruit. I learnt that with my tools and they cost a lot. One person borrowed my plastering float which cost me over £40 it came back rusted up and no good for anything but concrete. Never ever lend good tools if you have cheap stuff ok as you replace them but if they want you good tools you go and do the job for them it’s easier and guarantee your tools. The grass grows like that where the dogs go loo.
