i think sometimes if you rip it out way too fast it can get stuck to the bottom and the glue will hold it together. evne then... it really doesnt change the wear of the insole lol. cuz the piece is still glued down to the bottom of the shoe.
I’ve personally messed up some insoles from older pairs trying to pull them out to clean. I wonder if that dude was scamming and fucked up his own insole and was trying to get some money from the shop.
